What Did You Smoke Today

Well, after continuosly listening to Aubry and some of you other guys complain about Padrons :D (just joking), I finally bought a 1964 Ann. Principe (corona extra) and smoked it this afternoon.

I was thoroughly impressed. I first got flavors of a strong but good black coffee. Toward the end I was getting flavors of hot chocolate. And i must say that this cigar had the whitest ash that I have ever seen! White as snow!

I will pick up a few more of these next week and will probably grab a couple of the 1926 as well.

Dustin I have yet to try any of my 64's but I had 26 maduro. Super complex but a touch harsh after light up. I would let the 26 rest for a little. I am doing that with the one I have left. Anyway...

Last night I had the best stix I ever tasted! Ashton VSG Robusto. This cigar has moved me to start a review thread of my own! This is a must try for anyone that enjoys a good full bodied smoke. I am still trying new stix all the time but this one is going to be hard to top.

Had a really good Gurkah Black Puro. It was a really good stick and moves itself into the top 3 of my fav. gurkah products

My good friend, who now lives in Atlanta, came to Charleston for the weekend. So yesterday, we herfed...

Started the day with a Tatuaje Havana VI Exclusivo Zona Del Este.
Then, I had an Indian Tabac 10th Annversary.
Then I had an Opus X xXx mini-belicoso

The above were paired with Glenrothes 1991 scotch that was just excellent.

Then, we had dinner.
Then, I had a San Cristobal Guajiro with Glenmorangie Port Finish.
Then, finished up with a Padron Londres with some Laphroaig. I think the scotches were good, but I wish I would have done the scotches in a different order.

Great day with great friends.

Today I smoked an Ashton VSG Belicoso. This cigar has been resting in my humidor for a while and is very smooth and flavorful.

Sorry I've been slacking. Horrific stomach ailment the past ten days or so.

So, I went mellow tonight. A CAO Sopranos Soldier.

Monday night, I smoked a great La Aurora Corona that was gifted to me. It had just over a year of age on it, and man, what a cigar!!

Thanks to my brother Cloudy for a fine cigar.

Today I'm smoking a Rafael Gonzalez Corona Extra. This cigar has really come into its own with a few months of rest. It's very enjoyable and smooth with little harshness in the last third.

I have what I think is a brandee assed new release from Montecristo, NC. It was sent by a friend, and is a Cabinet Seleccion Churchill.

Thanks, Chuck.

Earlier, while doing some background shots for CNN, I had a Monte 2, and tonight, an Opus X #5.

The autograph signing for my CNN fame will be a tour, starting in April.
