What Did You Smoke Today

The R is fuller bodied vs the Corona Gorda.

I have not smoked anything since saturday. However, I did buy a pack of Ashton Cigarillos that I have been smoking here and there and love them. Despite their size they are 100% tobacco and it has a cameroon wrapper.

The wife likes to smoke a cigarette after we eat so this is the perfect option for me. Plus if I am in a place that does not allow cigars but does allow cigarettes, I bust out one of these because no one can tell the difference.

I only had enough free time for a Cohiba mini today.
I smoked it under my umbrella on the way to class this morning.
Nothing really special but it did wake me up.

I've been sick for the past few days with a sore throat and nasal congestion. I want a cigar!!!

Me too. I have been out with a bad case of the flu. I would rather have a cigar than Tama-flu.

Last niht on my car ride home, Perdomo ESV 1991 Imperio. I was really not at all impressed with this cigar. There was no prelight aroma. It burned good and had very good construction, but it had little to no flavor. It did have a big nicotine bite on the finish and made me a little light headed, but there was not much for the flavor.

Enjoying a nice 5 Vegas Series A Artisan right this minute... Mmmm Anyone following the World Baseball Classic?

I lost the nasal congestion part of my sickness today so I decided to have a REO robusto. I've gone longer without a cigar but I can't begin to tell you all how good it felt to light that up. These are way up on my list right now.

Cabaiguan Robusto Extra last night.

UNBELIEVABLE. I'm a n00b with less than three months of serious study and smoke.

...I think I just had my first real, true cigar.

Had a Sol Cubana Maduro with a glass of Lucca Red today - I REALLY enjoyed that stick! I think I will be picking up more of these for the summer.

Partagas Piramides EL '99(First Release)

VERY VERY YUM!!!

This cigar has come of age. This Habano has lost all of its rambunctious youthful character and become a cigar to savor from first puff till you burn your fingers!!!

This is one of the few cigars I would say is worth any price. If you can get your hands one one DO...and burn your fingers smoking it to the nub!!!

BEST CIGAR IN MY LIFE!!

Well second place anyway. First prize went to a Monte No 2 from 1994 that I smoked in 2003. Now that was good. Definate 100.

But anyway last night I smoked a Cohiba Siglo V that I kid you not would have scored a 96 out of 100 in my book. And I dont hand out ratings like that either. Oily wrapper, flawless burn, unbelievable aroma. Slight note of cocoa over some peaty, earth, and spicy flavors. Simply amazing. Newer box too which surprised me as I did not expect something from a 12 month old cigar.

After this experience I could not top it. So I finished the night with a Monte No 2 and a Monte No 4 ISOM

You made me drool.

After an awesome day cooking Peruvian food I dove into my 500ct to find something sweet. Since it's nice out I'm heading to the beach for a smoke.

Fuento Añejo Shark...t-minus 15 minutes to liftoff
Not sure what I'll smoke this evening, but I'll make sure to put the bands in my wallet so I can see what I smoked tomorrow

Vengeance by Rocky Patel. Couldn't really taste it much on account of my sinuses which got congested again. Kinda sucks--but it did clear them for a short while...
