Sunday Morning Smoke

I don't mind the heat but it makes it tuff to taste anything after that, & to top it off it BURNS even more coming OUT, dammmmm hemorrhoids ! hahahahaha



I am off to Jamestown NY in the morning will be there a few hours & then headed back to Da Burgh , just found out today, no time to make any plans for a cigar there with any locals , maybe next time !

Its that time again, it is Sunday Morning , the 27th of August 2006
I just finished breakfast with the wife , 2 strips of bacon & 2 eggs, for both of us, she had one strip of bacon & one egg & I had what was left, one strip & one egg ! hahaha, dammmmm I remember when I wouldnt unsheath my knife & fork for one egg !, well the coffee this morning is Community Coffee with chicory from the New Orleans Area , my first sample of this brand & it was sent to me by my Buddy Bob who just moved to Boloxie , he took a job in one of the Casinos , dammmmm I miss him like a toothache hahahahah!
well he set the coffee & I have been sipping it all week, alternating it with decafe ,Kona will be the next pot today when I head out to the Qtr.Deck I will have the kona & a stick to be named later, just dont know what I will start the day with, maybe a the God Of Fire , no I only have one & I want it with a scotch, not that I cant have one this morning but I dont want to get hammered this early in the day, it makes for a bad relationship with the boss when the grandsons are here I am in the bag so to speak. well the trip to Jamestown went well, all but the candle holder I got at the Lucy gift shop, ( Jamestown NY is Lucys home town & there is a lucy shop on every street, almost ) well when I got it home there was a chip in the globe so it is back to Jamestown Tuesay to exchange it , again this will be a quick trip , up in the morning back in the afternoon. we did manage to stop at a cigar shop on the way home( Lords Tabacco in New Willimington Pa ,) geeeeee imagine that, BUT in down town Jamestown

how can that be , I did find a news stand but white owls & swishers are not what I had in mind !I was told by a few people there had been a shop but it closed & I heard of a shop in a house just outside of town but I didnt go looking for it .
OHHHH $HIT I almost for got, I hit the lottery !! yep I got 5 BUCKS on the 6 bucks worth of tickets I got last Sunday afternoon ! whahoo !!!!! so this week I lost just one Buck not the 6 I do every other week ! hahahaha

There was a sale on Pork this week, one of the farmers pigs got out & was hit by a car , totaled the car & the pig, well we are haveing pork chops today hahahahah , good thing the 29 YO blond girl driving was OK or I might be eating some thing else today hahahahaha !!! That reminds me of the latest George Carlin CD I have , he has gone very deep into the dark side of comedy , talking about the all suicide Tv network, & the transplant organs (including the Not waist anything vigina transplants ) , Now who wouldnt want one of them ! , trade in the tired old worn out one for a new tight one ! , Yea & if I suggested that I would be on the couch the rest of my life hahahahaha


The new Cigar shop will be open the first week onf Sept., we are picking up our first cigar order Friday morning , 1 Sept.2006 & I should have stickers on athe boxes & have them on the shelf just in time for the 1st ! the new adress is 1106 Penna. Ave Monaca Pa 15061, thats KING BEAVER CIGARS , No not that kind of beaver , the one Beaver County is named after you know the little animals that build dams ! you bunch of sick perverts ! I guess that why I hang arround here hahahahaha , we dont have a phone number yet the guy is comming Thursday to hook us up. I will post it asap.

It is time for all the Grange fairs & county fairs & I will be boycotting them all this year, last time I went I ate way to much & got sick, so now I am going to be smarter than I look & staying away from the temptation is best thing, even after the operation & near death experence I still am driven by my taste buds , sadd but I am a slave to them, som people drink, some shoot up with drugs, ME, well I eat ! , BUT so far so good, I have gained only 5 pounds this summer ,& will be taking it back off asap, when I have the scar tissue removed from the eye it took away my daily walks & that just ruined me for a few weeks consumed to much didnt burn enough off, now that the eye is better I can start to swim & walk again, get the old heart up to about 155/157 BPM & keep it there about 3 minuts , that about all I can take right now , when I checked the BP this moring I was at 143/79 with a resting paulse of 55 , not bad for a former fat @$$ of 417 pounds , tipping the scale this morning at 220, up 5 from my lowest post surgery weight .

Time to get off the computer & out to the Qtr.Deck I have an ISOM fonseca clipped & ready to light , the pot of Kona is almost done

Ahhh Yes I can see it in my Minds eye, the azure blue water, the waves slapping up against the sides of the sail boat, with the First mate sleeping on the fore deck, the capt. sitting aft with a fine old cigar & a snifter of Old brandy , the sun just off the horizon casting a wonderful orange glow to everything , Music wafting in from the harbor night club & the aroma of BBQ in the air. , Dammm I wish I could write like that, OH DAMMMMM I JUST DID ! hahahaha

NEW SHOP TO OPEN SOON, 1106 Penna Ave , Monaca Pa 15061, King Beaver Cigar co. about 25 miles NW of the point in Pittsburgh , in the heart of Beaver County, no phone yet, but the 10 leather chairs were delivered today, the Humidor has some cgars in it all ready but the major order is scheduled to hit on Friday Sept.8 , so we will be open Saturday , dammmmm I wanted the weekend off hahahahahaha ! , stop in & say hello, the beer willbe cold the scotch will be some single malt, the bourbon will be Knob & the cigars will be costing 5 times as much as Thompsons charges hahahahahaha !!!! JUST A JOKE !

Sunday Morning 3 Sept. 06, it is almost 11 am here in the burgh, the Mayor passed away this past week, he was only 61 , just went to the hospital for some flu like symptoms 6/8 weeks ago & they found out he had a rare form of Brain cancer, Bang that fast it was all over , RIP BOB O'CONNER. A true gentleman & former Resturaunt Manager , I never had the pleasure of working with him but all of thouse who did say he was a wonderful boss.

the New shop didnt get open for the First of Sept. , still some work to do inside , the 10 leather chairs were delevered on Thursday , the hi speed internet is installed & most of the trim is painted, still no glass in the opening of the humidor , so we cant keep the humidity up to anything close to keep the cigars happy, so we dont have a window yet, I hope we will be open by the 15th of the month, but if we are not ready then we will go when we are ready & not a second sooner, I want everything in place & everything working when we open for business , dammmm that reminds me the beer cooler isnt installed yet ! dammmm, & the Humidifyer unit needs to be plumbed in , auto fill the only way to go when you will have a bunch of young girls working the evening shift, hey they cant be slechipping water to fill the humi when they should be sliding up & down the brass pole in the seating area,
( they are all ex or still working strippers ) hahahaha , Just a joke , but they are all HOT LOOKING BABES . & I get to train them all hahahahahaha (on how to sell cigars that is hahaha )

Hurricane Erenesto has made a mess of the weather here in da Burgh this past week the Grange Fair was washed out & I didnt get to stand in line for 3 hours to get a stuffed porkchop dinner this year , so I have a small pork rosat defrosting right now & I plan on stuffing it later today , that reminds me I better get the corn meal muffins out of the freezer for the stuffing. I made them about 6 weeks ago & froze them till I needed them & now I need them Dammmm what foresite I have hahahahaha
the Kona was just as good as I had hoped for this morning & my friend Don Carlos III wants me to bid you all a wonderful Sunday
I have a pot of Margoheppie (sp) brewing & a Mambacho for after lunch , since it is a chilly cool day with the projected high of 68 today I might have some soup for lunch , I think there is a little bit of beef barley in the freezer , I will get it out when I get the corn meal muffins out , pop the soup in the microwave for a quick defrost & split a frilled cheese with the wife, sounds like a fair lunch for 2 former fat people hahahahaha
I planted 4 tomato plants this year & so far I havent got one red tomato , NOT ONE !! some of my friends have all ready pulled there plants out of the ground , just way to much production, I dont know what I did wrong this year but I have a total of 4 green fruits on all the plants , that ONE on each plant , JUST ONE, there are a few flowers on some but no fruit, the last time I planted tomatos I had 4 plants & had so many I was taking them to work in shopping bags & leaving them on the table for anyone to take , this year they are ina different location, but only 20 feet from where they were before , so I have no idea what I did wrong or why they didnt grow, glad the Herbs are doing just fine & since I eat more herbs than Tomatos, it all works out for me !
My Grandson got a new Piano this week, he is all happy, not that the last one was a bad one , it was a fine instrument a spinnet , but it was always going out of tune, I dont know if the tuner was just making a few extra bucks by not tightning everything but in a few weeks you could hear the difference , so a guy from the store when to my daughers home looked at the piano & offerened her more than I paid for it on a trade in on the new unit, so the new Eletronic , never needs to be tuned Piano is now in place & he is playing up a storm, I think he needs a new teacher, his mastering Bach & Beethoven is fine but I want to hear some Dave Brubeck & Vince Geraldi , or even some Hubie Blake , I do love Mozart but the kid is only 10 he needs to learn how to play JAZZ a little !!
it is starting to rain here again & I want to get out to the Qtr.Deck & get my Sunday morning second smoke started, , lunch about 12:30 right after a nice Nicaro torp, then the BIG BAD MAMBACHO after lunch ! have a great Sunday, Enjoy, Vince

Friday Up date 8 Sept.06
I was at the docs this week, the blood tests havent been encouraging , & Today I had my first chemo session, I go back in for an other blood test next week, But it was a Wonderful day here in da Burgh, I sat outside with the IV pump a cup of coffee & my radio with headphones on , ( I did sneek a cigar in while I was out there hahahahah ) , the Nurse came out & asked me what I was doing, chillen I said , Just chillen, OH OK , & she went back inside ! hahahaha , lo lecture or anything, just me Mozart & the cloudless sky & a nice 70F breeze about 5 MPH, it was a great day, I feel good now , No nausia at all, had a big hunk of cheese & smoke tomatos when I got home & I think I will heat up the leftover stuffed peppers when it is time for supper, dammmm I could eat Now !!! I have been having a lot of problems with my blood since the first operation, cant keep my red cells up, , the kidneys shut down when I had the by pass & again when I had the skin removed, last November, so I have been going to a doc to keep an eye on it , well I want in Tuesday & it was getting worse, so he thought to jump start my RBC production ( the Bone marrow is in a state of hibernation) he would give me a good dose of chemo to "kick it up a notch", Better than getting a transfusion Evey month , so he tells me ,, , , , , I go back for a blood test in a week & hope they dont need to do it again, I didn't get sick & he told me I will not loose my hair , what ever was in the chemical cocktail, but it left a bad taste in my mouth , & the cigar I was smoking seamed a bit bitter, NOT A GOOD THING!!! , the coffee was a little weak but it had a strange taste also, , Dont fret about me I am fine, it will take more than a few bugs in my blood to slow me down, , How many people do you know who would smoke a cigar when they were getting chemo ! hahahahaha
I feel good tonight I had a stuffed pepper for supper & a weeee dram of old bush mills with my Condega Robusto after supper, I dont have Leukemia I dont know the exact name of the illness but it had 13 syllables ( dammm this spell check works, i didnt know I knew how to spell syllabels ) hahahaha
The doc is an oncoligest ( cancer specialist) & I am in good hands, & he tells me I should be able to play the piano when I am well again, thats great cause I cant play now hahahahaha
I will keep drinking whisky,coffee & smoking cigars for 25/30 or more years , Or untill my wife shoots me out of utter frustration ! hahahaha & that could be any day now !!!!!!hey after 36 years of being married I am suprised I lasted this long ! hahahaha

Well it is Sunday Morning just after 11 AM , Sept.10 2006
I had a GREAT week here the weather was rainy at first but turned out just fine, yesterday I went to an end of summer picnic & it Rained , but we were all under the tents & were dry for the most part, the cigars were hard to keep lit in the 100% humidity but that didn't stop us from trying to fill up the space with smoke !
I did get a late start this morning & am a bit tired with a slight head ache & My URINE smells like chemistry class from back in High School( yes they did have High school when I was a kid ) , not that I was an honor student or anything close to it , But I was having FUN , Even Back then I was still a kid hahahaha , I guess you could say I have the Peter Pan Syndrome ( I never grew up ) , it seams like my latest Illness has a few of you a bit upset, DONT WORRY ABOUT ME , I will be fine, I havent fought my way to the top of the food chain to be overpowered by a tiny bug , this isnt a set back, this is just going to be going down a different path, ATTUTDE is is on my side ( so are single malt makers , Cigar rollers, coffee growers & manufactures of all the consumable products I spend CASH on every month !) Plus I have a great Family here & on the net , so I will be fine !!!!! Nuf said bout this , lets get back to Cigars , & coffee with a weee dram on the side !

This mornings smoke was a Condega from Tabacalera Tropical, a rubusto, I didnt have my Kona this morning so I didnt have the Don Carlos III , the coffee in the front this moening was a Mayorgia , yes just like the cigars , I picked it up at Costo's last week, NICE Coffee , great aroma & taste, my wife likes hers a lot less stronger that I like mine , I wouldnt say it is weak, But it is , , so I will be making a second pot this afternoon, & I will most likely pass on the Kona today for some thing a little more POWERFULL , a nice rich robust Kenya AA made with 6 scoops of course ground coffee & 36 ounces of water, 4 minutes in the Freedom Press pot & then Plunge , fill up my 20 ounce Mug & find something a little stronger to smoke !

My wife went to see AEROSMITH last night when I was at the picnic, she didnt get rained on like I did , & she had a great time & so did I , dammmm we should plan seperate outings again hahahahaha , she went with our daughter & 2 of her friends , so there they were 3 ,30 somethings & 1 60 Something, crusing the Aerosmith concert , I shutter to think about it ! hahahahah !

I have no idea what I am going to make for Sunday Supper today , I didnt get anything out of the freezer last night , & with it almost noon now I dont see anything thawing out in any time , maybe finish the stuffed peppers I made this week, or just bite the bullet & take her out tonight , hahahaha , maybe I will just run out to the store & grab some Brats & grill them or check the garden for a ripe tomato & have BLT's , I know there is a lot of bacon in the fridge , we ate a total of 2 slices for breakfast, one each , & one egg each, I didnt have any toast but my wife did , & we split a banana & a pot of coffee & that was breakfast , I am going to skip lunch today & just have coffee & a cigar, I will save the single malt from after supper .

Thats about all I have this morning from the 3 rivers of Pittsburgh
if anything else comes to mind I will give you an up date ASAP, Time for a cigar & more coffee ( first I need to get rid of all the coffee I have drank all ready this morning hahahaha )
