What Did You Smoke Today

I started the afternoon with a great Choix Supreme, and then switche gears to a La Aurora Prefidos. Both were a great way to spend a Monday afternoon!!

David, I find when this happens it may help to gently pinch the cigar a little around the foot and the cap. This will help to loosen the tobacco and make for a better draw.

Today I smoked a Romeo y Julieta Cedro Deluxe No. 2 that has been sitting for a year now. Good smoke, nice ash, perfect burn. Good cedar taste that gave way to a nice spice at the finish.

Smoked one cigar all week, a Padron 3000...Yummy.

Tonight now that I am home I have a La Gloria Hermoso for now and a Camacho Diploma for after dinner.

Torano Signature toro. Beautiful cigar with great complexity and the usual unparalled Torano construction. Had an uneven burn throughout, but I attribute that to the outside RH and that I didn't keep exposed in the humidor long enough after I took it out of the bag it was in. The wrapper started to unravel with about 3 inches left, but I salvaged it as much as I could. I wanted to nub this cigar, so that kinda sucked.

Thanks Chris i typically do that to the cap but never the foot. I will remember that thanks

Had the 5 Vegas A today for the first time. Nice smoke but it kept ashing randomly on me. I had a few really short ashes just fall off out of nowhere. Enjoying these random 68 degree days while I can.

yesterday i got the chance to smoke a blend that i enjoy but in a different shape. it was the Camacho Havana Figurado
the only place that says what the size and ring are has a mistake.
they claim that it is Length/Ring: 7 x 42/54 but i know for a fact that it is 6 x 54 and i dont think it goes down to a 42. maybe a 48.
this is the only camacho havana that has this topedo-like shape. I checked the website and it doesnt list the size.

that wasnt the point though...

i usually smoke the toro. (6 x 50 ) I found the Figurado to be much stronger for some reason. This blend in the toro size does not usually kick my butt, but this time it did. it still had the great rich spice and caramel tastes to it but way more full bodied. ...almost diploma like.

I just finished a PSD4 that's been in my humi. for a year sitting at 62RH. It had a wonderful prelight aroma and a nice, even burn. The flavors were smooth and balanced. Overall a fantastic smoke.

well, a 3 smoke day for me:

5 Vegas A Artisan at work...(gotta love it!)

And then a Fonseca PC and a Monte #5 at Mahogany in Philly...
(Really gotta love it!)

im smokin my first ever padron 1964, and DAMMIT its sooo good . in my opinion wayyy better than the 26' wow great smoke !!!!

5 Vegas Limitada 06 last night. This has to be one of the best releases last year.

I agree. I just smoked one of these and I think they are improving by the month. Yikes I'm down to the last 2 of this box!

Yesterday I had a c.com red label while working in the garage, then after dinner I had a Cusano 97. Was a good day.

Today I started the day with a CAO gold with my morning coffee, smoked a CAO Brazilia for lunch, and now I am smoking a RP Olde World. A great day for smoking.

Currently celebrating the SAINTS PLAYOFF WIN (!) with a La Aurora 100 Anos corona (Thanks Craig!) and a glass of Macallan 12. Great cigar with some flavors that are new to me in a cigar. Wish I could describe them. Highly recommended cigar! :D

Ahh. Love those Cien Anos Coronas.

I had a Partagas Chico on the way to my sister-in-laws birthday party. Great Partagas flavor in a small little quick package.

A little later I had a RP 1990 PC before going in to work. I was a little harsh and hot with sharp floral hints at first but about a third of the way through, it mellowed out into a very nice leather and nut profile.

Yesterday I took advantage of the unseasonable warm weather and smoked a Camacho Coyolar Puro Perfecto #1 while grilling up some pork chops. WOW, what a strong little stick!! It started out very spicy, mellowed a bit in the middle, and ended just a little less spicier than it started. This one gave me a little bit of a head spin.

i got a new heater for the garage which definitely makes it warmer. I celebrated my newfound warmth with an Opus X Perfecxion #5.

This weekend I had a Quintero maduro. It was a much better experience than the last time I burned one of these.

Had a Sol Cubano Connecticut while taking a stroll in a park. Wasn't bad. I prefer the Sumatra wrapper though. Beautiful day. I'm still not fully understanding the 70 deg weather in the middle of January. Oh well. Virginia= :dunno:
