Welcome. It is always nice to have another diploma smoker on hand. You need to try a cigar currently nicknamed "papa bruce lee" It is like smoking a rothschild double maduro/ diploma hybrid. Becoming a quick favorite. They will be out later this year and have been an excellent cigar for me. Again welcome.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. I have heard so many amazing thing from you guys regarding the Papa that I'm going crazy here for one. Any chance a good tobacconist might have these from a rep that I could buy or something?

iminaquagmire,

Do you work downtown? If you want to try one just come to cigar.com corporate office in dowtown chicago and you can have one free of charge. let me know if you are itnerested.

About an hour away but even that trip sounds tempting. I own an antiques business in McHenry (20 minutes south of the Wisconsin border for those that don't know) What are your hours, as I might go to a cubs game or something.

Welcome to the boards!! Definately come through for a smoke when you get the chance!!

Hello:

My name is Kelvin (actually it's Kevin but alot of my old friends call me Kelvin.) I just started smoking cigars about 2 months ago and have surfed through this forum for the same amount of time. I have my own investment firm and find myself on the golf course often. I am now looking at golf as a great excuse for a stick.

My favorites so far are the Punch Rare Corojo Pita & the Baccarat Luchadore.

Great info on this forum.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah - so far they are my high water mark. I have a few others that I am looking forward to trying but I couldn't resist picking up a box of the Punch Rare after I tried my first.

This is a great forum - the info on conditioning my humidor has been invaluable. I am conditioning my second as we speak.

already seasoning your second humidor.... sounds like you will fit right in here :D

Welcome

Welcome Kelvin!! Glad you stopped to make a post!

Thanks - I guess its time for me to start sampling my stash so that I can participate in some of these great discussions. See you all on the boards.

Hello everyone, my name is Scott and I have been looking at the posts for a few weeks now. I live in New Jersey, after moving back from San Diego. I have been smoking cigars for the past three years and I am always looking for something new. My everyday is the CAO Gold, or the Don Tomas corojo. Looking forward to talking to you all.

Welcome Scott:

I just joined a few days ago - you are gonna like it here. Welcome back to Jersey too.

Hello

My name is Mike

I have been smoking for years, but mostly have been smoking cheap cigars due to my income.

I have the funds now to move into a better level of cigars, but dont know much about cigars. I like a mild to mid strength cigar. I like ones that taste pretty good, (this is due to the years of smokin swisher sweets I guess)

I am open to suggestions on cigars to try........To give you an idea of my taste, the newest one I have tried and love is the Baccarat lable. These are great to me. Glad I found this forum, I would like to become a better buyer of good smokes!

Welcome Mike. I like the baccarats also - haven't experienced the bad construction that others have.
