What Did You Smoke Today

Padron 64 anni Last night, and a Gurkha Grand Envoy this afternoon. Don't remember the last time I had so many stix in a row.

96 Upmann #1....First cigar in a long time. It was damn good. when I get home I will post a review with pictures

Pueblo Domimicano First Series and a Olivia Series G perfecto yesterday afternoon. Both good smokes. I think i enjoyed the Olivia slightly better.

today i smoked a CAO Italia piccolo (4 x 38 )

i think this one does better in a larger ring. it wasnt bad but it was hard for me to keep it cool enough. oh well... cant win em all.

I'm taking an Avo 80th Belicoso to the saloon tonight. The temps are supposed to hover around 75° or so. A nice night for a cigar on the saloon patio.

Had a Gurkha Legend Anniversario last night. Nice flavor and burn, not super complex but very enjoyable. Plus the shape makes it interesting.

I had my first Padron 1964 yesterday. I was very pleased with this stick. Very rich with notes of leather, then pepper and some coffee and a wonderful aroma to top it off. Beautiful construction, burn, & draw. I don't know if i would pay B&M price for it, but if i find it for a decent price again I will definitely buy a couple. All in all, very good smoke, but not sure if it is worth that price. I would rather buy 2 Ashton VSG than 1 64.

Tuesday I smoked an Ashton VSG Illusion. I went to the Nub Cigars event on Thursday and smoked a Nub Habano 460, a Nub Cameroon, and a custom-rolled Nub Habano with a pigtail.

I started the evening with a crown and coke while I grilled a couple of ribeyes. After supper, I lit up a Comacho Coyolar that Gordon the Bikeman gifted me last year. Wow! What a wonderful smoke! Very full flavored and full bodied. Thank you, Gordon!

Don Pepin Series JJ. Very good smoke! Loved the strong spice at the start and how it mellowed into a subtle full body stick with great undertones and almost no after taste. I will definitely be smoking this again!

On April 11,1968, President Johnson signed into law The Civil Rights Act, which included the Fair Housing Act. Exactly when are these going to take effect? It's been 40 years.

Earlier, I had a Spanish Galleon Robusto, and later, a Monte 2.

Last night I had a Monte Media Noche Edmundo, it was just delivered but I could not resist. It was a good smoke but I think some rest will really improve it.

Those are great cigars.

Well I just finished a Perdomo Edicion de Silvio Keeney Cameroon. It is a corona sized cigar and a year ago I would not have even tried such a small cigar. But thanks to this site I have come a long way and it is to my benifit. What a great great cigar. It burned razer sharp and had a great flavor. Tons of spice and cedar. I have two more and I hope to review one when I am not drinking a sprit with it so that I can really try to find all of the flavors. I do recommend that you try one of these, I nubbed mine to the point I had to try and not burn my fingers! Highly Recommended!

WTG brother!! It is always great to try a new cigar - especially one that has been gifted to you - and find a new favorite!! :) :)

I managed to get two cigars in today will lounging in the back yard. The first was a Ghurka Expedition - not bad - then a great Jose Piedra!!

Earlier, I was people watching in town, having a Puros Indios corona sized cigar. Well, Tombstone Ambulance pulled up in front of The OK Corral. Turns out, during a show, my buddy Larry was shot in the face with a black powder 45 blank, from a distance of about six inches. Poor bastard may lose an eye. Accidents like this should never happen. Louie, the owner of The OK Corral, is devistated. I hope he fires a few over this.

Tonight, I'll hoist a few libations at The Four Deuces Saloon while hoping for Larry's full recovery. I'll bring a CAO MX2 Toro.

At lunch I had a La Aurora 1495 Cameroon 1994 ~ Very taisty smoke. Lots of complexity and a hint of spice all wrapped into this corona!

Today I did my best to copy someone from the boards with what I had on hand. Well Take a look:
Him: Cigar - Don Carlos #3
Coffee - Kona
Location -Qtr Deck
Day - Sunday

Me: Cigar - Don Carlos #4
Coffee - Kenya AA
Location - Back Patio
Day - Tuesday

Well I had some Kona but the grinder already had the Kenya AA in it. Man what a way to start your day. Wish I could do it more often but a morning alone is rare with the young ones around. Any way it was a good smoke and I see why Vince starts the day with a Don Carlos.
