Philly is about 350 miles from here, it is a different world over there , here in Western Pa we have a refined way to welcome people to the area , who dont shoot them till they have had a few beers & a sandwich with the frys & cole slaw right on the sandwich, yep thats Pittsburgh ! enjoy, Vince

How are ya making out with the no smoking my friend?
I gotta move about 220 belgian block this week,(bought it for 200bucks! )but maybe I'll see ya friday eve....
 
so far so good, I havent hit anyone YET hahaha , I am finding it harder in the car, I keep reaching to the ashtry to pick up my stogie , so I keep the coffee going, & when I am not driving the scotch flowing, , just a weee dram at a time , 17 days till the surgery, then as soon as I have healed , BACK TO THE CIGARS, looking like the second week in Jan. , thats a way to get a few weeks age on my Christmas Cigars , hahahaha , BUT what should I smoke ?? should I jump right in witrh a spicy Cuban or slide in with a Mild Macanudo , I am open for suggestions !

I think what happened in Pittsburgh last night should keep you from hitting anyone for a while. That was SOME game, typical smashmouth football. Congratulations to Westminster Abbey The Tower Of Big Ben
 
It was actually funny listening to my wife watch the game. The sudden change from "Whoo hoo!" to "What the #^$* is wrong with you???" was quite amusing...

Glad it ended well, or the rest of the night would have been bad too

some things happen right under my nose & I dont see them, what you think is news from the Burgh I might think it is just a local BS story, so I have no idea what the H3LL your talking about, , there were a few shootings , nothing new there , thats weekly , , the weather sucks, but again nothing new , it like that all the time , just wait a few minutes , the weather will change , you never know what you will get here , it is the only place i have ever lived when you need the furnace at night & the A/C during the day . MFG. Plants are closing due to the high cost of natural gas , the trees are in full color fall folage & soon I will be raking them up, dammmm trees ! , So What did happen in Da burgh ??

Steelers/Ravens game - Steelers won, but the last few minutes were very tense

It's sad for me to say, but football (college or pro) holds no magic for me any longer. I try to get into the game and enjoy it like I used to, but I can't stay interested. Even bowl games.... Am I getting old?
 
There was a time when I was a big sports fan, I loved baseball, football, basketball,hockey, you name it , I was playing it or watching it, ( all but Golf- dammm thats boring, hit the ball & chase it, hit the ball & chase it, BUT I digress ) , then Roberto Clemente was killed in a plane crash & I just stopped carring about sports, bammmm, cold turkey, done with it all, now I go to a game here & there but am there for the friends & cigars, food & drink, the game is just a side line to the good time, thats just the way i feel about the whole big mess, & all the millionair cry baby athletes??? , give me a break, i would rather watch Hulk Hogan, we know its fixed !!

Golf is always nice...But I cant wait anymore for NCAA basketball to start back up. UK had an amazing run last year, and it seems we have one BAD ASS team this year. Very excited!
 
Basketball , dammmm , just a buch of tall skinny guys running back & forth , putting a ball into a basket with out a bottom, :!: , run up the floor & down the floor, dont forget to stop & choke out the coach, or run up in the stands & punch out some of the fans, yea thats a real game, ! hahaha

Syntax, I see by your signature that your an Air Force supporter, are you in now or were you in? I was a cook in the Navy back in the late 60's early 70's , best job I ever had, , I had a great time , met a lot of great people , cooked a lot of Wonderful food , drank some great scotch & smoked some of the finest cigars in my life , they might have been dog rockets but when your with friends,& I would rather have a cheep cigar than smoke a great cigar with a bunch of loosers . I am a life member of the D.A.V. & the Viet Nam Vets of Americia, Chapter 862 ,Beaver County Pa. A great place to smoke a cigar with OLD friends !. , as I have told bloofy, the couch is always open & the smoking lamp is lit, the beer is cold, the scotch is single malt & the cigars are always at 70F/70%Humidity .
