Has anyone bought cigars from this place? And have you tried thier house brands? if so...what did you think? They are runing a promo (probably all of the time) for their powerhouse offer, and I was wondering if they are any good?

OH MANNNN YOU JUST OPENED UP A CAN OF WORMS.

Never buy from the "T" word. House brands, service, prices, it all sucks. IMHO. I cant wait to see this thread take off.

I've never ordered from them, I've never known anyone who has and liked their house brands. On some forums they will not say the Th****** word. I have a friend who orders his Guirkas from them and has done ok. hope this helps

I get more pop ups and $hit from them!! Only thing they are good for is sending you a catalog once a month for bathroom reading!! I also compare them to Cigar.com prices and see how rediculous they are!!! :soap:

Ya know Capt - it gets really annoying when you beat around the bush about things! :lol:

Check the prices, like Capt says - some times the difference is staggering sometimes. The price on a 2pack of drawpokers is pretty decent though! Hey, I had to try and say something positive here.

RUN RUN RUN. I have made two purchased from T. I bought a travel case with 12 cigars (great brands) for a pretty good price. However, two of the cigars were falling apart. No one at T would help me solve this problem. I then bought a humidor as a wedding gift, it came with a cutter, travel case, lighter and a bundle of their house brand. THe bran was perhaps the worst cigar i have ever smoked. The humidor was ok, the other stuff worked alright. There is nothing good abou tthe place...well you could say the catalog is entertaining to read when you are on the can.
"Thompson's readers rate this one a 90." Great quote they use all the time. Final result, save your money for other sites.

T...... is way over priced, on most of the items in the catalog, How ever I did get a pipe from them a few years ago, the price was high for what I got But I got what I wanted , the pipe is the same color as the jacket I have on in my avaitar,, I wasnt able to find the pipe any other place, it smokes fine & I have had it about 2 years now, , I only smoke it a few times a year, more for show than anything, I have been in the cigar industry for a few years now as a shop Manager / part owner/ & Now factory rep , if you only know what costs are & how much he ups the price , you would wonder how he can stay in business by over charging like he dose ! Yeah, what everyone said above. Their house brand is worse than a dog rocket. I'd rather be smoking a rolled up cardboard shoe box than light up another TCC stick.

Hey Spider, check out famoussmoke.com they don't have the volume of singles(although they are always changing) as cigar.com but they have very good prices on bundles/5 packs and boxes. shipping is dirt cheap for me from PA to NJ $5.95

I'll second the vote for Famous.
I check both them and cigar.com before ordering. Sometimes Cigar.com is cheaper, sometimes Famous is. I've gotten great service and fast shipping from both.

some of jr's stuff is great. I love the Bully's. It is a hit and miss with them. THe ashtons are great, my father in law loves the don diego's. If one is close to you, you might want to drive and see what they offer. Beware, walking into the one in the Carolinas is like walking into a flea market. THe one in dc is great.
