Enjoy the sauce, Vince. I love it, a great twist on his traditional hot sauce. I sent off a package to our buddy Bloof as well. I hope to see reviews soon.

Just after 09:30 here in 85638, and already 70 degrees. Gonna hit the 90's by mid week. Ya ain't gotta shovel sunshine, it's a beautiful thing.

I have a Don Carlos Belicoso to begin the day. The last of a box I've had for a couple years. I have less than a dozen cigars left here. Now that I've squared away a couple huge financial obligations, I will start to stock up again.

Oh, Vince, sure Brutus did the deed way back when. A tid bit closer to your heart: Mr. Duncan Hines died 50 years ago today.

Ahhhh yes. Beware the Ides of March!!! Indubitably. About to have a French Press of Major Dickason's, which goes by the railroad hopper car full over here at Stop & Shop. Vince in office is better than any of the Demmicans and Republicrats we have now, so give it a shot, old buddy. For those of you out there who are not familiar with the Joe Perry line of sauces, his Boneyard Brew is one of the best all around sauces ever made in the history of this or any parallel universe. It has a generous but not killer amount of heat, with some of the best flavor you've ever had this side of Vince's kitchen. The Colonel just sent me Joe Perry's Mango Peach Tango from his "Rock Your World" line of sauces. The Rock Your World Boneyard Brew will go on anything, and is perfectly balanced between heat and flavor. The Mango Peach Tango sounds like more of a chicken or fish thingy, but what do I know? I'll tell you what I DO know. I DO know that I am a dumb blond, and that I still DON'T know if it's chicken OR fish, ha, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

I also know that if you look up the Joe Perry's Rock Your World line of sauces, it will register as one of the best selling lines on the market, I know that. The Colonel doesn't invest in crap. I'll be having it on a couple omelettes real soon.

if I do run for anything besides my life it will be as an Independent, or maybe a Libertanian , if I could find any to help with the funding, this area is solid D a real through back to the unions & the steel mills we had a few years ago, all the union guys were D , all management was R , so if you got promoted , you had to change your registration, , I used to switch back & forth so often at times i didnt know how I was regestered, , , in the primary elections the party pick who will run in the fall, if you get both partys to put you on the ballot , piece of cake, most of the time there is no one on the R side so the D just slides in , I dont know if I want to realy get in the mud with all the pigs right now , I do like telling them what they are doing wrong, ( like Breathing ) , My chiropracter is the county chairman of the D party , But I dont know what I will do , the dead line is closing in fast, so I might just wait till next spring or if it turns into a Clusterf**k I just might wait till the fall & try to get on the ballot as an independent in the general election, or just run as a write in, But I sure do need to pick a position to run for , , it will be some thing in the township, but I dont want to run for tax collector, BURRRRRR thats a full time job ....... road commisioner might be a little bit better, then I might get the water problem fixed on my street, , for years I never had any problems , I had a gravel drive way, But as soon as I paved it , BINGO, water, & ice buildup , what used to melt & drain in the stone , Now sits on top & make life impossable when it snows or gets cold, its like a skating rink trying to get to the Qtr.Deck at times , so far all I get is hey its not in the budget, you should have never paved the drive way & what problem we dont see anything wrong ! BS well if getting my problem fixed was the only reason to run for some thing , well I dont think thats a good enough reason to run, but some thing needs done on a local level , I want to propose a Manditory open carry for all adults in the township, the drug dealers are getting closer & the addicts are getting brave , more break ins are happening every month , but that will end up getting laughed at .............. the local gun dealers would LOVE it ! , manditory education classes , learn to shoot & how to clean it , a single shot 410 will be the Minium, hand guns optional, , nothing would make me feel safer than open carry at the shop , we provide lockers for your cigars & theres no reason NOT to keep your ammo in the same place !
I bet that would create a lot of drug dealers to MOVE on to a less hostile place !
Enjoy, Vince

Good morning , it is Sunday 22 March 2009 a cool clear day here in da burgh, the eye surgery went well , the laws of murphy were all in place, ( if anything can go wrong , it will ) so dont sneeze when your having your eye worked on hahahaha , the cateract is gone, the new lens is in place but I still have a little blurrryness , lots of eye drops & the right eye gets the same treatment on April 2 , so I will be some what needing a driver for a few days next month also, it was nice having a day off from the shop, last thursday ( when I was at the hospital ) , came home took a nap & everything went well, went to the shop a little Friday evening, & enjoyed a Cigar, the first one since wendsday, some how I never did get one on thursday , dammmm doctors & the asthesia , made me sleepy & I didnt get my cigar fix for the day DAMMMM ! The small things we do get stay healthy hahahaha !
Since I missed 2 days of work at the shop , ( I was there friday but as a customer ) things went well, there were 3 boxes from UPS that I will get to on Monday , I have no idea what they are , I didnt even pull the packing list from the box, so I will get on it Monday Morning, & we got a NEW MOP, Bucket & Ringer , YEA, hey you can take the Boy out of the Navy but you cant take the Navy out of the Boy , ( how do you seperate a new sailor from an old salt ~~~~~~ with a crowbar > hahahaha ) yep I spent a lot of time dancing with the mop, or as we called it swab, hence the nick name swabbie , well it brought back a lot of good memories , & now the floor is as shinny as it was when it was NEW .............. & it will stay that way !

I will be heading out to the kitchen soon , & today I have a small PORK ROAST ............... NO BEEF ! AMEN, this hunk of piggy will get the apple & prune treatment , along with a little bit of hot peppers, a sweet & hot mixture that should make the wife happy, I HOPE !!!!

the grandson has a little Piano thing this afternoon an open house at his new teachers studio , he is playing at 2 pm so I will miss a few afternoon cigars today, , but do not fear my friends I will get my alotment of smokes in today some how, the Qtr.deck was busy last night as my Brother in law stopped out & the sisters went shopping, well it was a great time, a lot of scotch was sipped & lot of cigars were smoked & a LOT OF BS was sent out ! hahahaha , I have no idea what they went shopping for , but I did find a bunny with a bell hanging from the door knob, ( an EASTER TYPE BUNNY , not a playboy type bunny ) ..... some times I wonder about you guys & gals, I find I need to Explain almost everything, I guess thats the draw back of the internet, you dont get the inflection in the voice to "know" what I am talking about, , Bring back the telephone, NO CELL phones, No TEXTING, No instant photos, , Bring back the Fountain Pen, Paper ( Stationary ) & learning to write in script, my calligraphy skills have declined , & this computer is one of the reasons, BUT it enables me to reach a lot more people with MY BS so I guess the trade off is there !
I enjoy the feedback of CONVERSATION ( & you dont have to Spell out anything ) , today the english speaking population has about 5 times as many words to choose from as they did in the time of William Shakespear , granted a lot of the words are tecknolagey based ( again no need to spell if you were speaking instead of typing ) But I digress, so it is back to the Sunday Morning smoke, , & it was a MADURO Hemming way given to me by a Customer last friday Night ................. in his humidor since 99 , I just HAD to try it , so this morning at 7AM I was up to get the Sunday paper, turned on the heat in the Qtr.deck, came in with the paper & made a Pot of Jacu Bird Coffee, yep Bird $hit coffee , some what like the Civet cat $hit coffee from Indonesia , but this is from Brazil & a MUCH better flavor that the civet stuff, , this a FULL body coffee that was a full DARK roast & then just a little more , deep rich color on the Shiney beans, verrrry moist & had to clean up the grinder when it was done , but a GREAT cup of coffee

My car is in the shop for the state inspection, its now 9 years old & starting to cost me money every few months, this trip to the car doctor will be over 600 , last November it was a grand to rebuild the front end, , all the, shocks ,springs ,ball joints, tie rods & alignment with 2 tires , this time its the rear brake drums , Brakes & springs & the Emmisions didnt pass eather, so I hope what ever went wrong with that part is cheep, But I know it will be Big Bucks so why even waiste my time hoping its a $3.00 hose & not a $300.00 sensor , as they say $hit Happens .But I guess 600 twice a year is cheeper than 400 a month for a car payment , & I realy like this car, a 2000 sable, with almost 200K on it , still getting 20 MPG in town going back & forth to work ! cant beat it, its comfortable & has everything I want short of the heated seats ! , it is starting to show its age, as the paint is starting to go & the rust is starting to show up over the back tires , I want to keep it about 5 more years , then I will inhearit the wifes Limited edition Taurus ( IT HAS THE HEATED SEATS ) YAHOOOO !!!
well its time to head to the kitchen & start to beat that pork roast into submission !!! Enjoy, Vince

Busy week, Vince. It's a shame about the whole Playboy/Easter bunny fiasco. Maybe next time.

I enjoyed those two cigars you sent along last week. Thanks again. The "Ten Thumb Maduro" was excellent. Perfect humdidity, nice draw, well rounded flavors.

The weather yesterday was about 86 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I spent about eight hours and 200 miles on the Harley. A tad sore today. It was great getting out for the day.

Very nice weather again today. Tucson has a street festival, I think I'll take the hour or so ride and check it out. Maybe I'll try to hook up and see our old friend Brenda there. I know she's been busy, and has taken hiatus from cigar forums. I hope she rejoins us soon.

I just finished a couple hen fruit, soaked in Mr. Perry's hot sauce. The truck may need gas to get to Tucson. I won't.

While I decide exactly what to do today, I'm on the veranda with an Avo 787 Robusto. I just cut it, I never had one, and have no idea what to expect. This will not be the onliest cigar today. I'm certain of that.

By the way, I'm doing all this while wearing a smart looking, dapper perhaps, King Beaver Cigars hat.

Glad you like them & hope the colors of the hat dont clash with your wardrobe ! Enjoy, Vince

Good morning it is Sunday 5 April 2009, a Sunfilled Cool morning here in da Burgh , looking for a high in the mid 60's today , but it will b70+ in the Qtr.deck later today, I went out to the mail box for the morning paper in my robe & slippers, Not bad out , in fact it felt so good out I thought I might just leave it out all day hahahaha
the Second eye was done this past Thursday, & I cant believe how well I see with out glasses , I have been behind the glasses almost 60 years , now its STRANGE, I feel like some thing is wrong, I feel the wind on the eye, Not crazy about that , cooking greese splattering is scarrrrry , Now I know why there is a big push about safty glasses, I never worried about them before as I had Coke bottle bottoms in front of both eyes, BUT now, Dammmmm so this is HDTV hahahaha
went to the shop a little friday night , got to hang out with the guys , instead of working , it was nice having some one cut & light MY cigar instead of me cutting & lighting EVERYONE 's cigar , it was relaxing, to say the lest, I even drove my self to the shop & home after dark, I was so happy that the on comming headlights didnt have an adverse reaction to the new eyes, no squinting , no halos it was a great time , & getting better every day, BUT I still need readers, so to solve the no glasses I plan on getting full size lenses with plain window glass at the top & the bifocal at the bottom, I dont think I will need the trifocals any more as the computer screen & keyboard are just fine looking over the top of the readers, even looked at the Sunday paper with out the glasses for a short time this morning , Cool beans, I can see the headlines & read some of the captions under the photos sans glasses.... , had this happened just 50 years ago I would be blind as a bat in a few years, But now I am seeing better NOW than I did anytime in my life before, I cant explain how liberating it makes me feel to wake up & see the clock with out Fumbling for the glasses to see what time it is ! .....................................
Looks like the boss is back in chargeof the menu for today, YEP pot roast , I thought I had her switched but she has fallen back on her favorite so , for the umpteenth time , after a 2 week break, dammmmmm I wish I could get her to EXPAND her tastebuds , But this Aug it will be 39 years of wedded bliss ( hahahaha ) & she still wants my pot roast, , I sure wish it was MY>>>>>>>>>>>>>, but thats for a different website hahahaha
Coffeethis morning is Not the Sunday kona , I dont know what happened but I ended up making a pot of African Monkey blend, a few beans of this & that ,all of African origins , just a little on the acidic side , but that pot of kona will be NEXT , along with the Sunday Morning Smoke , a Don Carlos #3 , my taste buds are jumping in antisapation , last nights cigar ride started off witha contraband, partagas serie P #2 , with a nice mug of Home roasted Columbian DECAFE, yep us old farts need the decafe at night so we can sleep, at my age any stimulation is an invation to sleep on the toilet , beats getting up every hour to go pee hahahahahaha
My wife has been verry tolerent of the extra work she has been doing to take care of me , I know she never reads this BS , so If I say a kind word about her I know she will never see it & my reputation for being PIG will still be intact ! She has been realy good thorugh out this past month , SALUTE to you Barb, yea I make fun of her sometimes & get pissed at her at times but 39 years together & we havent killed each other is a feat all in it self ! hahahahaha
the boys are with thier dad this weekend & I didnt get to go to the piano lesson this week as I was at the hospital getting the second eye done at the time of the lesson , so I have nothing to report about the rugrats this week, i did talk to them both on the phone but its hard to get into any trouble on the phone with my wife on this end of the conversation & my daughter on the boys end of the line, so no trouble from me or the rugrats this week, dammmm that means next week we need to Turn it up a NOTCH hahahaha

The Cigar crawl is getting closser to being a sell out AGAIN, check out
http://www.cigarcrawl.com this is going to be #11 , & it just gets better every year what more can I say,we have F U N !

looks like the grass will need to be cut soon, dammmm I hate that , not the cutting part, I dont worry about it all that much, just all the bitching I will get when she is done cutting the dammm grass , pave it over paint it Green ! BUT No that no good, OK lets plant the entire yard in wild flowers , wall to wall , road to the house , NO grass just flowers, NO WAY to many weeds to control, looks like an appartment is the only answer , BUT she isnt ready, for a Sr. high rise , nor an I , most of those places are 1 bedroom, well I like having my Own room , & this place is paid for so it just costs us the property taxes each year to stay here ( and utillitys) But there is all the yard maintance , grass cutting tree trimming, snow removal, painting , staining the deck & all that other BS I want to hire some one to do BUT NO they dont do a job that will be approved by the BOSS , & as long as I can do it my self, why pay smoeone to do it , thats all I ever here from her, well I wish that was all , hey thats what we have grandsons for, let them cut the grass, the kid is 13 for Gods sake, when I was 10 I was shortorder cooking in my grandmothers place , No let the kids be kids, dammmmm one second to want them to grow up start to drive so you dont have to haul them to this & that, But then you figure out they are grown & the little kid is NO MORE & you look in the mirror & instead of that little kid who could barely see the top of his head in the bathroom mirror you see an old man & wonder How you became your father ..............................

Ahaaaaa!!! There he is!!! After a one week absence, Our Man In The South Pacific has returned. Glad to see you Vince, and I know YOU'RE just plain glad you can see at all. Yes, The Man With The HD Eyes, ha, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Beats being blind, that's for sure. Anyway, this weekend is a sad time for Pittsburgh and environs, and I'm sure our old Navy chef knows some of the people whose lives have been ruined by yet another low life gone wild. My prayers and sympathies go out to all the good people of Pittsburgh, that great American city, for its recovery and stability.

By the way Vince, just tell Barb that part of the whole let kids be kids thing is getting them to learn how to mow the lawn and rake the leaves, etc. The iPod stuff and texting all day long, plus sitting in front of the computer, that is NOT being a kid, that's being a slave, and sadly, that's what we're on the way to becoming in this world, not just this nation.

God bless you, Vince. Glad for your eyes, sad for Da Burgh, and it's always great to see you. Welcome back.

Glad to hear about your good health. Vinnie The Eye, Cigar Boss.

Them PSP2's are a great cigar, I had one Thursday night.

My menu is just outta control today, Vince. I'll give you a run for your money. I'm on my second (blue enamel 18 oz) cup of Good To The Last Drop Maxwell House. Brewed strong enough to make a bison play hula hoop. Later, egg salad. Talk about gourmet fare.

I just moved to a new ranch this week, and I don't have the energy to cook. The moment I get a burst of energy, it's oven roast, done the only way I generally cook, in cast iron, with a made from scratch mushroom and onion gravy. Garlic smashed potatos, with cream cheese tossed in to make 'em a tad smooth, and asparagas, peppered, buttered, and done on a mesquite grill.

I may putter around with my new home bar (see the spirits room) or just go to town and play cowboy to relax.

Cigar number one today will be Torano 1916 Robusto. I'll enjoy that on the veranda, as it's almost 10:00 and almost 80 degrees, not a cloud in sight.

I don't shovel sunshine, I don't mow cactus and rock.

Moved again, huh, Colonel? I hope it was because you wanted to, and not because you had to. I'm assuming you're still in Tombstone. And, if you see any bison playing hula hoop, by all mean, please post a picture!!! Spring is slowly setting in here, although winds have been crazy high lately, including yesterday, when it seemed like the whole city was going to blow away. Temperatures have generally been below normal, but we are starting to warm up, albeit ever so slowly.

Oh well, in that case, I'm raisin' a big glass o' somethin' to ya!!! More land, better views, great price, that's a big piece of The American Dream, . . .

still alive in some corners of the land. Glad for you, big time.

Good morning , it is EASTER SUNDAY , April 12, 2009
, & Not only is it Easter, it is Barbs 60th Birthday, dammmm she is getting OLD hahahaha, catching up to me fast hahaha, well no Beef today, No ham or lamb, she wanted a turkey so I got a 12 pounder going in the oven soon, got to pick up her mother at the Nursing home later today , hse has no idea what day it is , so it will be a fun day ! , , so with the bird, & all the stuff you need to go with it , there will be the same questions, asked again & again, , Barbs sister will be out later for cake if she lives through her easter dinner at her inlaws , , , , , they drink just a bit more than I do , & a lot steadier, so the booze will be the fuel that starts that fire , never misses , glad I doint have that problem , YET ! hahaha ,
We had a good week at the shop, got a lot of new faceings on the shelf, & a few nrew customers, yea baby NEW blood, & new wallets to empty hahahaha, one guy came in got a new humidor a box of cigars , & a bundle of yard gars , lighter cutter & a leather pocket carrier, , dammmm he made my day, , dammmm day & a half hahahaha
I go back to the eye doc on tuesday, the eyes are getting better, lots of drops But no glasses , need readers some times but some times I can do with out them, strange ! , but I still reach for them every morning when I get up, dammmm where did the glasses go ? well I can see the clock with out them !
Not much else going here here in da Burgh, I plan on a nice Quiet day , spending time with the wife & her mother, yea just what I want to do with a humidor's full of cigars , a pot full of coffee & a snifter full of single malt , yea I just want to sit back & talk to the hens ............. Now dont get me wrong I love them Both but dammmmm with the altzhimers my mother in law is a real blast to get tanked with , she will ask the same questions over & over again, just like reading the same old BS here in the Sunday Morning smoke BS ! hahahaha , I just went out for the paper & pulled Barbs present from the trunk of my car, , she is a big fan of Dennis Leary & his show rescue me , she hates his stand up as he drops the F bomb every other word, I dont mind it but she tells me her ears are not garbage cans, & that prompts an utterence from me that will be the start of yet an other fight between us , 39 years this August 15th , & still fighting , if that isnt true love I dont know what it could be hahahaha
OH yea I got a complaint ......... Saturday Night live ...... great cast, great show, been watching it since it started, it has its moments of funny , but lately it has been LAME , maybe its time for the cast & crew to hang it up or Go back to the orginal writers or some thing, the Orginal not ready for prime time players were some of the best BS artists I have ever seen & they do have there moments , but the Gilly skit , OK the first time it was OK , but its getting old fast, , I miss the cone heads, & the 2 wild & crazy guys as well as Chico Esqualla , Base ball ben berry berry good to me .......... & others that just rock, SNL is just not as good as it was , time for it to go the way of Guiding light , after 72 years on the radio & TV it is comming to a close, what will become of the Bower family now ????
seams like I am just rambling on here so I better get it up & posted , time for a nice breakfast , bacon & eggs on a grilled english muffin , hot pepper cheese, lettuce, tomato , onion, & a little mayo, , yea that would be nice but It looke like I will be having what ever she wants me to make ............. Enjoy , Vince

Vince getting started early today. Up with the roosters, huh good buddy? Hasn't been a good couple of weeks out there. Three police officers killed by a low life piece of walking garbage, no doubt people Vince knew, or were known by people Vince knew. Three more people on the front lines of keeping some order in society, dead, dead, dead. Nice.

Glad to hear cigar sales are picking up, Vince. I'm praying for you. I will also remember on my mother's 81st birthday, that it's your 39th anniversary. And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY today to Mrs. Vince, six decades old!!! May you and the bride have a wonderful day repeating the answers to the same old questions. I've got an idea. You could give your mother in law a different answer every time, and see if that shakes anything loose, haw, hawwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

And as for Saturday Night Live, I think I stopped watching when Piscopo and Eddie Murphy left. That was truly the last straw. I've always loved Dennis Miller but that wasn't enough to keep me as a viewer. As for Will Ferrell, . . .

wellllllll, everybody have a great day. A big shout out to The Colonel at The Gila Monster Ranch in Tombstone, AZ. God bless you brother, still working on that Joe Perry's, and hoping your back's in better shape than my brain, hee, hee, heee!!!

Have a wonderful day EOTAC!!! God bless America. Bring back Captain Phillips alive and well.

I didnt know any of the officers who were shot by this piece of $hit , he will be a big hero in the prison population with the arian brotherhood , But the rest of the gangs in jail will be gunning for him, his mother & grandmother all should rot in hell after some of the interviews I have seen , the great aunt was the only one who had any remorse , a few of his buddys should get strapped on his lap when they pull the switch on the electric chair, but this scum will live out his life in jail as the wishy washey judges/jurys will not have the BALLS to sentence him to death ! YEA & OJ DIDNT do it , michael jackson isnt a pedofile & phil spector is also inocent , yea right !

Shaping up to be a beautiful day here in the outskirts of Zone Improvement Plan Code 85638. Some eggs, assorted meat, and red eye gravy to begin the day. I have a pot of coffee brewed that is sure to keep me wide awake till at least Tuesday evening.

First cigar shall be a Montecristo 3. More later, as I feel an otherwise lazy day coming on.

Well wishes to Mrs. Vince on the anniversary of her birth.

Mr. O, give Mrs. O the Big O tonight!!

What kind of coffee is going to keep you awake until Tuesday? Inquiring minds want to know. How much per pound? Who sells it, all that stuff.
