Hi all!
My sunday started last night at 7:30 after getting off of probably the worst 4 days of my working career. Lots of calls, lots of crappy calls. The last of them ended up with me fighting in the back of my ambulance with a patient who decided to become very violent, and fight me. He ended up restrained to a gurney, but I think I got the worst of it with vomit all over my shirt and face. The patient "woke up" after having a bad seizure and went beszerker on me (very common). I can relate with the guy thought... How would you like to wake up to a 240lb heavily tattooed guy poking you with various shap objects.
So I went home last night, took a shower, opened up a bottle of Jameson whiskey and lit up a El Rico churchhill. My sharks won, but I lost against the whiskey and cigar. About 8 shots into the whiskey I realized that I forgot about a big bike ride I had to get up in the morning for...
Flash forward to the morning... Can you say hang over? Ya, well I went a little overboard with the drinking, and paid for it. Not too bad. I made a big breakfast consisting of an egg white omelet, oatmeal, and a protien shake. Washed it all down with some Aged sumatra and then got my bike gear together. I woke my brother up to go riding (he also had a long night of drinking with his motorcycle club). We didnt get out onto the trails untill about 11am (very late) so we spent the first portion of the ride dodging hikers, and ignoring their screams of anger due to our excessive speed. Once we were 10 miles into the trails we were all alone to blast down some very ruddy steep trails. It was a blast, and perfect weather for riding. However, the last 5 miles was an massive uphill climb back to the car, and well my body was not happy with me because of its abuse the night before. I must also add that I didnt smell too good because I didnt dodge some cowpies as well as I should have, but hell when you are bombing down some ruddy, rock strewn trails, who has time to dodge poo frisbies.
We eventually made it back to the car after 28 miles of strenious riding and headed home. I fired up the perculator and made some more Peet's aged sumatra, and lit up a very nicely aged Anejo. What a fantastic cigar, only the 2nd one I've ever found. I wish I could get ahold of these more often, but they seem more rare then the Opus X. I spent the time winding down from the ride and studying spanish. I have a final exam tomorrow... So ill be hitting the sack early tonight.
Anyways thats it for my sunday, Im gonna treat myself to a few cookies and go to bed.
Vince sorry about your coworker, but as you know sh!t happens, sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. What Im worried about is your health. Do they know what is causing the hypotension? I hope it is nothing to serious. Glad to hear your buddy is going home, that is great news, and I am betting he is very excited. My thoughts are with you!
Cian great story once again, I look forward to every week.
Adios amigos, Buenos Noches!
