What's Your Profession?

I am a Navy submarine officer. I'm currently on shore duty in Charleston training junior officers and enlisted carrier and submarine sailors on how to stand watch in the engine room of a nuclear submarine. I've actually helped train people in this forum. The work is rotating shift work, so I just smoke when I can.

I am a writer in the Cigar industry....for the new ones around who don't know me....

I write the Cigar.com Newsletter and I am writing a lot of stuff for other non-commerce cigar places...

Fun Stuff...I smoke all the time...luckily, I can work anywhere, which is normally in cigar friendly establishments...

My dad used to be stationed(ret. navy) at the closed naval base out there.
Lots of memories.

And you need my resume to get me a job, or just the fact that I like cigars works? I can start immediately - just let me know the salary range.

I'm the project director for a puplic works construction mamgment firm. I mostly smoke 2-8 dollar sticks with the occational splurge. I have a 60 count humi stuffed, smoke one a day and 4-6 on weekends,. I can smoke at work any time I want, I just go out into the field and check on things. My boss is a cigar guy as well so, as long as I bring one for him it's all Okey Dokey.

I work in the cigar industry. Smoke all kinds of cigars. Wife wont let me smoke inside and since I work it home that keeps me at most to 2 cigars a day

Mac - my wife is the same way - and since I can't smoke inside, and it's starting to get cold outside, I'm not sure where to smoke!

MAYDAY MAYDAY

So, where do you smoke when it's cold out?

I'm just a college student but will be entering the workforce soon enough!! :D

I find the garage a decent place. Stays a little bit warmer in there even with the big door opened.
I dont let the cold bother me too much though, i just throw on my jacket, a beanie to cover the ears and some light gloves and Im set for coffee and cigar!

The South!! :D

I'm a manager of a franchise. do all the scheduling, ordering, and tracking. recently doing a lot of the installs also. Juggle all of that while going to school full time which has done some damage to my free time.

Budget Blinds, selling and installing window coverings from drapes to mini blinds...

ok plug done

Cybrus,

This is our first winter together so I am trying some new things. I have a humidor box at Sullivans steakhouse downtown so if I can pull away I will smoke there. But if the smoking ban passes I will be in trouble.

She actually got me this for our wedding:

Seems to work well so far. It just sits on an outdoor table. However, we have not had any super cold days yet so only time will tell.

Bildo - Hmmm - we are looking at getting some of those wood slat blinds - do you do sales outside of your area?

Mac - that heater looks pretty sweet - may have to look into something like that. This whole 'getting dark at 4:30' thing really sucks though - my favorite cigar activity is reading and that's tough with the sun down by the time I get home from work (I know I know - TURN A LIGHT ON! Heh)

I'm an Electrican's Mate (Nuclear) in the US Navy. I work with the nuclear reactors on the USS George Washington. I don't really have time to smoke at work so I usually do it on the weekends.

Partner in a CPA firm. Don't smoke at the office, but enjoy one every evening. Now I have to fire up the woodstove in the garage (snow on the ground and will be skiing in 21 days), but that actually makes it more enjoyable. Since I don't have any other vices  I try all different cigars and price ranges.

I'm currently unemployed, but I'm about to start working in the air conditioning business, and I've also just begun a correspondence course, and I'm going to learn how to tune pianos.

currently a independent contractor for several local newspapers and weekly shoppers also rebuild race cars on the side gives me plenty of time while working to light up

I think most of you know I am a professional Firefighter (union local 6341). I work 24 hour shifts, and as long as I'm not in the station or on a truck I can smoke. We have a place out back in our grilling area. I usually smoke a pipe at work, because I get real irritated when I light up, just start to enjoy the stick, then get a call. If I have to let the pipe go out, no big deal.

I also own a paint contracting company. We specialize in residential new contruction, but we do our fair share of residential repaints, commercial and light industrial. Actually, Macallan had a chance to see some of my work while he was in town.
