Today's smoke

Should have included a Tatuaje La Casita all CT tobacco in my vacation stash for this trip on the 4th. I didn't know the Amish even smoked.

Had a Gurkha Widow Maker today, better that the few I've had recently if you like a mild smoke.

Opened the day with a Quorum toro, definitley crap. Next was a Hoyo de Monterey toro-not bad, but lacking in flavor and strong. Followed that with an Empress of the DR churchill-barely OK-smoked some torpedos of the brand which are worse. Final smoke was a Don Augusto toro-started out nice and quickly went south. Maybe I'll get to smoke something good tomorrow.

I see you had a bad day with the smokes. Better smoke next time bro.

Burned a box-press Oliva Serie G robusto today. Super tasty, only burned about 40 minutes. It's much softer than other Oliva sticks I've smoked, but stayed cool up until it was about an inch left. Laid it down with about .75" above the cut.

Decided to try an aged (1-2yrs) Casa Blanca Deluxe toro today to see if they improved any. Maybe a touch milder.

Smoked an Alameda robusto today, it was less objectionable than the toro version, but didn't seem to have much going for it. The temps were below freezing, so it was not a leisurely smoked cigar.

Had a 5 Vegas Series A Animal the other night. Nice draw, held a good ash, flavor built through the middle and it finished smooth.

Nice smoke, would definitely have another one!

Bahia maduro pancho today while shoveling snow. The wrapper was almost as black as coal.

yesterday tried a Espinosa EO no.21 toro and found it to be very mild and unremarkable. Today I had a Partagas Serie S toro perfecto- no better with age.
Got a foot of snow on the ground from the day before Turkey and it has been spitting snow off and on yesterday and today with below freezing temps.

Hello it is Tuesday Christmas eve, eve I am sitting in the Qtr.Deck with a cup of coffee a 33 yo Scotch and an opus X I got last Christmas almost 10 PM & the wife just got home from Bible study . It is 52F here & raining, not Christmas weather here in da Burgh. @ this time last year we had had about 24 inches of snow all ready, so far this year about 2 inches....... you dont shovel rain .... AMEN. it is the last night of chaunaka , I celebrate all the holidays ( I will pass on ramadon ) I dont fast & LOVE BACON !
the shop has been BUSY all week, my feet hurt as well as my head.... if one more gray haied grandmother asks me if that is a good cigar ........ WE DONT HAVE JUNK,,,, no machine made cigars in the shop EVERYTHING is hand rolled. ( by virgins ) hahahaha.....
open till 3 tomarrow & then they can go to the gas station & get cigars ....
I stopped at the slippery mermaid a new shushi bar in sewickley Pa. my grandson is a waiter there ,,,, bill was under 20 bucks , I gave him a 50 And told him to keep the change..... he will get his Christmas gift on the 25th.... I got a call from the jewelry shop & the clock I oedered for our anniv. in August came in today...... GREAT timing... I spent all my cash all ready , cant wait till the last minute........
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas & hope Santa fills your humidors
Enjoy, Vince

And a Merry Christmas to all. Vince, you are a day ahead of time-tonite is Christmas eve. I can't seem to get it straight half of the time either- Christmas on a Thursday this year just doesn't seem right. Today we are expecting a deluge and high wind along with flood watches thru Christmas morning. Temps are supposed to be near record highs (low 60's), so I may just find a spot outside where the rain isn't falling and light one up

Go back & read it again , Christmas Eve ,,, EVE

Started the day off with a #50 Anejo ( Robusto size ) Santa brought me a Box of them...... , I have a ISOM Esplendo set aside for later today , with a Nice dram of scotch & coffee, the ham is on the table, & the rolls are just going in the oven & the Christmas music is playing ,,,,, have a safe & happy Christmas & remember that new years eve is AMITURE night, the people who drink once a year will be out & about , I stay home with the other Professionals ,,, Enjoy, Vince

Vince, you need to reread that. Tuesday the 23rd was not Christmas eve, unless Christmas was changed to the 24th. We celebrated today---Christmas that is. I tried a Black Ops maduro toro, but I couldn't get any flavor out of it. I think I may have to give up smoking for a while if I can, to see if I can get my palate back. If not, I'll be on a steady diet of crappy cigars till I do. Yesterday's flood warnings were wrong, we barely got more than a quarter inch and nothing this morning. It was a Christmas without snow here.

tony, I see what Vince is saying: it was Christmas Eve Eve (the eve of Christmas Eve), which would be the 23rd.

At least, that's how I took it.

Dialog that's what this place is missing , a back & forth interplay , good to see it , & MC you were right , Christmas eve EVE is the day before Christmas eve ... ,

And I thought you had finger stuttering. I don't know where everybody went. We used to have a nice small group here last year.

I understood it because I'm divorced/remarried and we split Christmas, alternating from year to year. So, one year Christmas Day is Christmas, one year Christmas Eve is our Christmas Day due to my stepsons going to dad's at 10 in the morning. This created the conversation "It's our Christmas Eve" for the 23rd, and then "It's really Christmas Eve Eve".

You knuckleheads, this is todays smoke not todays poke! Ayways, Ashton ESG 22 Year Salute. ROCKED MY WORLD IN THE LAST 1/3rd!
