So if the old posts are gone, does that mean my denunciation of W, my embracing of socialism, and my conversion to a Steelers fan posts are gone too?

Hey guys nice of you to stop by . I really like to go over to C-wise also. You guys should stop be here a little more often. There is a membership here that could learn a lot from your knowledge.
Nice forum. I've heard of it, but never peeped it out before. Will be a nice place to look around while CigarWise is down for a bit. I'm sure I'll stick around afterwards as well, but I sure do miss home.

Nice to see some core members of the HCF here, as well as the new ones, and their fans, like myself, who don't carry HCF numbers, but enjoy their company.
For those who are unfamiliar with AmBack/Cigar.com, you can check the rules if you haven't already done so (STRONGLY suggested), but if you haven't, or don't have the time, just remember a couple of very important points. We run this place like Mayberry, when it comes to language, topics, etc. Management is very mindful of the fact that we have some extremely young members here, and wishes everyone to behave accordingly, as though your five year old daughter were in the room. Also, when quoting from articles, or posting images, etc., please do not post the entire text of anything, but rather follow the AmBack "excerpt and link" policy which is explained in full in several areas on the forums here. There is an ongoing thread started recently called Forum Policy #IV, located in the General Discussion forum, which should assist in explaining the AmBack policy regarding "intellectual property rights."
We expect all rules to be followed, but we also want everyone to feel comfortable and have fun. You can have fun in Mayberry, and you can also have fun in an after hours club, just not always the same kinds of fun.
I trust that will suffice, both for those who have expressed private concerns about this matter, and for those who haven't, but might be experiencing some trepidation over the latest trouble in cigar paradise. As for the question about what HCF stands for, it means Habano Crime Family, a tongue in cheek reference to a group of people who originally formed to sit down and smoke cigars, but whose activities have expanded greatly.
Any core member of the HCF, such as ligero1, etal is free to post the "mission statement" of the HCF here as an additional explanation, because there are interested parties present.
Although we here at AmBack/Cigar.com readily welcome the HCF and their fans, we also look forward to their resurgence and visiting them in their own club, in what will hopefully be the VERY near future, as we now find ourselves in . . .

Oh, and as an aside, since my good friend Michaelsean decided to confess to denouncing Dubya, becoming a Steelers fan and embracing Socialism, it is readily apparent what happened to the server at Cigar Wise.

I have spoken to the owner of CigarWise Forum.
The cause of the current outage is definitely a hacker who corrupted the files.
The hard drive on which the database is stored is being shipped from Florida to California for examination by law enforcement and to see what data can be recovered/restored.
In the meantime a separate server is being secured for the purpose of re-starting the forum. Current time estimate for this to happen is a couple of days. We hope there is a CWise Forum up and running by Friday....
At present we have no basis on which to accuse anyone specific of hacking the Forum, though it is undeniable that there are specific people who had motive, means and opportunity. I would like to believe, however, that this was a random act of vandalism until it is proven otherwise.

BigTom, you and I have smoked and drunk together. I thought we got along very well. I am HCF and proud of it. I believe that your disapprobation of HCF has been unfairly generalized from one or two members from the group as a whole. That's a form of bigotry, in my opinion.

Well then, it looks as though the period of Shiva will be unfortunately extended for yet a while. I certainly hope that the archives can be recovered, and that whoever did this can be hung in the town square at high noon.
Aha, you guys thought you could lose me that easy??? My spies are everywhere!!! Glad to hear C-Wise will be up and running soon, so we can get back to the normal routine.
