What Did You Smoke Today

I should have had a smoke last night. Today I have to get another tooth pulled and will not be able to enjoy one again for a couple of weeks. Ugh!

I had a Don Tomas Cameroon Perfecto #1 last night. While it might've tasted alright, it was too much work. Really tight draw and didn't want to stay lit. Had it been longer (the #1's only about 4") I would've been annoyed and given up on it. I need something to open up a tight packed smoke.

Couple of things you can try..... first try rolling the cigar between your fingers at the foot and also at the cap but remember to do so gently as to not damage the stick.... second is to take a paper clip and straighten it and use it as a poker, I do this when needed and seems to work well for me.

Clip it and test draw it. If it is to tight you can just put it back down and reach for something else. Or Some of Web's Ideas will work to

The #1 has a pretty tight taper at the foot, and at first I attributed the draw to that. But once it opened up to the full diameter, it was still a bit tight. Next time though ... thanks both!

Trilogy Cameroon label. Just a cigar that I picked up at the local shop. Very nice smoke and at 5 bucks a stick it was worth it.

c.com red label churchhill. had it for about a month or two. good construction, excellent draw, and a near perfect burn. A little less maduro than I like, but the tones were there.

Try the Corojo version, I find it to be a nice smoke with a nice finish.

Last night I had a RASS as I was trying to stay on live chat (sorry, guys). This cigar has beautiful construction and a lot of subtle flavors. See my review for further information.

2nd this, i havent had on in a while, but i had a corojo churchill and it was very good...fairly one dimensional i thought, but the flavor was quite delicate, smooth and balanced...its been a year since i had one i'd say though

I managed to head out and smoke a great Don Francisco Toro this afternoon. A very nice smoke with lots of flavor, and great burn!!

Acid Kuba Kuba

No matter what public opinion polls may say, as a relative newbie, I had to try Acid and make my own decision. And well ... it could've been a perfect smoke if it hadn't left a pile of sugar on my tongue just from lighting it. Interesting. I haven't totally scrapped Acid from my try list, but I doubt I'll do the Kuba again.

Out of all the Trilogy cigars I have tried I prefer the Maduro and I am not even that big a Maduro fan, go figure. For under $3 a stick you can't go wrong with it.

Tonights smoke is a CAO Italia Piazza. Wow! :eek:mg: This thing is fantastic I tell ya. Really earthy taste in a good way. I haven't smoked one of these in about six months, far too long. Three thumbs up.

i was on a Piazza kick for a while there. I may have to smoke one tomorrow.

I had a Patel Edge Lite torpedo this afternoon. It had the Edge's spice but much more mellow. Very smooth but with just enough kick top get me going. I just wish they came in a smaller vitola.

I just had an Olde World Reserve Corojo toro. Well tried to anyway. The thing had very lttle smoke and what it did have was very thin and wispy. It had a bit of a tight draw and a little complexity. I smoked it for about and inch and a half, really not wanting to give up on it. I reclipped and reclipped and finally ended up setting it down.

I decided to unwrap it and discovered two huge stems right down the middle. This was my first of the corojos and I've got to say I'm not impressed. Now I love all of Rocky's stuff but now both the corojo and the maduro have not been stellar performers for me now. I had the prototype corojo and loved it, so I hope that the cigars I've had were from bum boxes. I have several more, hopefully this time they'll live up to their hype.

Cohiba Red Dot Pequino

Figured I'd try out Cohiba the affordable way with the little pequino size. Nice little smoke, perfect burn, clean simple taste. I'll have to try one of their Black line.
