Sunday Morning Smoke

The checks in question are from Aug, & Sept,, he had plenty of time to come in & make them good, I called him my self & got his machine when the second check came back, he hasnt been in the shop since I called, but he did have a cigar in his mouth when I stopped at his home, so I know he didnt stop smoking, well the policy is & will be Cash, check or Plastic , the Bounced checks will be given 10 days to be made good plus 20 bucks & then the check will be placed on the wall in the glass case for all to see the Deadbeats ! well we made an other fine week , I had a great one this past week, ,met a few guys for Lunch & cigars yesterday, picked up a Partagas Serie D #4 KUBAN , which is always nice, had a shrimp coctail & a bowl of chili, what a combo , & talk about GAS ! WOW the wife wanted to shot me more than Normal , I added scrable to the game pack in the computer, & played till 1:30 this morning, it is adictive!, But I was up early 8:30 (not my normal 6 ) for my coffee & Don Carlos #3 , just finished breakfast with the wife & as soon as she gets the kitchen cleaned up a bit I will head back there & start supper for tonight, Home made gnockie, or how ever you spell it, you know the patoto pasta , well I have some chicken breasts & tomatoe sauce Better known as RED GRAVY & a bag of russet spuds from Idaho , so I will get in there & make a mess for my wife to clean up again ! Steelers play tonight at 8:30 so I have all day to cook, smoke , drink coffee & listen to music , life sure is TUFF hahahahaha

285 right out of the shower yesterday morning, started out at 417, I wish I had the will power to loose the weight like you co worker did , I tryed many times lost 100 pounds or more 10 different times, just kept putting it back on, well now it will never come back, I eat so little now, one egg & one slice of bacon, no toast , coffee, water, lots of water, chicken , turkey, beef, pork , VEAL, ( when they get to close to the fence ) , very little carbs , lots of WATER , some veggies & a little fresh fruit , & LOTS OF WATER ! Now you sound like a verginia slims commerical, you come a long way baby ! hahaha, well it has been a lot of ups & downs weight wise , now I am on my way to live a longer & healthier life, at 417 I was having a hard time getting down on the floor to play with the grandsons, now, I can even get back up with out help ! Good Morning , its Sunday again, made an other week with out getting my self delivered to the morgue!, got up a little later than I wanted today but it will all work out, we had a little snow last night , so this morning everything is covered in a white blanket of snow & ice , the roads are clear , so that is good, it looks great out there , I made a pot of Christmas blend coffee from Hickory farms & fired up a Don Carlos #3 , it is a bit chilly out on the Qtr.Deck, but the electric base board heat will get it up to 65/70 in no time . I have a small roast beef to make today, just over a pound & a half, big enough for Barb & myself, with left overs for Monday night , the Steelers play at 4 today, & the roast will be out of the oven about 4:30, & by 5:30 I will be back in the Qtr.Deck with a cigar & a cup of decafe, no cafine after 5 pm, I need all the beauty sleep I can get ! hahaha Enjoy, Vince

I would not get down on my home team , why so critical of the Jets? , the Mets & the Nets , you could root for the bills or the giants , & if I had a death wish I could go to the cigar shop with a cleveland browns hat on, No my friend, just pick a team & cheer for them, hey I have a buddy who is a Green Bay fan , & on Saturday he cheers for Notre Dame , never was a student there, never lived in GB, he just like s them, well, his choice . I dont even fallow football much anymore, but this new kid has the entire area fired up, BIG BEN , If they win today he will be the real deal, but I dont look fwd, to a big game today , it is cold & snow/rain mix , bad footing & slipery Football, not going to be a high score today IMHO Enjoy, Vince

An other week of coffee, cigars , single malt scotch & and an other Steeler win !, I dont know what I will do this afternoon with out the Steelers playing on Sunday as they beat the Giants yesterday , So I guess I will spend the rest of the day in the QTR.Deck listening to music & sipping coffee & puffing on a fine Davidoff Gran Cru or a Partagas Serie D #4 . I had a pot of christmas blend from Hickory Farms all ready today, & my Don Carlos #3 . it is COLD & snowing here in the Burgh but the temp in the Qtr.Deck is 65, with a long sleve flannel shirt & heavy sox under my slippers I am comfortable , the coffee keeps me warm & the latin Jazz makes me HOT !, how ever it has no effecton the wife , dammmm !!!!!!

An Amtrac super bowl, hey I like that ! we all ready beat them one time this year, who knows maybe twice ! , it got down to 10 below last night , dammmmm it was cold I was having trouble in the Qtr.Deck, could only get it to 52 in there last night, to cold to smoke anything but a petite corona , & drink a few cups of coffee to stay warm, but it will be in the 40's on Tuesday, that means the Qtr.Deck will be in the 70's & I can relax with a few Dbl.Coronas, & a churchill or 2! 12/26, the Sunday after Christmas, I hard a hard time logging on this morning but got throught tonight, it has been a great week here in the Burgh, the Steelers won AGAIN, & it looks like I will get a good nights sleep , I had a few celebration drinks today & a few cigars, the biggest was an H.Upman 2000 Double Double corona, I dont know what the name of it was , but it was as big as a Fuente Canonoe or bigger for all I know , lets just call it an "A ", Santa was good to me & the grandsons , the olest one made me a large plack of his hand prints & the outside area was covered with cigar bands, it will go up in the Qtr.Deck asap!,I didnt need to cook today we have enough left overs to last all week ! Then what ever is left then , I will make it into soup & that will last an other week ! hahahaha !
I am still waiting for my shipment of "Imported" cigars I sure hope they made it through the snow & fire in the mid west.
we are gearing up for New years eve, amiture night as I call it, the one night of the year some people go out & have a drink or 3 , amitures ! I try to do it all the year long, hahahahaha ! oh well I better get back & practice some more, that Bottle of Cask strength Macallen is calling AGAIN ! Enjoy, Vince

The steelers havent won the super bowl YET this season, but Dammmm they sure do have a hot hand !!!, I hope they win it all, come Feb.
ahhh yes the cask strength Macallen , like Honey to a bee !, so soooooooooth, so much taste, it paired well with a Bahia Gold maduro Torp, as well as the Upman, , I was going to make a Rusty Nail with it, but I dont want to use it to mix it is so dammmm goooood in a snifter , so I will get out the bottle of Chevis for the Rusty nail, but not tonight, I have had enough to drink, on my new smaller stomach, right now I am at 280 & still loosing, , 80 pounds to go !, I will get back to that lean mean fighting machine I was when I ws 25 ! well maybe not as mean as I was then, but just as lean, 417 back in April, , 413 right before the big cut, 407 after the bowl prep the night before, , Yes thats right 10 pounds of $h!t !!!
well here I am living proof that you can loose 137 pounds in 8 months well ok almost 9 months , it will be 9 on the 8th ! , my daughter can now toch her hands together when she hugs me, she was never able to that before ! , she is 32 years old now , so I have been to big to long ! , I cant wait till summer to get some more of this off, by August I hope to have the last 80 pounds off & the hanging skin removed, then I will be able to see little vinny with out a mirror ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

welcome switchblade 45 , good to see some one else post back , Bluff & I have been going back & forth for a few years here & on other cigar sites , nice to have a fresh idea here & there , I am old Navy , I had the best job in the service, I was THE COOK , no body ever messed with the cook or the medic, you never know whats in the oatmeal, or in your medical records ! ! hahaha , Now I am a retired Chef, who hangs out at a local cigar shop, the the owner , Bless his heart, gave me a key to come & go as I please , as a matter of fact I am getting ready to go there now & open up for him, he is at home sick in bed ( just got married a few months ago)
so I will smoke for free today & drink coffee on his dime , LIFE IS GRAND ! Enjoy, Vince
