Sunday Morning Smoke

72 dammmmm its 35 here , but it is 65 in the Qtr.Deck I just finished a monte #2 & found out it was counterfit, white ash & all, glad I didnt pay for it but feel sorry for the guy who gave it to me who did pay for it , it also measured 7 X 55 , so i know it wasnt what the band said it was, however it had nice construction & smoked just fine, not much taste , reminded me of a Don Diego or a Macanudo, but the Nadura single malt & the kona were just fine
I love the jose piedros, I have about 250 of them comming , great smoke for a cheep price , nothing like it in the shop but a real croud pleaser when it is there ! hahaha

it is still raining here in da Burgh, we hit a high of 43 F today, I was able to get a few cigars smoked inthe Qtr.Deck today, dammm I sure miss sitting out there watched a great show on PBS ( yes I broke down & put a TV in , but No cable ) YET, it was about raptors, the Parigrin Falcon is one amazing bird, as they all are but it will pull 25 G's when it pulls out of a dive , & the control it has is remarkable , drop a wing, roll into a head first dive from 3000 feet & snag a jackrabbit after a corkscrew dive adjusting to the travel of the rabbit , if it misses , No dinner, they never did say how many dives come up empty but wow it was exciting to watch ! they shoed Eagles Owls & hawks but the falcon was my favotite, I guess because we have a bunch of then living in the Downtown area, they keep the pidgon population in check to some degree, (rats with wings ) I just had a Camacho select robusto, dammmm fine smoke , better than the demidia I had last night , IMHO , my wife like the aroma of the camacho so it was a win win situation for me , tonight for our cigar drive I think I will take a Diamond crown maximus Torp , it has been sitting in the humi a few years & should be ready, I know I am ! hahaha, I got it when they were released & have smoked a few all ready, this is the last one from the box , it is going to be a slow smoke with a lot of coffee , but No Scotch when I am driving , dammmmmmm, maybe she could drive for a change ! hahaha, yea like she would let me drink in the car, "Dont you know its against the law to have an open bottle in the car"yadda yadda yadda, I can hear her now so there is no point in asking ! thats ok with me I do like a great big mug of coffee with a cigar anyhow , as long as I can stop every so often to get rid of the coffee ! , I dont know what makes me Piss more , Beer or coffee, I do know that I havent been able to drink beer like I did when I was a lot younger , its tuff getting old but sure beats the alternative ! Sure , the address is 1106 Penna Ave Monaca Pa 15061, it is the main street in town, ( the only one with stores all the rest are residential,) easy to find , look for the red Christmas lights arround the windows, I was going to take them down , but it makes it easy to find the shop, green front & yellow sign, red lights , if you find the post office & bank, we are on the other side of the street a few doors up the street , 3 ered lights in town, we are between 2 of them, 724-774-5166, , there is a bottle of Sandlemans Port & some single malt scotch just waiting to have the cork pulled , I put the coffee on as soon as I get in the place , before I put the cash in the drawer , I make the coffee !

we open at 10:/11 on weekdays noon on Saturday, 2 on Sunday , close when ever I get tired of everyones BS about 7 or 7:30 on weeknights Friday till 10 or later, weekends I have no idea , I dont stay there to close , unless I need to go back & lock the door & that could be anytime after 8 , once the times change & the weather gets better we will be open till 9 evey night & 11 on Friday & Saturday, & when the golfers get out we will be opening at 6 am on Fridays & Saturdays , well we are talking about it , but nothing in stone yet ! 9-1-1, I dont have the time or the desire to go at it with either one of them, a few years & a few hundred pounds ago I would be glad to crush them with my size & speed , but now that I have dropped 202 pounds , I dont have the PUNCH I used to have , & I dont think I could take a gut shot now, No Padding hahahaha , one guy did come back a time or 2 when I was not there , he now knows this is not going to happen, all the clerks know they are to call the cops if he shows up outside . The other one hasnt showed his face Yet. & as soon as he shows his face , he will be told GET OUT, & if that has no bearing on him, , well its 9-1-1 for him also . , this is the joker I am worried about , he has a little problem with his temper & likes to carry items with a blade, like an AX , he did some time a few years ago for attempted murder , he chopped down the door to his bosses office with a fire ax & almost chopped the guy up, but a handy fire extingisher in the face slowed him down till the cops got there , but he has been on medication since then, well I guess he stopped taking it ! , all I know , if I see him at the front door with an ax, I am out the back door asap !

That my friend is just what I have at home , plug removed & hand loaded with rock salt , had to use it a few years ago on my sister in laws ex- boyfriend , seams he liked to drink more than he like her , pushed my father in law down a set of steps at a wedding reception , broke down the front door at his home , tossed a brick through my front window , & when I moved out of Monaca to Freedom he started to call me on the phone, so I got a restraining order agaisnt him & when he got his copy he went ape$hit, no problem I sent my wife to her mothers & I waited , Bingo he shows up at 2 am Drunk as a skunk eating fermented elderberrys , when he is beating on the front door I go out the back, get between him & his car & tell him to get away from the door ( after all the damage he did to my father in laws place & my last place I sure dont want this @$$hole tearing up my new place , needless to say he didnt listen to my comands & when he lunged at me with a cresent wrench in his hand , I pulled the slide & he stopped for a second & then the booze fogged his brain a bit & he moved tward me again, now this is just after I got out of the Navy & was still walking with a cane so I am not about to trade punches with him,& since I cant use the cane & cary the shot gun at the same time I left the cane inside the house, & the rest is a case number & I was slapped on the wrist by the local Justice of the Peace for discharging a fire arn in a residentuial area , he is still picking out rock salt 30 years later hahahahaha

I dont want to blast holes in the walls or leave blood on the cieling tile , besides , this guy is nuts , he was shot in the head a few years ago when he was driving a cab & robbed , best just to keep away from him, but shooting him would be one way to end everyones suffering ...................
But I dont want to be the one to do it , I knew him before he was shot in the head , & he was ok then but after man he got WIERD .

Now that Breakfast is over it is time for the Sunday Morning Smoke posting & the week in review ! , It is Sunday 4 March 07 , the clock in the living room is just striking 10 am & the computer tells me it is 959 , close enough for me , I made egg batter dipped raisin bread this morning , last night I went to the store & right at the check out counter was the raisin bread, dammmm impulse buying, it looked so good & smelled wonderful , it was still warm, so I fell for the ploy & bought a loaf , took it home & sliced a few nice rounds off it & set them out to air dry, (get stale ) , & this morning I made a light batter with 2 eggs , a splash of soda water some orange zest & a spoon of all purpose Flour , dipped the stale bread in the batter & cooked it on the griddle I just cooked the bacon on , all that Great PORK FAT in place hahahaha , hello arteries this is bacon fat it tastes Great to bad it clogs you up but thats what Lipator is for, to unclog you ! hahaha yes I still am a slave to my taste buds, but now it is just one slice , not one pound !
I have been fighting a head cold all week, just 2 cigars yesterday, my morning Don Carlos III & a cheep torpedo later in the day , that I didnt finish, just didnt have the taste , & so far today, NO CIGAR YET , I didnt even go out for my morning walk , just not feeling 100% for sure, I was going to get up early & suprise 2 Putts at the Deck house for the Sunday Morning Brunch I was invited to but turned down & now I just cant seam to get it in gear to go , as much as I want to I just dont have the stream to drive the piston to get it in motion , I dont think today will be a good smoke day for me looks like a day with out a cigar , so mark that one on your callneders 4 march 07 , no cigar day 1 dammmmmmmm,
My wife's 98 year old aunt who has had altizermers for the past 5 years passed away Friday , sitting at the piano playing away , funny how she never forgot how to play but didnt know who anyone one was or who she was , , she just stopped , got up & slumped down in a chair, & went to sleep, when the nurse came over & asked her if she wanted to go back to her room, she was cold as a stone lining the well. , she was the oldest sister of 12 , my Mother in law is the baby of that family & has had altzhimers for about 2 years now , just like all her sisters did before her, some thing in the water when they were kids ? who knows what is the cause , all I know is that I hope to be long dead before I loose what little mind I have left ! , I think My wife will go the same way as her mother unless I stick a pillow on her face soon ! haha!
I have a hunk of chuck roast defrosted , But I dont think I will be doing it today , looks like a soup or a day for eggs , I just dont feel like cooking, or smoking , dammmmmm whats this world comming to , no cigar , no food , NO SCOTCH , thank GOD I still have a taste for coffee , I didnt waist the Kona today , to mild to taste , so this morning I made a pot of Columbian supermo , added a bit of New Orleans Chicory Blend , Baby GOT BACK !!
