What Did You Smoke Today

I'm a bit late on this one: smoked a Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto (Natural) on Friday while watching the blizzard come down. This was the first one I had in a while, and it was quite tasty.

Just had a C.com Cuban label Robusto here at the shop. I have enjoyed most of the C.com labels that I have tried, especially for the price. Not this one though. Can't put my finger on it, but tasted very sweet. Not my cup o' tea.

Really? That is one of my go to smokes. Yes I agree a little sweet when young, but man get a little age on them and for me, it don't get to much better. I put a 2 yr. old cuban label in the raffle bag. I would like to hear who ever wins do a little revue of that stick.
Let one rest for a while flagman and give it second chance.

Smoked a "The Griffin" Piramides (very good!) this afternoon and then a CAO Gold Maduro that a rep gave me. Very nice of him to pass out the smoke, but it just incresad my feelings on why i dont smoke CAO any more.

Just got back in from smoking a Gurkha Symphony in my garage. I used to love those things!! but they are definitely too mild for me now...but its definitely still a great smoke...very smooth and creamy, great for a new smoker!

I am outside enjoying a wonderfull California night smoking a punch rare corojo magnum
its one of the last few of a box I bought about 2 years ago. Anyways I decided to review on it and compare it to my experience, I do that every so often, well come to find out that after all this time enjoying this beautifully cigar its not. Really a corojo at all.
Every day you learn something new
just thought I'd share

So, on Wednesday, my wife went out of town. My buddy's wife is out of town as well. So we smoked...a lot.

Wednesday, we started at the B&M with a Perdomo Habano Corojo. Jeff, the local Perdomo rep was in town. Great guy. Then, we went to the bowling alley. He was bowling in a league, and I needed dinner and another smoke. Luckily, this bowling alley was not smoke free, so we had San Cristobal Perfectos. I honestly, prefer the lonsdale in this cigar, but the perfecto is a very close second. A little more complexity than the other sizes in this line. After that, we played cards, and had a Pepin Blue Label and then finished with a Famous Smoke Nicaraguan 3000, which is a very underrated cigar, especially with a little bit of age.

Yesterday, after about four hours sleep and five hours of work, I went back to the B&M and we each smoked a very nice Cohiba. It does need more time in the humidor, though, but still very good. After that, we went down to Club Habana and smoked a Padron 1926 No. 9, natural for me and maduro for him. Paired it with some Strathisla 12 year old scotch that I swear had a little bit of aromatic pipe tobacco taste in the finish. We finished the night with a Tatuaje Cojonu 2003. I'm starting to think this may be the best Tatuaje out there. Complex, flavorful, and extremely powerful. I was just about down for the count after that one.

Thankfully, I was able to sleep in.

Tonight I smoked a Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto. I hadn't smoked these in a while and have a couple left. The burn and construction are excellent, and the flavors are good without being too overpowering.

Smoked an Oliva V Belicoso tonight. Very good tasting cigar. I had a few burn issues that required touching up.

Currently smoking an Opus X xXx Mini Belicoso. This box has about a year of age on it, and time has done it well. I picked up a little bit of harshness on the box early on, but that has subsided.

Yesterday, I had a Tatuaje West Coast. Man, that is one of the best cigars I've had in a while. I think I may have enjoyed it even more than the East Coast. I'll be picking up more of these. I compared it to one of the East Coasts I had downstairs. It's supposed to have the same wrapper, but the wrapper on the West Coast was darker.

Thats the Opus I just smoked. How did you get your hands on a whole box?

Right place, right time. It's the only way I knew of that I could actually age some.

Aubrey, you smoke the best cigars brother!!

Tonight (I hope) to fire up the Padilla Miami that was gifted to me. It has had a little rest and it is time to meet the torch!!
