Puerto Rico/NYC
Well, well, well, join me indeed. I did join Vince, in a cigar that is, as I lit a Gurhka Masters Select, what appears to possibly be a Robusto No. 4 (6x52), at 1247 hours.
It's interesting to hear of hot, humid weather a little over 400 miles to the West, as we have cloudy, rather raw weather here. I have already been in Puerto Rico for 58 days this year, and will return soon for at least 40 more, so I'll take the raw and windy weather for now, thank you very much. And speaking of Puerto Rico, hey Vince, no information on that brand new cigar from Puerto Rico? Who knew? I certainly didn't. How about a little history on the tobacco, how this happened in an island nation that is basically a crime infested welfare state. I know that entrepreneurship DOES thrive in Puerto Rico, but only in certain families or local pockets.
So, I love to hear those stories. Tell us, who in Puerto Rico is growing tobacco and coming out with a new cigar? And how did YOU get it? Where do I get them when I'm down there? That kind of thing. C'mon, don't make me play dentist here, spill the beans, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Well anyway, I am here with my second Freedom Press of the day, and my very dark and foreboding Gurkha, although it's supposedly a "Mild-Medium," according to CI. The coffee is an unspecific blend of whatever I had left of Oren's Tanzania Peaberry and Peet's Major Dickason's Blend, the latter being on sale at Stop & Shop dirt cheap. One thing about the "from within" plot to kill American business. It IS, for the time being, resulting in some fantastic bargains for those of us who still have SOME work left, and haven't yet been thrown out of our CURRENT abodes. Haagen Dazs has been going real cheap at S&S lately, although neighborhood stores are charging huge sums, and who could blame them?
Well folks, as we all struggle along to survive in "this once great republic," we now have our very own National Treasure back in his place on Sundays, Da Bull from Da Burgh, . . .
Our Man In Freedom. And so precious little freedom left. Have a great day, America!!! I'll see you again if this cigar doesn't kill me first. Strong coffee, very hot (spicy) food, strong whiskey, . . .
cigars? Girly Man. Go figure.
