What Did You Smoke Today

How was the Delirium Connor? I haven't smoked the one I got yet.

It was nice. Not as good as the 777, IMHO. It started out with hints of cocoa flavors but ended a little bitter. Med-Full range, great construction. I am fighting a bit of a cold, so I am not sure how much I really got out of it, I have a few more in my humi and will smoke another one once I feel a little better.

Not a stinking thing! This miserable weather is putting a cramp in my style!

It's too bad that the weather has such a hand in determining the cigar-smoking habits of a lot of folks. I don't mean to gloat but, having grown up in Detroit and experiencing the winters there, I'm just damned happy to live in Northern California.

I smoked a Punch Pita on my patio yesterday. The weather was a bit dreary but certainly not bad enough to preclude a smoke. The Pita was good, but not great. If someone gave me one I'd accept but I probably wouldn't buy any of them on my own.

The downside for me at this time of year is that I prefer to have my cigar on the patio after dinner with a snifter of Booker's or some other worthwhile sour mash bourbon. This time of year, though, it's dark and unappealing out there after dinner and a mid-afternoon smoke just isn't the right time for the Booker's.

Ah, well. C'est la vie, I guess.

I smoked an Oliva series V Robusto with my dad this afternoon. We had a great time! Best time I have had smoking a cigar in a long time!

RP Fusion robusto. WHOA-HOA!!! Molto potente. Molto buon.

The new CigarCyclopedia says it's a medium-bodied smoke but, from where I stand, a guy only wants to take small puffs at a time on this dude or it might overload ya.

Great flavor, though.

Today it was a Hoyo de Monterrey governor. Good. Not great. Won't make my list of preferred's.

Perderm Fresco. It started out good and ended sitting half smoked in the ash tray.

Today, a Baccarat Luchadore. Exceedingly good. Really easy draw, lotsa rich, flavorful smoke. Nice, even burn. This one makes my list of preferred's.

Tonight I smoked a LFD Double Ligero Chisel. This was the first cigar that really made me light-headed. Very full and flavorful. I love me some LFD's!!!

Well, today's was an AVO XO Notturno. It was a Christmas gift and I was anxious to try it. The CigarCyclopedia rating shows them as "A" - Exceptional. I was completely underwhelmed. Kept waiting for the sweet spot. Never found it. Maybe after a few months in my coolidor......

In any case, I'd like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. And, for those of other faiths, my sincere best wishes of the season to all.

perdomo habano w/ connecticut wrapper received in pif from flagman. very good smoke, not too strong but very nice flavor. first one i have had and might look for some more. also 60 degrees today so a good day

Speaking of Rob I have been away for a little bit due to my wife being ill. I managed a Monte Plat last night that Rob sent me awhile back. It was a nice toasty smoke but the burn was not very good. Oh well better than nothing! Thanks Rob!

Yesterday it was an AVO XO Notturno. Very, very good. Goes on my preferred list, although I may prefer a longer version of it - maybe a Maestoso.

Tonight it was a Romeo y Julieta lancero. Acceptable, not great. This one doesn't make the list.

I had a Perdermo Habana Mad. yesterday. Started out very nice and ended a bit bitter. All in all a good smoke.
