What Did You Smoke Today

Acharpe,

That Perdomo Lot 23 was one of my favorite cigars released this year. I cant believe it is only going to be about $5. So many people came out with really expensive stuff, it was nice to see that perdomo took a different route.

Yesterday I had a Consuegra #70 Maduro, Cusano P1 Cafe Robusto, and finished the day with a Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino Sun Grown Churchill #1.

Today I have started with a Cusano MC Cafe Robusto and a Consuegra #70 Maduro.

Opus X #5. I thought to myself, "Self, there is no reason to fear this tiny cigar". Then I lit it and WOW it kicked my butt! Awesome flavor and great smoke. What a blend!

I felt the same way with my first #5.

Acharpe,

Where did you find?

I smoked a Perdomo Lot 23 cigar. I guess it came out relatively recently. It was a pretty decent medium cigar and it was a pretty decent price.

Have you tried calling Cigar.com? I was able to get a couple of the RP Olde World Reserve from them today when I ordered. They have some cigars that are not on the website, and they're really great to work with!

As for the Perdomo Lot 23, I got mine at a local cigar shop, Kingston Tobacco, here in Charleston. They have such a great selection. Someone in NY might know of some that are closer to your location. But I definitely recommend cigar.com.

Thanks for the info.

I tried the web site. I never thought of calling a real person, duh!

Thanks again.

As far as what I smoked today I have nothing.....Still to early and the house is still all wound up with kids needing to go to bed, SOON. Then I shall find the stick of the night.

Maybe a RP Vintage or a IT Cameroon...hmmmm? Choices, choices...

And the winner is :

A Fuente Short Story Natural 4 x 48

It is 11:07PM here and I needed a quicky.

A little on the peppery side in the beggining but seems to melow out nicely.

I started the day with a Conch Republic Hemingway maduro and a cup of Guatemala Antigua. To finish the day I lit a Ghurka Legend mated with a glass of Shiraz. You know, before I found this websight, I smoked Conch Republics almost exclusively. After having visited the factory several years ago I liked to smoke them and remember my time in Key West. But, after having lurked here for a while, I have been expanding my horzons and I'd like to relate the three cigars that have redefined my idea of a great smoke. First the Ghurka Legend. This is a tasty stick, while I will admit that I don't have a refined enough palate to catch all of the nuances of these. I can say that I will be smoking them for sometime. Next I'd like to mention the Cusano paired maduro. I'm not sure if it's just me but, these cigars smell and taste like no other cigars I've had. Even before it's lit you can tell that you are in for something unique. Lastly there is the Rocky Patel 1990. This will be my "go to" cigar. Give me a torpedo and a nice hoppy beer like a Sierra Nevada and leave me alone. I'm busy. I know these are all names that have been beaten to death on this forum but the fact remains that they are spectacular smokes and deserve the attention they are given.

I agree with almost all of your selections. I've never had a Conch Republic, though.

Nice name.

Cerberus is my call sign.

I got the nickname when I was 17. My mother was dating a particular gentleman that I didn't care too much for. Whenever he would come over to our house, I wouldn't let him in.
If by chance he did get in (because my brother or mom answered the door) I would make him so uncomfortable with my presence that he would leave shortly after!

Good times.

Welcome to the forum.

guarding the house.... nice.

...or maybe they gave you that name cos you have three heads.
you know, either one.

Cusano Corojo

Really enjoyed this stick. Spicy, with hints of cedar. Somewhat aromatic. The people around me were actually enjoying me smoking it! I'll be happy to buy a handful of these.

Smoked a Monte Cristo #4 after breakfast this morning, a Carlos Torano 1959 Exodus Robusto after lunch and a Juan Lopez Epicure #1 after dinner. All outstanding smokes especially the Juan Lopez, I got about halfway through that and was asked if I wanted dessert, I found out that JL cigars go excellent with black forest cheesecake, took a bite and savored then took a draw and savored. What great companions they were. 8)

Started the day with an Edge Lite this morning with coffee out on the deck.

Then a Fuente Flor Fina 858 while playing golf this afternoon.

Finished the day back out on the deck with a Camacho SLR Maduro Gigante this evening.

It was a very good day!

Head'in out to the patio with a Gurkha Symphony Robusto.

With 36 straight days above 100F it's no fun smoking on the patio until this time of night!

Got this one in the Cigar of the Month Club. can't wait any longer. :)

CAO brazilia

full body medium flavor.

complex to the point of every puff seemed different. i want a few more of these before i decide how much i acutally like them.

very good overall.

Chamaco maduro robusto
My buddy brought a couple of these out to the golf course. I can't describe the taste. It's unlike anything I've smoked before. Even the prelit aroma is odd. Not bad, just different. Would I smoke these all the time? No, but I would like to keep one in the humi and see how it ages.

Smoked another one of those Nestor Reserve Maduros.. man I love these

they are going too quick!!

This morning I had an El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme from 2003 which provided me with just over an hour of incredible aroma and taste...and of course some relaxation.

Oh My God  I broke out a La Aurora 100 Anos Preferido shape from 2002. One of less than 20 ever made and was gifted to me. This cigar kicked so much ass I dont even know where to begin. Full review on the blog but in short, it was heaven. 94/100

I hope they make this size some day.
