I have the answer to when My wife gets it, the County Home for the aged , here is your room see you next week, , , thanks for the condolences , hey the lady had a long & productive life it is a shame she didnt know anything when she died, but thats life we start out in diapers & end up back in them, But I plan on going out in style , sliding sideways into the grave with a bottle of single malt, a fist full of cigars proclaiming to the world, What a ride ! , I am working on it right now, with a cup of tea & a little lemonchello, a drop of honey in the tea, dammmmm I feel better all ready, but now it is time to get back to bed & take a nap since I will not be haviung a cigar today, better to sleep than crave hahahaha , hummmm mabe a small piece of dark chocolate before I go back to bed ............ I hope it helps, cant hurt ! hahaha Enjoy, Vince

When you wake up, don't forget to have a can of Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup with a head of garlic pressed into it. Simmer as per usual, and eat it right up. You could also try four hard boiled eggs with a generous drop of Mad Dog .357 hot sauce, the regular MD .357, it's only 357,000 Scovilles. Make sure you have some bread and butter on the side for when the heat hits. If you want to be adventurous, try the Mad Dog .357 Collector's Edition on the eggs. It's 600,000 Scovilles. If those remedies don't knock the crap out of you, . . .

get thee to a hospital!!! :sm_angel:

Beautiful day here in Zone Improvement Plan Code 85638. Our very own Brenda gifted me a few cigars yesterday. We had a great time, chatting, watching our dogs at the dedicated dog park. Very generous and wonderful young lady.

I'll be enjoying what appears to be a Don Carlos #4. Did I mention she's generous?

Thanks, Brenda!!

How's it goin' Colonel? Say hi to Brenda for me, and when you next mosey on in to town, tell me if they have any jalapeno ice cream out yonder. Don't forget to give some to the horsey, or do you let the dogs pull your coach? :D

Tombstone, AZ, a REAL American city. Let's see some pictures!!! :wine: :wine:

the garlic & hot sauce are no problem, but the 4 eggs, dammm I have trouble with 2 , but I didnt open a can of soup, I made some chicken stock last month, & froze some of it, defrosted a cup , crushed a few cloves of garlic in it ( 12 ) & added a few shots of Joe Perry Hot sauce & a weeee sprinkle of green tabasco just for the taste , a pinch of salt & down the hatch it went , now I feel all warm inside & the tea with honey & lemenchello are going down just fine, if I dont open up the sinsus cavity with all this , then its Time for the horse raddish & wassabi paste over raw oysters , but I would need to get pants & a shirt on to go get the oysters, so I might just need to defrost a few prawns instead & stay in my robe & slippers , then when the fire starts to come out of my @$$ , I will be ready & not need to unbuckle the belt ! hahahaha
Enjoy, Vince

ahhhhh yes a DC #4 one of my favorites right after the 3 . if this was Bluffys top 25 bourbon list the DC 3 would be my #1 & the DC 4 would be # 5 with the Cuban Monte #2 in second place & the very old Bahia Maduro ( from Costa Rica ) in the number 3 spot & the Cuban Partagas #4 as number 4 , not a bad looking top 5 & only 2 of them Cuban, Hummmmm I wonder if I can come up with a non Cuban top 5 & an all Cuban top five, , looks like I have a lot of work to do tasting & retasting, compiling notes & Data , dammmm sound like a tufff job, but I will let you know when the reasearch is over , I have been working on it since 1955 I still not finished , dammm I wonder what I did with all my time before 1955 , I guess I was to busy with my tricycle & toy trucks to worry to much about cigars other than collecting the bands to put on my fingers as a ring...... Enjoy, Vince

Nice Top Five, Vince. Yes, you would have the garlic and hot sauce thing all worked out already. Keep pumping it. Won't cure what's wrong with you, because if you have what me and everyone else has had, it takes rest, and time, but it'll help you feel better and function a little more. Hot sauce and garlic will get your body going, unless you're dead!!! :sm_angel: :help:

with enough garlic & hot tea , I am smelling like a Chinese soup kitchen, not that it is a bad thing , but I miss my coffee & cigars on a Sunday afternoon, , it is snowing a little here & I wish I was out in the Qtr.Deck with a cigar & a scotch, but the ears are pulling & ringing, the nose is plugged & the sinus presure is very high , my right ear keeps popping & I keep sipping the garlic chicken broth, hot sauce , tea, honey & lemmonchello , I am suprised I can still see the key board to type after a half bottle of lemenchello , a pint of garlic chicken stock & an equil amount of hot sauce not to mention the pot & 3/4 of jasmin tea with honey , I should be able to float a battle ship by now , maybe I should add a little more lemonchello to the next cup of tea hahahahaha

Sorry you weren't able to join me, Cybrus and his wife, Honey and her family for the brunch at North Park Lounge. Great place and wonderful meal. Only disappointment was that they wanted me to pay for the beers. I think if they have a large cooler full of beer (and Orange juice which they served for free) at the end of the buffet table, that it is reasonable to expect it to be included.

Thanks, Cybrus, for the Camacho sticks. They were certainly enjoyed on the ride home.

Glad you enjoyed them! Good company all around and it was very nice meeting Honey and her family.

Looking forward to seeing you guys the next time you're in town.

Sorry I wasnt able to make it, I am still blowing my nose & caughing up hard boiled eggs , went to the chiropractor this morning & still feel like 10 pounds of $hit in a 5 pound bag , better for me to stay at home & not pass this bug to anyone , all the lemenchello is gone & I have eaten an entire box of clementines ( for you who have no idea what they are , it is a small citrus fruit a kin to the Manderine orange , easy to peal & quite tasty, ) , so if Vit. C is the answer , I need an other question !

No more honey in the pot, I drank it all yesterday , ate all the fruit , finished the lemenchello, there is still some tea left , but I went for the coffee this morning , made it strong & wasnt able to taste much of anything, looks like this will be sans cigar day #2, I do have one in my pocket , but today it is just for show , I dont think I will be lighting anything up today , well last year when I had all the extra skin taken off I went 6 weeks with out a cigar , did it with out a problem , I can weather this storm with ease , just so I feel better by St.Pattys day , so I can get sloggered just like many of my Irish friends ! BTW do you know why God Invented Whisky? .......... To Keep the Irish from Rulling the World !
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha , I laugh every time I hear that one, even when I tell it ! SO TRUE hahahaha
well I need to caugh up a big ball of flem & it isnt going to be fun, I am so sore that I want to take a few handfulls of pain killers, looks like a job for the old stand by , Whisky, but dammmm I hate to drink the good stuff when I cant taste it , maybe I should just go & get a bottle of 151 Rum & get $hit faced & forget all about being clogged up !

Enjoy, Vince

Good morning , it is Sunday , 11 March 07 & my computer did advance the time for the daylight savings time ! one less clock to set ! How ever I haven't taken off my wrist watch to set it , so I am an hour behind , better an hour than a century like the local government , a developer wants to turn an old farm into condos , got shot down by the old fogy's who run the township , no expansion is needed to broaden the tax base , why building will just increase spending for road maintenance & adding stop sighs & traffic lights , why just look at Cranberry Twp ( the township to our north ) , just think of all that pristine farm land that is now paved over full of homes & TAXPAYERS , dumb old men who dont want change , some one better get it through there thick skulls , "the Borg are coming & Resistance is futile" I have been here 35 years now , when I first moved here I was all alone , my closest neighbors where Cows in the field next to me , from my home to the turnpike there were 2 stop sighs going through Cranberry Twp. now there are still 2 stop sighns & 13 traffic lights , shopping centers & car washes , places to eat , drink & get gas , HOTELS , motels & car dealerships , everything from Aston- Martins to dayewoos , what ever the H3ll a dayewoo is , all I know it is small looks like it would fold up if I got in it & hit a pothole at 55 MPH if the dammmm car would even go that fast, I guess it depends on how tight you wind the rubber band hahahaha , ahhh yes Progress in a backward looking community , BUT its home !
on some lighter news , we had a wedding reception of sorts in the shop Friday night , complete with cake !!!!Talk about a DIE HARD CIGAR SMOKER hahahahahahaha , what a mess we left for the Saturday morning crew, hahahaha better them than ME hahahaha !!!

it is a wonderful cool morning here in da burgh , no frost this this morning & I plan on taking advantage of the nice weather today , Barb & her sister are going shopping & I will be headed to the Qtr.Deck , dammmm it will be good to get back out there for a smoke , I did get some time there this past Thursday but not like I have been in the past , I am still a little stuffed up in the nose but nothing like I was last week, dammm I went 3 days with out a cigar , caughing up hard boiled eggs was no fun , that musinex advertised on TV works just fine ! & the adjustments at the chiropractor helped a lot IMHO , extra Vit.C lots of fresh fruit & plenty of liquids , Clean out the system & good to go ( but not to far from the bathroom hahahaha )

I have a pot of Kona working & am on my second mug all ready , I have a "honeydue list" to complete today, need to clean the inside of the windshield, the boss told me she is haveing trouble seeing at night when the other peoples headlights hit the windshield , way to much smoke on the inside , dammmmm there goes my idea of tinting the windows a light golden brown hahahahaha

Did any of you see the comic strip Beatle Balley ? Beetle is on KP asking Cookie if he has started to smoke again, , YOU Mean that Old Cigar ? I just use it for flavoring ! MY kind of Cook ! hahaha

I will be cooking some chicken today, with out the cigar flavoring dammmmm it , my wife wants chicken salad today so that what I will make for her, what ever she wants is my pleasure , IF I want to get any piece & quiet ........strike that,,,, Peace & quiet , well maybe both would fit in this instance hahahaha

the car still hasent gone to the body shop to get fixed from the rear ending it took last month , just no time to get it there maybe this week , But I dont think so , I have an eye appointment Monday , Chiropractor Tue, Wed & Thursday & I need the car over the weekend so Friday is out, next week looks about the same busy evey day , I can get a rental but I hate the little cars that the insurence company will pay for & if I ask for an upgrade the price is more that double what the insurance will pay , I have no problems with that BUT old tight wad the money manager saaid NO way , drive what they pay for & like it, so I am putting it off as long as I can , & if I hit the lottery I will just go get a new one & let this one stay just the way it is !
I was looking at the news paper for a car , & saw a nice looking Town car , complete with Moon roof , 60K on the clock , a 2000 Sig. series , for 8500 & in the next line I read about a 91 Honda Goldwing Motorcycle with 16K for the same price , the Honda is 9 years older than the Town car , & the same price, the book on the town car is 12K & the car is in Great shape, only 1300 miles were put on it last year , all it needs is a trip to the shop for all new fulids & its good to go the same with the Gold wing , but my wife will not go with me on the GW & I dont want to get the TC yet, but it is a great lookng car , I know the guy who has it & he told me he is in no hurry to sell it , he just wants it gone by summer as he has no room in the garage & needs a place for his Convertable that he will be getting soon, so I need to $hit or get off the pot soon , if I do get the town car I dont think I will fix the sable , it is driveable & there is no broken tail lights , I did replace them all ready , the trunk closed tight & so what if the bumper is scrached & dented, shows it worked !

we had a cigar tasting this past week & it went well, Altadis had a tasting with Quintessa & Quintaro , 2 of there lesser brands, nothing to get all excitted about 2 ordinary run of the mill cigars from a cigar heavyweight maker, some thing to fill the shelf, IMHO
the event went well & we moved a lot of product so I guess that is what its all about I want a Pardon anniv. tasting event with free smokes , Kona coffee & single malt scotch tasting all at the same time & on a night I dont need to be working, & be just a smoker in the crowd & enjoy the evening , not having to clean up spilled drinks & empty ashtryas all evening !

well its about that time for me to grab my buddy Don Carlos & go for a walk !, enjoy your Sunday !

Sounds like you have your schedule packed pretty tight! Mine isn't quite as busy. My wife is out of town - in Puerto Rico visiting her parents and abuelas. So, it's just me and the dog living it up. The cat is here too, but she only comes around when she's hungry.

I've been getting my smokes in while I can though. Thursday was a cigar.com cameroon. This is still one of my favorites. Friday I tried a cigar.com purple label. Also good, but not quite up there with the cameroon. Vince always talks about his Don Carlos cigars so yesterday I grabbed a Don Carlos Robusto and I was pleasantly surprised. It started off a bit raggedy, but soon settled on a tasty, medium-bodied smoke. Not sure what cigar will show up today, but if it's as nice out as it seems, there may be two or three!

Chicken salad does sound good (gotta keep the boss lady happy) but while the wife is away, this cook will play! Friday night was steak on the grill with grilled onions, peppers, and two baked potatos. Saturday was homemade Mongolian Beef. Need to get a hotter chili paste for the sauce, but otherwise very tasty. Tonight will be walnut encrusted pork chops. Not sure what, if anything, will show up for a side dish.

But before I get to that, it's time to pay the bills and do a little bit of house cleaning.

Catch ya later, royal ugly dudes! (Great movie quote!)

Make sure you let me know when the Padron tasting event is. I will fire up the wagon and gather some smokers along the way.

Heading out to a bracket party today to see who we will be watching in New Orleans next weekend. Four games Friday, Saturday will be drinking Irish beer and thowing beads, and two games Sunday. Love March Madness.

The usual Sunday lined up here. Coffee, a cigar, and people watch on Allen Street.

I'm taking along a Partagas 898, a Monte 3, and an RyJ Cazadores.

Allen Street, in a place like Tombstone? I'd have thought the street names were more like Rattlesnake Road, Skeleton Boulevard and Gunbelt Lane. :cryinlaugh: :wine:

1369 Toughnut street, now that is an address!

Thank you Bill and Ted.

And Vince, check on the monthly allowance for a car (or yearly). You may be able to get a suitable car if yours is in the shop for a short period of time. I've had mine for a month; and its a four door Pontiac Grand Prix. It may not be the same as my Jeep; but its big enough to make due.
