Worst beer?

The worst I have had in sometime has been Sam Adams. I did not like it. For normal drinking I prefer Honey Brown & Amberbock...'course usn hillbilly folk aint got them fandangled places to buy thum thar hifalutin beers

Y'all haven' lived until you've tasted Three Horses. It is the non-alcoholic liquid offered at the mess halls in Mosul. Bud N/A is a very, very close second to None!

The worst beer I've ever had was Kirner Pils. I had it while stationed in Baumholder Germany. Luckily I quickly found Dunkel Weizen.

A good list of bad beers to be certain. But you forgot something.

"Near-beer."

It's what was drank during the prohibition (aside from root beer and cream soda) and had so little alcohol in it that it was impossible to get drunk. :bigpuke:

I love Honey Brown! That and Guinness Draught are my favorites, especially if the Guinness is from tap. Honey Brown won a gold medal from some beer competition for specialty honey lager one time, I'm not sure when seeing as I threw away the box. I've never tried Amberbock, but I have tried a Bock (not sure what brand, I had it at my cousin's wedding reception) and it was pretty good.

18 & a beer Common Sewer hahahahah, the drinking age is 21 in most places I have been, yea I had a beer or 2 at home when I was a lot younger than you, , still in diapers a shot glass of beer was the norm when I was at my grandparents , didnt matter which side of the family, be it mothers or fathers side, eveyone drank beer & wine , or beer & schnapps , just depened on if I was at the Greman or Italian relitives , but the common link was Beer ! did I have a favorite , you bet, what ever was in the glass !!!
Enjoy, Vince

Oh no, you are ALL WRONG! When I was a young Gyrene, me and a few buddies went up to Springfield MI. While there, we pooled up $3 in change for a case of 'Drewery's'(sp?) That was by far the nastiest motha fokka I have EVER tasted!
Guinness just so happens to be my main brew, with Anchor Steam Porter running as my second favorite with Full Sail Amber Ale. Ahhh to be on the West Coast again, I would sell my first born and my left teste.

RAJ - Guiness may not be horrid, but I've heard it described as ghastly. I actually had a 4-pack down at Fernando's. Bought it for Gunny; then was forced to drink it myself. Had a heckuva time getting that little plastic ball out of the bottle :D

Well, Schmit introduced me to it as well, and while it's not a favorite of mine, I don't mind drinking at least one or maybe two, but after that, something different, please.

I do believe it is our own esteemed Mr. CeePee who refers to it as "ghastly beer."

As for that little plastic ball.....shame, Walt! Where's your Emerson CQC-7? That'll have it out in a jiffy!

Maybe I am showing my age but I distinctly remember the worst beer I ever had and it was one of my illicit first in high school -- the infamous "Billy Beer" from then President Carter's lesser brother. I am still amazed I ever tried the beer after that tainted start

Got it out, finally, but it didn't taste any better than the beer.
I would have preferred a Corona and a lime...

Walt, if you like a beer with a fruity taste, shoot me an e-mail with your snail addy and I'll send you a bottle of Thomas Creek Red. It's brewed here in SC, and has a distinct orange flavor.

Stegmaier of Wilkes-Barre. paint thinner tastes better.
Gibbions was another bad one
Unica Club (spelling might be off)
Black Label
Genny

I remember bieng so broke in the early 80s I bought generic beer in a white can with black letters that said BEER. :barf: Baaaad mistake. Couldn't choke it down.
Kept one those cans around on the wall for a few years.

worst beers

ANYTHING by MILLER, ANHAUSER BUSCH, COORS, or any other major brands.

MILLER is SOUTH AFRICAN owned now!

MOLSON RULES!
(take off, eh?)

Molson XXX is the best!
Molson Ice second best!
Lowenbrau is good too! :)

Admittedly though I'm not a huge beer drinker and I don't per se get into touting it because some people have issues with drinking.

I never drink to get drunk. Just a beer here or there with a meal.
Hamburgers and pizza mostly.

:)

That was made by Lucky Lager. Think it was the same stuff as Lucky Draft with more water in it.
