I had a Cusano Corojo torpedo this afternoon. I'll be getting more of these.

RazorKing had one of those last monday nite and he really liked it.
I'll be trying one next week....

just finished a ryj bully
i treated me well
and soon im off to class
two weeks to go, i dunno if im gonna make it :|

getting ready to have a honduran primero while i drive from work to home then back to work. Hate when i forgot something at home. At least it gives me a reason to have a smoke.

Smoked one of my honduran primero toros this morning on the way to work. Third one I've had. Had a hard time getting this one to burn evenly. Have liked everything else about them though.

i have burn problems with them also, but they seem to usually even out toward the end. i also am not very worried about them not burning even since they cost me $1. taste pretty darn good.

4/29

Ashton VSG Robusto

Had some burn problems (tunneling) and it tasted a bit harsh.
I expected more, given the high marks for this smoke, but I'll give it another chance. Tomorrow I'm going to try the famed Diploma.

i had a very similar experience with my first vsg. i wanted to enjoy it really bad too. others since then have been much better.

4/29 edicion de silvio, not bad with some age on it. Padron Anny. Imperial also nice with age. 2 dilomas, dont remember but I am sure they were fantastic. Nothing is better then when I pull the box from the humidor and take in a nice big chicken shit smell from the dipoma box :D

had a padron 1926. it was spectacular. the guy i talked with for a few hours has two full boxes and one opened box of milleniums. Might try to buy a few off him if he is up for it.

4/30

Just finished my first Diploma. Dag yo...good stuff. I might have to get a box of these with my tax return.

Saturday night I tried to smoke a La Aroma de Cuba robusto, but it refused to burn right...I dunno what it is with my cigars, but a lot of them tunnel. Maybe the humidity in my humidor is not right? I dunno...I have it at 70% right now and the temp in my room is usually between 76 and 78 degrees.

Sunday I had a La Gloria Cubana Serie R No. 5 maduro. I really enjoyed this one.

Now I'm off to have my last Cohiba Red Dot robusto. The first two were excellent and I think this one will be too.

Last night by our fire pit I enjoyed a Padron 3000 Maduro with a Courvoisier (sp?) VSOP. Whatever this week brings, I am ready for it now! :D

Today I was in the mood for milder smokes than usual so I fired up a Short Story and a Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino.

today i had a Rocky Patel vintage 1992. this is one of my new favorites.

Wolfdaddy, ive had a few guys tell me the XV is even better than the red dot. Being that i like the red dot a lot also im going to try the xv soon. Its also cheaper.

I will try those soon too...perhaps I'll take a ride down to the smoke shop in the next couple of days. I got my tax return check today, so I'll be buying a box of something soon. Not sure what yet, but we'll see. I also have to get some work done on my car. Stupid mechanical crap breaking. :ek:

Sadly I have not smoked in 2 days. My hands are shaking as I type this.

Scadams, Covossier is great on the rocks with a cigar. And here I thought I was the only one.

FYI on the cohibas. Just a heads up, the XV is very different from the red dot. Red dot is medium to full with a cameroon wrapper, XV sports a 5 year old ecuadorian sumatra wrapper and is fuller bodied. Personally I prefer the XV over the red dot.

i love full bodied cigars so i should be ok.

Today i had a Juan lopez, then smoked a pre-embargo cuban from 1958. I got my greedy little hands on 6 of them, and a box is on its way.

Macallan - my wife bought me the cognac as a Christmas gift because she always heard that cigars and cognac go together like pepsi and pizza. I never got around to trying them together, however. The Covossier is now dedicated to that purpose only.

Kind of a cool night, so I drank it straight. I'll try the ice next time.

Tonight I had the tried and true CAO Brazilia Gol!

I love this cigar. It's one of my mainstays. Excellent construction, smooth an full bodied. This time I was struck by the rich buttery flavor of the smoke form the beginning (that lasted through the entire stick). As I progressed, the deep smoked woody flavors (for alck of a better description) became more and more prominent.

I smoked it down to the nub until I started burning my clumsy fingers. But if I could have maintained a safe grip on it, it probably had a few more minutes left in it.

I have only three of these left in my humidor, and will try and make them stretch until June when I'll be treating myself to a box or two for my birthday.
