A friend of mine had a misunderstanding with a guy on eBay about a pair of speakers that he paid the guy five, six hundred bucks for. My friend lives in the borough of Queens, NYC. The guy's in the Midwest somewhere. I told the guy at the time, wait around, I'll bet you he went down to Katrina-country, something tells me that he's down there. Why else would you suddenly be getting no answer and all this stuff, despite the fact that everything had gone well up to that point? Well, it was either that or he did get ripped off.
Soon after I said that, the guy finally got back to him. He was part of a ministry that had gone down to help out with Katrina aid, and my friend got his speakers with no problem. But the funny part was that he was on the verge of spending whatever it took to go out to the Midwest and knock on this guy's door, even though it would have meant a ton of money in gas or air fare. Just to make the point!!! Actually, coming from NYC and having grown up in certain neighborhoods, that's the way it's done a lot of times. I can dig it. :mrgreen:

Bloof, I can understand that post. But, like I said, I see him come on and off of AIM, and he will not answer me. That right there is throwing the red flag. Who knows, maybe the box will show up, but it still doesn't cover the plain fact that he took money for cigars and never paid up.

However, I don't want to start something that might be uneccessary and, in the process, ruin someones chances at getting in the military. That's something you can't bounce back from. Once the military says "no", then that's it. And it seems to be something that he really wants and needs to do.
I just got a long e-mail from him directed towards a few people, including myself, on this forum. If anyone wants a copy of it, just PM me.

I am going to say this again: If the box does make it here, I am going to apoligize to everyone, including sytax, for the way I have shown my displeasure. Hopefully, for everyones sake, I am wrong. I wish the box were here. I don't want to see anyones chances, including Syntax, of getting into the military ruined. I never thought about that. Once again, hopefully I DO have to apoligize.
