No offense taken, Ned. We all kid each other here. Flavored cigars they kinda frighten me (chemicals and what not.) I tell folks to smoke really good smokes and drink really good drinks.

Post any reviews you may have in the "What did you smoke Today" thread. I love reading what's the current favorite.

Enjoy!

i used to smoke al capones, they are crap to me now but it was a lot cooler than standing around a bunch of smokers with their marlboros and me with an al capone lol.

and dont even THINK about calling me sweetie!

OK, darlin! (boy, did I open up a can of worms).
Anyway, the Capone wasn't half bad- burned a lot slower and more evenly than I thought- cool aftertaste. But, then again, what do I know- I'm a virgin to this, right? I guess I should sign off the introductions forum, I've done enough damage already.:soldier:

Sweetie, Darlin, Sugar- sorry, it's a southern thing- no offense intended.
I just bought a cheap flavored cigarillo called "Al Capone Sweets"- cognac dipped. Not for cigar purists, but it will be neat to give it a try.

Welcome to the forum Ned, it sounds like your life is anything but dull that is for sure. The best gig I ever got to play at the people were all ove 65, but they enjoyed it, and that is what counts.

Better take it easy on those Al Capones though, I can't help feel they could do serious damage to your palate!

There you go!

Kevin- you call him popular? Didn't you mean infamous?

You're right - but remember I am from New Jersey so that was a tough word for me to spell.

Recently returned to cigars...

...and going crazy trying all the new brands.

I had not smoked a cigar in 15 years until a trip to Canada and Alaska this last Summer. I picked up a couple of nice cubans in Vancouver and sat smoking them while sitting on the fantail of a ship at sunset. It reminded me of why I smoked them in the first place.

My wife got me a couple of samplers and a box of Cusano C10's for Christmas and I was back on. I just returned from a trip to visit my youngest son in Central Florida and brought back a years supply from Tampa. I hit every shop and "factory" in Ybor City. They were very happy to see me arrive.

I found a new favorite smoke thanks to the salesman at King Corona in Ybor. I fell in love with the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970. I liked the JdN Celebracion but the richness of the darker smoke was just perfect. A nice tight draw and an aroma to die for. The taste was so rich and creamy I nearly blissed out. I sat sipping my coffee and absorbing all I could of this incredible $4.50 cigar. I turned around and went right back in to buy several more sticks.

I'll have to go through some of the other cigars I bought before I can order up a box of the Antano's but I can hardly wait.

yes i am lucky to live only 30 minutes from tampa and make frequent trips there to buy from ybor city. has some great old style shops and still some factories.

Hi, wing98. Welcom to the forum. You won't find a better group than here!

Wing 98, welcome to the forum... I always look forward to hearing others experiences. When you tell a story like that, it is amazing you left cigars to begin with. Capt
