Welcome Bob. Although I am past waiting for a special occasion to enjoy a fine cigar, this sight has introduced me to some very fine people. All I can say is stick around and soak up as much info as you can. This truly is a great place.

Greetings,
Althoughi am somewhat new to this forum, I have been smoking Puro's for about 20 odd yrs. I am 42 yrs young, retired Master Technician, and now currently owner of Custom Automobile Fabrication Business in California. I enjoy several brands of puro's such as Excalibur Royal Sterling 7 1/2 x 54 Fortis, ABAM's which i highly reccomend as well as Cuban Cohiba Esplindido's !! I spend a great deal of time sharring puro's with my lodge brothers and sipping top shelf Cognac and a friendly game of billiards at the lodge. My lodge brothers and i trade and share our collections of puro's with each other on a regular basis. I also spend a lot of time on the internet and my yahoo i.d. is deacon_meyer
please feel free to contact me at your leisure. I purchase my puro's from several differant sites on the internet as well as travel to Mexico to purchase my Cubans. I am cutrrently building a walk-in humidor in my smoke room at my home so my puro's can have a safe and happy home. My name is Keith and i look forward to hearing from you all.

Welcome to the Forum!! Glad to see new faces!!

WOW! This is a great forum. I am happy to have finally logged on. I have recently gotten back into cigars this summer. I am enjoying trying several new cigars. So far I like the fuente brand the most. CAO, Romeo and Juliet, and Montecristo have been some great smokes.
I teach cemistry. I enjoy playing all sports and coach baseball and football. I have a particular interest in table tennis(ping pong but not for leisure)
I am sure that i will continue to learn from all of the experience on here. If you have any advice, let me know.

Welcome Drwood. This is definitely the best place to gain knowledge without an attitude. Everyone here is very friendly and intelligent. RYan

Hey guys my name is Jeff. I'm new to the cigar world. I've only smoked about 5 times in the last 3 years. But the other day I bought a 10$ when I was in Florida. Wow! I enjoyed it alot. The sad part is that I don't remember the name of it. I went into the cigar shop just to look. Then one of the guys started talking to me. I felt weird because I never smoked any thing besides the ones you find at coner stores. So I let him now I was a Rookie but looking to get something really good. I was on vaction so I didn't care if it was $10. But that's what got me hooked. I'm from Massachusetts. Would love some suggestions on cigars for a rookie. I just ordered 4 from cigar.com. One last question do you smoke a cigar like a cigarette? I don't smoke it like a cig. i just puff on it. Is that what your supposed to do? I'm pretty sure your not supposed to inhale. Just want to make sure I'm doing it right.
Thanks

Jeffrow, let me be the first to welcome you. If you are just starting out, I would suggest a mild smoke, like a Cusano 18. And you are smoking it right, as you should not inhale. Just draw in the smoke, and exhale slowly and try to find some certain flavors. Your local smoke shop should be able to help you find some smokes you like. Or if you prefer to learn here, you will find people like Macallan, Cigarsmoka, Castle Crest, Ecplise, Axegod and many, many others that would be more than happy to share their Knowledge. Just be careful with Bloofington, he will steer you towards the white owls, and then you'll be hooked for life!!!! Just playin' Bloof!!!

Hey guys, Ive been lurking around for a month or so and I finally decided to join up. Im fairly new to the world of cigars, but Ive smoked enough to know my likes and dislikes. So far my favorites are Fuentes and CAO Golds. Im looking forward to the CAO Mx2 in the humi, it looks like a real good smoke. Anyways, hello to everyone!
