Today's smoke

I have heard that quality control is number one priority for Nick Perdomo. It reflects in his cigars for sure.

Tonight's smoke is a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel. If you guys have never smoked a chisel head before, I highly recommend it.

I smoked a Gran Habano Corojo 2002 this evening while cleaning up some new snow. A great winter cigar with lots of body and taste.

Another below freezing spell here, had a Castle Hall and a Cubanos Tesoros robusto yesterday and an Ef Faro robusto today.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. I haven't had a bad cigar in a while. The AB Maxx I smoked tonight was horrible. It was very flat and one Demisional. It kept tunneling out and had to be touched up repeatedly, and it went out twice. The ash was very flakey and weak. Said cigar was in my humidor for several years at 65 RH and 70 degrees.

While I wouldn't discredit AB in general or even this line of cigar, I certainly will not waste my time with another.

90% of the cigars I smoke are great.

Just a little FYI.

My Father Cigars #1 Robusto. The best indicator for me on how much I've enjoyed a cigar is if I smoke it to a nub. My fingers were getting hot. I didn't want to put it down.

Perdomo Habano corojo tonight. Very good cigar! Drinking a Coke with it. They pair very well!

Picked up a couple sticks yesterday. Today I enjoyed a Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 Cameroon. Delicious smoke!

After reading a lot of talk here about Perdomo, the other stick I picked up this weekend was a Perdomo reserve Criollo "10th Anniversary".

This was also a delicious smoke. Quite mellow, smooth and about halfway through the stogie I picked up a slight tang to it. That tang really kept me interested. This is definitely one I am going to pick up again.

After a while of smoking mediocre robustos I decided today it was going to be a better cigar day.
This morning a Pirates Gold big boy natural toro- Ok but a bit harsh from time to time.
This afternoon a Gurgka Widow Maker churchill--nice
Ended the afternoon with a Carlos Torano 1959 Exodus 50 years robusto - ok but not very flavorful.
The sun came out in the afternoon so I sat in a lawn chair just inside the garage with the door open for my afternoon smokes. Nice hot sun and mild winds- must have made it to 40 degrees.

I'm smoking acid toast with my feet up enjoying this great cigar as we speak ;)

Warm day today, smoked a bunch of work cigars and a Cu Avana Intensus robusto- better than the rest but not great.
