What Did You Smoke Today

Had a Romeo y Julieta Reserve Maduro with my Freedom Press Los Inmortales coffee this morning. Very nice earthy, leathery smoke. Great ash that held on for more than in inch before I knocked it off. Perfect draw and burn, no touch ups needed. Smoked this one all the way to the nub. Great smoke.

601 robusto habano it wasnt bad but the natural was better it had alot more spice

Today I smoked my first RP Old World Reserve. My local cigar shop had a RP sampling. I was able to get an old world reserve for free to sample. I have to say, the smoke was great however the burn was way off. I had to re-light this baby three times and it never did correct itself. I bought three more just to see if the burn issue is consistant. I did enjoy the cigar though. I hope that after a few weeks in my humidor, they will burn correctly.

La Aurora Preferido Robusto. Outstanding Cameroon cigar. I will get more of these after the holidays.

Was it the corojo or the maduro? I have yet to try the corojo, but the maduro that I had was way off. These could have used another 6 months minimum before release. It had potential, but wasn't near ready.

My wife and I have a tradition every year where we go out to a nice steakhouse for dinner around this time of the year and map out what we want to give people for Christmas. Well this was last night. After juicy filet at Ditkas we went to the Penninsula Club for cigars and coctails. Smoked:

Don Pepin Garcia JJ Sublime (yummy, best non cuban cigar right now IMHO)

&

The house blend at the Penninsula made by Rocky Patel

Today I had a Rocky Patel Sun Grown Torpedo with a cup of Los Inmortales coffee from the Freedom Press. Nice looking cigar, good construction. Had a light cedar taste on the draw. Good ash that held on for more than an inch. Had a slight burn issue that evened itself out. I can see why so many people make this a go to smoke. Very good overall.

Cusano Corojo 1997 that I was lucky enough to receive in a PIF. It almost made the Saints performance today tolerable. Perfect draw and burn as always. I love that cigar.
