Well, tonight I took a tumbler (or two, or three) of sour mash bourbon alomg with a Cusano 18 (musta been a churchill, it was a BIG hoss) out onto the patio for a smoke. Wow! what a lovely smoke! That one has to go on my list of preferred's. Smooth, easy draw, lotsa smoke, great flavor. Life is good. I seem to tend to the larger smokes since I'm not what you'd call a little fella. If I were a lot younger, I could play linebacker or offensive guard fairly well. Of course, when I played football, it was before the two-platoon system so we played both offense AND defense. And you can guess how long ago THAT was.
Now that I have my patio remodeled it's a nice place for a smoke. And this time of year it's really pleasant out there. Spring and fall are the best times for the patio. It gets a bit warm in the summer but at least I can't be rained upon in the winter. And, in a couple days, I'll have the last of the re-upholstering done to one of the patio sets.
And, speaking of that, if any of you guys find that you have to be in Northern California for any reason, let me know in advance and maybe we can arrange a visit. I'd love to meet any of you who happen to be in the area. We could throw a few steaks on the grill and I try to keep a fairly well-stocked bar. If you have any special libation that you prefer to sip I'll try to have it on hand.
I try to keep the cooking chores to a minimum so my child-bride isn't saddled with a lot of work and I'm certainly not the cook that Vince seems to be, but we will certainly make do. We're in our 70's so I try to make it easy on her, but with a deli salad, some nice French bread, etc., we could fill our tummies and anjoy a cigar or two. Let me know.
Sorry if my posts get a little wordy but I enjoy hearing from all of you.
Best regards to all of you,
Marty
