What Did You Smoke Today

Happy hour, yesterday, drank Black and Tans and smoked a CAO Brazilia Ipanema. Nice combo.

Last night at Churchills; PSD4 '06 with one of those moderator guys here at amback. Real good smoke, very nice indeed. Burn was pretty good but did require a couple of retouches. Stated off spicy and nutty, finshed even spicier. Wonderful smoke. The drw was excellent. It could be a top ten smoke.

Yup top ten cigar.

Cusano Corojo 1997 Robusto. Just finished ten minutes ago on my lunch break. Finally got some nice weather in Chicagoland.

I'd say this is my favorite smoke, but then again, I say this about all of them! Definitely a great smoke packed with smooth, spicy flavor.

My frist one and it was great
lots of spice and great construction

I smoked an El Rico Habano Torpedo Maduro tonight. I got it free from the coupon in Cigar Aficionado a few weeks ago. For those of you who exhale the cigar smoke out of your nose, you know how it burned when you first started doing it. The only cigars that still feel that way are fresh Opus X's and now these. But these cigars seem just to be strong for strong's sake. It smacks you in the head from the first couple of puffs. The flavor was not so great, but my head is definitely a little spinny now. It was worth the money (free), but I don't think I'll be making this part of my regular rotation. I'd smoke another cigar tonight, but I don't think I'd taste it.

I know it's sacrilege to speak the following here, BUT:

I feel like Diplomas are made like that. Trying to be strong, just for the sake of strength. And I just can't find any taste in them, no matter how many or type I smoke?

(I'll start checking my PMs for the hate mail now.)

You know BP, I have a great resolution to your concerns re the Diplomas....

Send any you have to ME!!!!!!

(I WILL get something this way!!!)

I PROMISE to send ANY Diplomas I have in any of the humidors to you tomorrow.

And since everyone is in a giving mood... go ahead and send me all your Opus X or even Padron 1926 to keep things even. PM me for my mailing addy, I already have yours.

Had a La Aroma de Cuba tonight. This was the first cigar I've had that has a definite cocoa flavor. I thought you guys were crazy when you referred to this flavor as usually all I can get out of a cigar is that leather taste but, I actually said "wow" out loud when I took my first puff on this guy. Good flavor, I had to babysit the burn through the whole cigar. I think thats because I was in too big a hurry to smoke this one and didn't let it rest long enough. Got a nice mild buzz off it too.

I got the same deal and I thought the ciagr was going to mess me up too. But I didnt even get a little buzz. :(

I havent had a good cigar buzz in a while. Not since I smoked a Flor De Oliva about 2 months ago. Maybe I should smoke that tatuaje craig gave me?

Tonight I had an Indian Tabac Super Fuerte and 2 RP 1990's.

2 smokes that I consider "go to" sticks.

Today I had a Perdomo Reserve Cabinet in the Robusto size. Good cigar with a lot of light gray smoke. Very easy draw that could have been a little tougher pull. Overall though, very good smoke. Went well with my Freedom Press made coffee!!

I had a CAO Brazilia Piranha last night while chatting with a few BOTL on the forum. As always a consistent smoke with loads of cocoa. One of these days I'm going to have to break down and just buy a box. I'm becoming a big fan of Brazilian tobacco.

Welcome back there BP, good to see you again!!

I msoke the rest of my Perdomo Reserve Serie P today, great tastes of toasted marshmellow, but I had trouble keeping it going out in the smoking shed! Great Cigar!
