I retired in the Ft Hood area but I still call the Burgh home as well. I don't speak any Spanish and get along just fine here in Texas. I guess SD is much closer to Mexico than I am here.

Good Morning , it is Sunday 12/23/12 a cold bright sunny day here in da Burgh, all of 26F , bright blue sky with a few light clouds on the horizion.the shop has me Puzzled this Christmas season, we have spurts of being jammed to the rafters & then Nothing for hours , strange ways are at foot for some cosmic reason , & the Mayianas had it wrong , so now I have a lot of prep work to get ready for Christmas, had they been right this would all be over & my humidor would still be full of Ashton ESG's Padron Anniv., Contraband Monte #2's Contraband Partagas Serie D #4's & a some OLD stuff from before the embargo , But now its all (well some of it ) & I enjoyed every puff , let me tell you , there are a lot of GREAT cigars in the world & I have had my share of the grand stuff , but one evening last week I pulled out a smoke that was given to me when my daughter was born 40 years ago ,was a El Preducto Queen, in the glass tube , cost back then was under a buck, ( still is I think) , but i have had it in a humidor all this time , well I thought it was time & I fired it up,,,,,,,, for what it was , Not bad, Not GREAT mind you but better than some of the crap that is being sold st the gas stations & drug stores all accross the country.
The wife isnt up to par this week, so I will be slacking off in the kitchen today, no hunk O beef , no chicken, just some soup , Cream of Broccolli ,,,,,, I might get a burgher or some thing , if I get arround to getting my self out & about today , a trip to charBuck$ might improve her mood a bit , even if she stays on the couch & I get it for her to go , ,
I have a pot of Christmas blend on the brew, a light "sprinkle" of Rum, Brandy ,& Irish whisky infused coffee beans , a quick shaving of Nutmeg a Dollop of fresh Butter just made last night at the Christmas Village shops ........ Looks like the liver is in for a lot of work today , dammmm its Good tasting. ,,,,, not even noon & I am all ready getting a Christmas Glow ,,,,,,, Burrrr the wife just told me it is 26F inside the QtrDeck , I didnt even know that she went out , dammm I better pay attention to what she is talking about some day hahahaha , since she told me she wasnt feeling all that well I thought she would be on the couch reading the paper, But she decided to go out & sweep the decks & walks ,, as for me , if I didnt feel well I woulnt be out sweeping , hey even if I did feel well I wouldnt be out sweeping hahaha .
I havent had to much time with the grandsons this past week, both are Busy with there own lives ,social butterflys they are , Busy kids make for busy adults & a good work ethic, It was tuff getting rid of it as i was busy working & learning the Kitchen at a young age , i guess the fact that I had passed on my training to countless students, well you could count them but I never did , so I have no records of them & I am sure some thought I was a bully & some thought I was a Gem, what ever they thought of me I know they Learned HOW, WHAT When & Why you did things in the kitchen or the Gally ( wow a natucial term like Bulkhead, hatchway & port or starboard) , I was a Poor excuse of a salior, to me it was a Floor, a door a wall , left & right,i did it just to tick off the chief, only because i could d it with a smile & a laugh , some of them didnt get the humor , so i was a little more strict with my self & said what should have been said & just thought about the words I wanted to say, ,,,, I was very diplomatic, I was able to tell you to go to Hell in a way that you were looking forward to the trip.
, Since the end of the world didnt come on the 21st I have a tuff choice today, what to smoke, Not that I dnt have any great smokes left as I do , but after some of the GREAT stuff I have been firing up it will be tuff to go back to the "every day" Don Carlos #3 ,,,, I say that now but as soon as I fire it up all will be right with the world hahahahaha yea right , Enjoy, Vince

I was in that store back in May. I send my Dad there every now and then to pick up some for me. He's a pipe smoker but does cigars on occasion. He lives in Ambridge still in the house I grew up in. I love the house cigar that y'all sell!¡! Pretty nice shop as well.

Thanks I make the house cigars my self, the 60 ring maduro & the 50 ring toro are all Nicarguan,J do a few barber pole cigars but dammm they are tuff to get right , I have a ton of pipe tobacco & will custom blend what ever you want, tell your Dad to stop in & let me know who he is & I will make sure he gets a few to send you . God morning it is Sunday 30th of dec.2012 a cold snow covered day here in da Burgh, we got between 6 & 8 inches of snow Saturday most of it in the morning but a nice top coat came last evening, after all the walk ways were cleaned & roads plowed & salted, ,,, its winter in Pittsburgh, thats the way it is .... had I been born in Hawaii & grew up there I might think different about the snow,
it help Santa get from Roof top to roof top when there is Snow, hahaha b
Santa was good to me this year, cigars & scotch, just what I needed ,
the shop had a few good days but not as good as last year.....
the grandsons were full of the joy of Christmas C@$h , at 15 & 17 the toy years are behind us now, I remember Filling the back seat with toys to take to them , No room mat all for any one to sit in the back, now it all fits in my shirt pocket , nothing to wrap , nothing to carry in maultable trips to the car
I made a ham for Christmas this year , & we will be eating ham again today ,I will be working Monday but closed Tuesday , there will be pork & kraut with kolbossi for new years day , I might cook up some black eyed peas to help get rid of the ham bone if it gets eaten by then, (I dont think it will , way to much ham , )
I will be heading to the Qtr.deck shortly, I have a few Cigars picked out for today, starting off with a Graycliff 80th anniv. then a Perdomo maduro from my buddy Bob , an 18 YO Macallen to sip with the pot of Jamician Blue mountain coffee I picked up yeasterday at the local coffee roaster ,after that I have no idea what I will be smoking , maybe a Datona corona , or a Liga #9 , so many to choose from so little time
sure am glad the Mayans were wrong & we are all still here , I didnt get to the real great ones in the humidor, I guess I have a few years to get to them before the next end of the world BS hits the news

Good morning , it is Sunday the 6th of Jan.2013 a cold snow covered day here in da Burgh, it is in the low 30's & the sky is GRAY , the trees are bare & there are a few Birds who didnt go south out there looking for food, chirping & singing , save your energy little gys , its a long winter here in da Burgh , & a longer winter with out playoff football & the NHL lock out , the shop has been slow with out a lot of sports fans jamming in for the games that should be on TV but are not.
New years has not been favorable to the shop, the weather , the @$$holes in DC not getting the work of the people finished on time & the over all BS of the climbing debt of the country has had a few of the customers wondering what to do , & they are converting there cash into Gold & not buying cigars , back in the early 1920's an ounce of gold would buy a man a new suit, so would a 20 dollar bill, today that ounce of gold will still buy you a new suit but the 20 dollar bill will not even buy you a tie to ware with that suit, so the gold has held its value & the paper money isnt worth the paper it is printed on ..... maybe I should start a conversion table to exchange Gold for cigars a the shop hahahaha
I have been a bit under the weather myself, havent missed any work but havent had many cigars this week, , last night I did have a Zino Low rider & it was the first one all week that I could taste, the flu bug hit me a good left hook,my eyes & nose have been Giving me fits all week, sneezing & hacking up a few hair balls like the cat down the road, eyes watering & burning , it just didnt make sence to add the cigar smoke to the mix & not enjoy it anyhow way shape or form. , right now My breathing is fine but the eyes are still watering & burning , the chest is clear & the flem has cleared, but I dont think I will be enjoying a cigar anytime soon, BUT I might be enjoying a weeeeee dram later today , infact I am looking forward to it ......
Breakfast this morning was a light one , Yougert & a slice of toast , a pot of Mountain Magic coffee from the local roaster a mix of all hight altitude coffees from the Americias , what he calls high altitude coffees I have no idea but it is a wonderfull med/dark roast mix & a nice flavor light acid & a real full aroma this would go well with a Don Carlos #3 if I was going to smoke one this morning But I am NOT , not yet anyway .
I will be removing the ham from the bone & slicing some potatos for Ham & escalloped potatos for later today, there is so much left over food in the fridge I have no place to put stuff, so it will get used up before it gets tossed , the freezer is full & I want to make soup, but there is no room so the turkey bones will stay frozen an other week.
Not much going on with the family or the shop, I havent missed any work but the shop has been S L O W , Friday did pick up a bit bt over all sales are down again this past year ,,,, week need more cigar smokers to walk in the place ,I am doing my best to get the guys to bring in a friend & share the enjoyment, the life style & the BS that transpieres at the shop , dammm where did that word come from Transpieres, , who knows if its even close to being spelled correctly , 99 to 1 it is wrong hahahaha , BUT I just dont care to look it up or ask the wife to spell it for me , ( she was an English Major) , & I am a USA NAVY VET . hahahaha , time for me to head for the shower & steam my sinus pressure away ..... Good morning it is Sunday Jan.13.2013 an unseason like morning here is da Burgh 55F with a warm rain comming down ,,, alll the snow we had is GONE, & the snowshovel riding contest had to be scrapped as the hill had no snow! (an annual event held at Econemy Park , it made a show of ABC's Wide world of sports WAY BACK in the 1960's ,since then it has been "ALL DOWNHILL" hahaha
The Flu bug had a big bite here, I am feeling better , but the wife is worse ,,, I went a few days WITHOUT a cigar, but I am making up for it now,,,,, she is so sick I am not making a hunk O beef for her today , Soup, , Campbells , Chicken noodle , right out of the can, she said why make it from scratch since she cant taste anything . ,,, So I have the day off from kitchen duty,, breakfast not included , she wanted eggs & bacon this morning & she said there was no taste, even the apple smoked thick cut bacon was like eating cardboard, , ,,, dammmm I could have given her cardboard , never thought of that ! hahaha
I went to a Jaycees awards dinner last night , got to see a few old friends & sip a little scotch , but the hall was NON smoking, , BUT it was so nice outside last night , I didnt mind it at all, Jan. In da burgh, 10 PM still above 50F , with a sport coat & long sleave shirt, a few scotches & Dammm I was Warm outside & enjoyed the Don Carlos President after dinner, I am not much of a dancer so the evening entertainment didnt get my blood pumping, way past that watching people dance or attempt to dance , since the Beer & booze were flowing there were a lot of "excited" people on the dance floor, a lot of SHORT skirts & jiggley tops , BUT the lighte were low & I was not in the mood to strain my eyes hahahaha
the shop has been SLOW since the turn of the new year, just as the sales were starting to pick up the Credit card reader stopped working ,,,,, called the 24 hour hot line & the lady I was talking to or trying to talk to , was not able to get it running , she had a sore throat, I had a hard time telling me what to do, It was noisy in the shop, & I had trouble hearing her , , plus the only phone line we have is on a splitter with the CC machine, so I had to hang up to try what I think she was telling me to do, ,,,,,, it was not a good night at all. , I will try to get it up & running Monday, when the first team is at work & not the new weekend worriers who were watching football on TV in the background & paying more attention to that than helping me get my problem Fixed, ,,, maybe its time to change providers? ,,, I am thinking of replceing the entire system with an ATM in the shop & only taking CASH for the cigars, you put your card in the ATM Pay the Prossing fee & get out CASH to pay for the cigars, that way I dont pay a % of the sale to have it prossessed , & can charge a small fee on the ATM & make money instead of paying out to have it....... , I can have the machine installed & all I need is an electrict outlet & its own phone line , & I can fill the machine with my own cash, never have to pay for the privlage of accepting a Visa Or master card again, , you want to buy on credit or a debet card, you pay the fee not me,,, I dropped American express & discover , there fees were killing me, that cash back bonus crap from cards came out of the total of the sale, not out of the profit of the card company , out of MY sale, cheep b@$t@rd$ ,,,,,,
since I have the day off from Kitchen dutys , I am going to get comfortable with a cigar , coffee 7 some scotch , get Pandora on the computer in the Qtr.Deck & listen to Dave Brubeck all afternoon.... Enjoy, Vince

Good morning it is Sunday the 20th day of Jan.2013 a cold clear morning here in da Burgh , yesterday it was 50F today the high is 35 F , & the temp will be DROPPING all day , I just came in from the Qtr.Deck, I had to turn on the heat, , & it was 42F inside, , glad I went out whgen I did , we have winds from the NW with gusting over 30MPH, a lot of downed power lines in the area, , so far so good here, the Hunk of beef is in the oven , the coffee is on & the selection of cigars will be all new today, I was at Alleghney Smoke works in Blawnox Pa , yesterday , for the NOG & Grog , after the holidays winter bash, ( just an excuse to get together , smoke cigars & drink ) ,so I picked up a few cigars I dont carry in my shop, Yet. a few bait fish & papa Fritas, some of the ASW house brands,a few of AJ Fernadaz angostora leaf,& some stuff I had only seen in magazines like the new one from JC NEWMAN, , dont rember the name of it , & am to lazy to go look at the band to see what it is, all I remember it was Blue & gold ( I think , could be wrong )
My wife just brought me a fresh cup of coffee, , dammmm its got way to much water & not enough coffee, , I think my piss is stronger than this cup of coffee, but I will power through it, make the next pot a lot stronger, , maybe I should add a few shots of expresso to this one, , it will need 4 of 5 anyhow !!!!! , after 42 years you would think she knows not to skimp on the coffee when you fill the pot !,
Breakfast this moring was a Crape with a banana & almond butter.. a lot of work for a few seconds on the plate ,,, 25 minutes to prep , 5 to eat....... &15 minutes to clean up the mess..... dammmm I am glad I am retired to enjoy the life I worked so hard to achive ,,,,,, but I still enjoy cooking, , I guess if I was a mail man I would take a walk on my day off.
the Grandsons are both fine, the young one turned 15 & is looking to find a part time job as a website designer or some sort of computer hacker, , who knows what he is talking about , all that computer jargon, I am lucky to get my e mail & post the BS I have been doing all these years & when you get down to it , most of it is BS , But I enjoy posting , Lord knows why , & I have no idea if anyone is ready this BS , But I just post it anyway, there was a time when people commented & added there own BS & it was a lot of fun , but over the years people have come & gone & it looks like I am the last of the old farts , on this thread, I am sure there are guys out there that have been at this longer than I have been, but I started this Sunday morning smoke on Cigar afficanado years ago & was posting it on a few cigar sites , I ended up here in 2004 & have been here since, dont know why , it just happened ., I think it started out with American Back yard , & /or battle rifles,,,, ,,, getting old & dont remember all the details, not that I am forgetfull, just my brain is so full of BS its hard to find the right file to pull it out !
The wife is still got the bug, hacking & sneezing, & pissing her self, dammm she told me not to say that ! hahaha
Ahhh this coffee is much better now ,4 shots of expresso, I might go for a short walk & sip this stuff with a Don Carlos #3 , or I could just head out to the Qtr.deck, fire up that DC#3 & listen to Dave Brubeck, on Pandora ,,,, that makes more sence to my tied feet !

My wife just brought me a fresh cup of coffee, , dammmm its got way to much water & not enough coffee, , I think my piss is stronger than this cup of coffee, but I will power through it, make the next pot a lot stronger, , maybe I should add a few shots of expresso to this one, , it will need 4 of 5 anyhow !!!!! , after 42 years you would think she knows not to skimp on the coffee when you fill the pot !,
Breakfast this moring was a Crape with a banana & almond butter.. a lot of work for a few seconds on the plate ,,, 25 minutes to prep , 5 to eat....... &15 minutes to clean up the mess..... dammmm I am glad I am retired to enjoy the life I worked so hard to achive ,,,,,, but I still enjoy cooking, , I guess if I was a mail man I would take a walk on my day off.
the Grandsons are both fine, the young one turned 15 & is looking to find a part time job as a website designer or some sort of computer hacker, , who knows what he is talking about , all that computer jargon, I am lucky to get my e mail & post the BS I have been doing all these years & when you get down to it , most of it is BS , But I enjoy posting , Lord knows why , & I have no idea if anyone is ready this BS , But I just post it anyway, there was a time when people commented & added there own BS & it was a lot of fun , but over the years people have come & gone & it looks like I am the last of the old farts , on this thread, I am sure there are guys out there that have been at this longer than I have been, but I started this Sunday morning smoke on Cigar afficanado years ago & was posting it on a few cigar sites , I ended up here in 2004 & have been here since, dont know why , it just happened ., I think it started out with American Back yard , & /or battle rifles,,,, ,,, getting old & dont remember all the details, not that I am forgetfull, just my brain is so full of BS its hard to find the right file to pull it out !
The wife is still got the bug, hacking & sneezing, & pissing her self, dammm she told me not to say that ! hahaha
Ahhh this coffee is much better now ,4 shots of expresso, I might go for a short walk & sip this stuff with a Don Carlos #3 , or I could just head out to the Qtr.deck, fire up that DC#3 & listen to Dave Brubeck, on Pandora ,,,, that makes more sence to my tied feet !
The shop was slow & to top it all off the credit card reader quit working ! it took a few days to get a new machine & now we are up & running

My dad stopped by the store last week and the person working told him that you're only there on Tuesdays so he'll try to stop in on a Tuesday. Hopefully he'll find a nice tobacco blend that he likes so he don't have to go all the way to Robinson.

Good morning it is Sundaythe 27th of Jan 2013 a COLD clear day here in da Burgh National weather service gives us a report of 11F , partly cloudy & no wind , , there is a few inches of snow on the ground & the sun is shining & the reflection is BRIGHT ,the heat is on in the Qtr.Deck & I plan on spending the afternoon with my buddy Robbie Burns & a few poems to celebrate his 200Plus birthday, , sure I am going to read a poem , & wash it all down with a nice Islay Whisky , coffee & a few cigars ,& speaking of Coffee, I had to toss out my coffee mug that I have had forever, a black mug from CuestaRey, with a snap to lid, I have had since I got it free with a cigar purchase , so long ago I dont remember where I got it , well it has been attached to my hand ever since, well it got bumped & hit the floor, , & will not hold anything with out it leaking from the crack on the bottom, so I had to RETIRE it ,,, I have looked all over the place to find some thing close , but I keep comming up short , , cant find what I want , & cant find anyone who has what I had. so I went to a few coffee shops, & donut shops, & picked up a few different travel mugs, DONT LIKE ANY OF THEM , I miss my old cup, ,,, so I ended up with a big coffee cup with a snap on lid, all plastic, so it isnt well insulated , & I am OK with that, , but it is to tall to fit in my Keurig Pot, so I make it in a mug that fits & dump it in the new travel mug... Pain in the @$$ but manageable ....
Breakfast this morning was a Cheese stuffed Crape with sour cream & lime curd a pot of Indian Monsoon coffee,,,,, it hit the spot & the Kona is in the press pot now, I have a Casa Fuente toro that was given to me by a Buddy who just got back from Vegas ,with a 16 YO lagavulin I will ENJOY myself some time this afternoon , & about 4 PM I will be enjoyiing a bacon wrapped sirloin & a baked potato ,,, I might even have a Veggie of some sort , & if I get off my lazy Behind I might make a little Bread , I will have the oven on for the potatos, so why heat up that big oven for 2 spuds, ,,, Home made bread, or maybe a few rolls , that way I dont dirty a bread pan, I can put the rolls & the potatos on the same tray,,, less clean up !
we have been in the deep freeze & school was delayed & let out early all week, the weather is just not letting much get done,& I think we are raising a bunch of wimps, did we get school called off when it got cold, sure we missed when it snowed & made the roads unpassable, but we still all went out to sled ride, ,,, now the kids sit in front of the computer screen & play angry birds of some other BS .... GO OUT & PLAY ,, its Fun, I still like to make a snow fort & have a snowball fight ,,, ,,,,, my bones complain & my joints lock & I loose feeling in my fingers, BUT I still enjoy the time outside even with out a cigar hahahaha, as long as I am NOT cleaning a drive way.....
Last winter I used 1 50 pound bag of salt all winter at the shop, keeping the walk clean ,,, all winter 1 Bag, so far this year & am on my second & its getting LOW ,,,, looks mlike its going to be a LONG season, sales are slow as no one is out, a few regulars show up every day but noy enough to put sales in the black, with the added heat needed & longer hours to help sales , I am working more but making a lot less, BUT it gets me out of the house & out from under the watchful eye of the wife
so I can practice my passion for chemical engenering, how to turn a fine bottle of Single malt scotch into Urine ,,, & dammmm I am good at it ! ,,, I can also do it with Coffee ,,,, dammmm I am Good hahaha
Enough BS , I need to get dressed, & start the day of relaxation, , check out the heat situation in the Qtr.Deck, get the Kona poured & figure out what to smoke after the casa fuente...... a little Brubeck on the CD player & maybe a short nap before supper.

Good morning it is Sunday 3 Feb.2013 the day after the groundhog di not see his shadow & predicted an early spring ,,, BS, , it is snowning , windy & COLD, single digets at night below zero with the wind chill factor, , & with the freeze & thaw cycles the door to the Qtr.Deck is jammed by the ramp going in , but I was able to move the ramp & got the heat on , it was 28F inside & 22F outside @ 10AM , w ith a light snow fall from the NW,,, our weather should be comming from the SW & bring that warm Gulf air up north , but we are getting a 15 MPHwind from the frozen tundra of Canada blowing across the great lakes picking up more snow & it SUCKS big time & speaking of Canada , since we cant fix our boarder with Mexico to keep out the flood of people , lets just give up & anex Mexico, & work on keeping the Canadian GEESE in Canada, damm Goose $hit is all over the place, ,you dont need a gun to shoot them , a snow shovel is all that is needed to bash them in the head ,& bury them in the garden to fertilize the veggies & herbs, but the ground is frozen so I guess they could be rendered down for the fat & dammmm they have a ton of it ,

the roast is in the oven , the boss is on the couch reading the Sunday Paper,t Music is on & all is going to plan for a Sunday Smoke ,,,,, so far , as soon as the Qtr.Deck is warm, I will be firing up a MADURO Untold story & sipping a bit of coffee , a 3 country blend of all American coffees, all medium roast , Columbian, Costra Rica , & Nicaugran ,the boss likes it but it is to light for me , but if I make it in the expresso pot its FINE , , I just need that extra punch to go with a cigar , she wants a quart of cream added to a pot of mild coffee, ,,, I dont want anything in my coffeee ,,,, welll maybe a few drams of of whisky,,,, a donut dunked is OK when the donut is a few days old ! , & as long as there is no powered sugar on it .
We picked up a new car this week, (new to us ) it is a 2007 Mercury Milan, I traded in my 2002 Mercury Sable , I had 53389 miles on it & the newer car has 53679 , so I moved up 5 years & went back 300 miles, , this is the first "smaller " car we have had in years , after 2 Taurus & 2 Sables we ( she ) thought we needed to get a smaller car, ,,,, she liked this one, & we made a deal, she has no idea that the milan & the sable have the same size motor , since I was driving the Sable & it got traded in I thought she would like the newer car & let me have her 2005 Ford 500 ( again the same size motor) , , the 500 is the New Taurus , & a lot bigger than the older body style, a lot taller & a bit wider , but since it has snowed every day since we picked up the new car she wants to drive both of them to see witch one she wants , untill then I cant smoke in either car.....Dammmmmm
The shop was S L O W all week but Friday was a butt kicker , the social securiy checks hit the bank accounts & people were spending there not so hard earned government SSI checks, dammmm I worked all my life & still work today , sure I get Social security, BUT I payed into it since I was 16 & went on the books as a real employee, not getting cash at the end of the week, looking back on what I put in , I will never get that much back unless I like to be 105.7 years old, ,,, I just dont see that happening..... , & if I live that long I might find out who shot JFK, the facts were sealed & will be officially opened 75 years after his shooting.......by then all to co conspeaters will all be dead.
The Grandson was in a play at school, well done by the entire cast, a story about a young boy who becomes a writer but has such a troubled childhood it haunts him all the way to his Pulitzer prize & to the Straightjacket , a Moving story, great music & dancing ,, deep meaning & lts of soul searching ,,,, More than I thought of for a high school play , Different for sure.....

God morning , it is Sunday10th of Feb.2013 a cold sunny day here in da Burgh , with a high of 47F predicted today, & yo can see the grass popping thru the cover of snow, ,,, Not near as much as you guys in New England ,,, we dodged a bullet here by you guys got both barrels right in the gut.....
I picked up a 2007 Mercury Milan last week, traded my 2002 Sable , kept the wifes 2005 Ford 500 & she got the newer 2007, all went well untill I took my grandson to his piano lesson, & it started to snow, we had a little trouble getting up the hill on the snow, but I got it in the drive way after spinning the tires a little ,,,, put it in park & it drifted backward back down the dive way, would not go forward or backward under power, the transmission was stuck in Nutural, ,,, no drive, no low , no reverse,,,,, got it towed to the shop, he cant find out why, & it starts to work on its own, ,,, so I pick it up & with about 25 miles from the shop, it slips into nutural again & I am stuck on the highway, lucky it was on a hill & nI was able to drift back & get off the road, called a tow truck again , & here I sit back to one car & a car that needs to go back to the dealership & have the computer rebooted or replaced, ,,,, Son Of A Bitch, , I just spent more than I should have with the Milan & dont have a few grand with out getting into my cigar & scotch fund.... DMMMMM
I have chicken & rice on todays menu , need a break from the hunk O beef,
right now I am getting the coffee on for the morning don carlos , today it is a #4 , dont know why , just looked like a way to start the day, maybe a pot of Kona & a few drams of scotch, a few cigars & I will feel better about the broken car.
the shop has been S L O W all week, the weather is keeping people in & no one is on the street, at all, the entire down town area is EMPTY, no foot traffic, just a few cars & trucks driving through, no one stopping!& with the broken car & the slow sales I have no idea when I will be able to get it fixed with out tapping the cigar fund..... DAMMMMM looks like I might have to switch to a few Cheeper cigars & pass on the opus, padron anniv & the ISOM's for a few weeks hahahahaha yea like that will happen, the car will sit till it gets fixed thats all, I will not go back to smoking machine made cut filler dog rockets, sure a Marsh Wheeling here & there is OK , it reminds me of when thats all I could afford & all I could get , not a Bad smoke , not a great smoke but I never will go back to a swisher sweet, or a flavored phillies blunt,,,,, looks like the pipe will be getting fired up & the shop will take on a new aroma , old english tobaccos & balkin tobaccos & some from the far east,,, got to keep the taste buds guessing !

My Sunday morning smoke... Brickhouse Robusto. Creamy with nice cedar and leather tones. I hadn't smoked one in a while.
Not to rub it in East coasters, but I was able to sit outside in shorts and a light sweatshirt, have a smoke, while my grand-daughters rode their quads.
Okay, okay, I'm rubbing it in just a little....
