OC Maryland Golf Trip

This is paradise - yesterday was Day 1 of my golf trip with 3 buddies. The weather has been in the low to mid 70's with nothing but sunshine.

I started the trip on Friday night with a tremendous smoke and drink combo. One buddy and I smoked 9 year old Choix Supreme's and 10 year tawny port. Still my favorite pairing ever. The next day it was on to the first course - Baywood Greens. I never played this course before, it is my absolute favorite now - water all over the back - an island FAIRWAY. We play a two man scramble switching every 6 holes. I am the leader with 8 skins on Day 1.

At night - Vegas Robaina Famosa with a cup of coffee - real nice.

Time to get ready for Day 2 - The Beach Club. I am thinking a RASS will give it's life for me today.

:lol: I guess you talked to Craig about what a wimp I am when it comes to drinking. I did drink a ton of vino and port on Friday night.

Day 2 wasn't as productive - I kept pace with my business partner, but now I'm tied with one of the guys. Course took a beating when an electrical strike nailed the irrigation system. But no excuses, my chipping was terrible. Still in the lead even if I am sharing it.

Day 3 was a rock solid day, carried the day and surged into a 2 skin lead going into the last day. My scores were dropping like the Dow Jones Industrials. Played Man O' War - another great course.

Cigar number one was an Epicure 2 (seems like a daily occurence)
A Diplomatico 2 was my second - great smoke
Finished off with a good old reliable RASS

Had half a PSD 4 while playing an extra nine holes where we are staying (Bear Trap Dunes) - great course, lousy burn (too windy.)

Don't know if I will smoke one tonight - it's pretty windy here and I think I don't feel like fighting the breeze.

Finally back in Jersey, sorry to leave OC.

On the fourth day I hit a putt on hole 17 to take the points lead for good. Last year I was in last - worst to first. Then I sank a 25 footer on 18 to put my partner in last - he is not talking to me.
