College Football Discussion

Can we please not give anymore vailidity to the money hungry BCS. Can the NCAA please grow a pair and just have their own national championship under fair rules for all conferneces?

Sorry, but a guy can dream can't he.

Phish--

Part of the problem is that some teams play in weak conferences. Can you honestly tell me that you think that Boise State if they are the only other undefeated team should play Ohio State in the National Championship Game?? (saying that Ohio State goes undefeated also).

The problem is a multifaceted one that does not have as simple an answer as what you desire (playoff system). If they go to a playoff, how will you decide who is in and who is out? Additionally, a playoff system does not determine who the best team is, only who is peaking at the right time and is able to win x number of games in a row. Billy Donovan of Florida even commented that Florida was not in his opinion the best team in Basketball last season, and that if they had been a different seed or in a different region, they probably may not be National Champions right now!

backyard brawl tonight

WVU vs Pitt is on espn. They are calling WVU the big favorite, but it should be a decent game, on the road and the emotions are pretty high.

the half time score was a little depressing, but that quick score and then the defensive stop were impressive to start the 3rd

While I was perusing the Scarlet Knight web site..

NUTLEY, N.J. – The New Jersey based company H57 Hoodia announced they it will be adding the decal "Go Rutgers" to the side of its NASCAR Busch Series No. 70 Chevrolet competing for the series championship at Homestead Miami Speedway Saturday night.

The team will sport a "Go Rutgers" decal on the side of its car as it competes in the Busch Series Ford 300. The race will be broadcast live at 7:00 p.m. to a national television audience on TNT.

it seems like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Actually the Ledger (NJ Newspaper) had a test yesterday where you could determine when you jumped on the bandwagon...pretty funny

It was a fun ride, man! I'm bummed out but had a feeling this was going to happen - I've been an RU fan for too long not to expect this.

I am heading to the RAC for a men's basketball game with my son - it will take my mind off of it.

Kelvin, Bored --- your guys let us DOWN!!!!

That was an a absolute butt whipping!!!!

That may cost WVU a chance at a higher BCS ratings because we really needed RU to win out until Dec 2 so when we whipped you, it would give us more points! ;)

I am guessing that the game will stay at 12:00 p.m. (even though I want it to be 3:30 game!)

Being a RU fan you have to expect a certian level of dissappointment. This I understand. On the otherhand, Cincy?...that just hurts. This does unfortunatly affect WVU's chances of moving higher in the BCS because we lost to an unranked Cincy team. oh well, our chance, even if it was a small one, of a BCS title just went down the tubes....is it possible that we could have the Big East Title....at this point..probably not

Well, not the question is who does Ohio State play for the national championship? Personally, I believe it was already played last night. If USC beats Notre Dame? Florida? I dont know, but all I'll say is:

Go Bucks!

That Rutgers loss also destroyed WVU's chance at the Big East Championship and the automatic bid. We needed Rutgers to win and WVU to beat Rutgers so there would be a 3 way tie for the top of the big east. Assuming WVU and Louisville win out then Louisville gets the tie-break and the Big East championship. No one wants to see that.

University of Hawaii - Warriors!

WooHoo! FINALLY made it to the top 25!

(yeah, I went to UH when they were still called "Rainbows") But that was a looooong time ago.

Louisville fans probably want to see that. Still a few games to go so we'll see what happens.

I can hardly believe that the WVU fans actually have to Cheer for SpITT this upcoming weekend against Louisville. That is akin to OSU cheering for Michigan, and I can honestly say that this may be the first time in my life I have ever cheered for SpITT!
