Sunday Morning Smoke

I do my best to tell whats going on , it is my blog spot with out having to make my own site ! to lazy to do it any other way ! , the morning smoke was just fine, I came in to make a pot of decaf , after splitting 2 pots of Kona with the wife & a third all to my self I figured it was time to go to the un leaded , the wife made some banana bread & I am waiting for it to cool as soon as i can cut it I am going to have a thin slice & more coffee, & I have a Prodomo Legend from cigars International to fire up when the banana bread is gone, I dont know why she will never let me cut it when it is still warm, YOU GOT TO WAIT TILL ITS COOL ! , well she is the boss hahahahahaha & if I want to go through life with out having to look over my shoulder, wellll you all know what I mean hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

36 years today , I got married for the first & last time, we have been "HAPPY" ever sice , so she tells me hahahaha there werer a few bottles of single malt waiting for me on the table when I got up this morning a Glenfarclas 120 proof cask strenght , a single malt RED BREAST IRISH WHISKY & a low land malt called Auchentoshan, I plan on sleeping late in the morning , going to give all 3 a taste test tonight !
we went out for lunch today , & to see the Pittsburgh Banjo Club this evening , I told Barb I wanted to do what we did 36 years ago & she said , like what, Open a bunch of cards filled with cash & checks ? hahahaha Silly Girl she know all our friends are on fixed incomes & dont have any cash ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

Bloofy, NO roses they just die & you toss them out, I did get her a rose bush a few years ago & it bloomed this year , I don't like to plant ornamentals , I like to plant stuff you can eat, so this year I made rose jelly, it was sweet but not much flavor, next year i will get her some thing practical , like a weed wacker hahahahahaha

Good news- bad news , well its all the same news, A buddy got a new job, he is leaving for Boloxie(sp) Miss. in the morning, one less cigar smoker here in da burgh, one more cigar smoker in the casinos , dammm now my wife will need to find me a new baby sitter, she could always count on BOB to watch me when we went out & keep me out of trouble , you know a friend who will bail you out, well Bob would be sitting beside me in jail saying man that was fun ! LETS DO IT AGAIN hahahaha ! my loss , his gain, good for him, bad for me ! dammm , well my wife will be looking for a new baby sitter for me , submit you photos & what you will charge !!! hahahahaha Enjoy, Vince

Gooood Moooorning !!! it is Sunday the 20th of August 2006.
I got an E mail from Bob who is now in Gulfport Miss. , I am going to miss he big Lug ! he got a job back in a casino & took off for the warm humid south again, he had been back here from a little over 2 years , & it was a fun time , smoking drinking & sipping coffee, but now , well lets just say i will miss him, & my wife all ready is missing him, with him gone she has been having to take me places & do things , well she is tired of it all ready hahahaha,
the eye is getting a little better & I go see the doc Monday at 8:30 am , I still have a little curve in some things I see , but it is better than a big hole in the center of my vision !

I went to a rolling event at Alleghney Smoke works & met Cyclest ,I know thats not how it is spelled But I am to lazy to go back & look up the proper spelling , I know I should & I apploigise , so Ken , stop down any time & stay away from the Thi Food .
it has been hazy hot & humid the past few days , hey its August in da burgh , thats the way is works, hot in the summer , cold in the winter, but at lest we are not as bad off as Minnesota or Up state NY when it gets to winter or as Hot & humid as Mississippi or Alabama in the summer .
I made a pot od Cold brewed Kona last night , I will be warming it a bit in the microwave for breakfast , but I plan on sipping it chilled later today , if you want a taste be sure to stop in ( anytime after 1 PM, today thank you , I do have a family who wants some of my time ) hahahahaha
the NEW cigar shop will be opening soon, we have our tax ID number & will be ordering cigars asap , No phone yet so I cant give you the Number !!, the place is Looking good, the walk in is 16 X 20 , & we will have a lot of seating to accomadate a bunch of cigar smokers , the Lounge will be BYOB all the time & we will have coffee . should be up & running the first week in Sept., the new computer program for the inventory control is not here yet so will will be pricing all the sticks till the bar code printer & program are up & running, , BUT we will be open , ASAP !!!!
that will just about do it for me this morning, not much happening here in da burgh with me anyhow so you are all filled in unless I remember some thing else to post today ! time for some Eggs & a hot cup of Kona, then its off to the Qtr.Deck for my meeting with Don Carlos III & some Jazz, a little Miles, the Count & maybe a little Dixieland today . Ken was going to do the POD cast with us, BUT he ate some Thai food that didnt agree with him, spent the night paying for it !!!!!!
Oh yea , the cold brewed Kona was just fine !!!
I am working on a Celebese Freedom Press pot now with a 15 YO single malt & a Mayorga Hi Octaine.

He thinks the curryed goat had gone bad, he eats at this place all the time & he said it didnt taste just right, so he didnt finish it but to late , , he called the place & his was the last order so if anyone else got sick they dont know , I dont like to get bad food in a place you go to all the time, , , as a regular customer the cook should have told him it was OLD. or tossed it out after 48 hours, , I never kept anything past 12 hours , If it didnt get eaten at supper or breakfast the next morning it was gone before lunch !
