What Did You Smoke Today

I had my first taste of Johnny Walker Blue, last night. Very nice. I'm not a fan of blended but, this was a smooth, creamy, complex Scotch. I really liked it but couldn't justify the price. For $200 bucks I could buy four nice bottles of Scotch.

A friend of mine bought this really cool sampler set of Black, Gold, Blue and Green. The Green "Pure Malt" was my favorite. It had a more peaty punch. And, it wasn't as hot as the Black.

Smoked a '05 R.A.S.S. (lovely as always.) Did some wood working. I'm still working on the sheath for my knife. I'll remember my camera the nice time sos I can show off some pics

Tonight, I smoked one of the Perdomo Lot 23 toros that I got at the tasting with a Newcastle. Great cigar. It gradually built up to a pretty spicy, medium smoke. It had a couple of blemishes that I don't usually see on a Perdomo, but since all the tobacco comes from one field, I guess that's not too suprising. Based on the quality for the price, I may be getting a few more of these.

Tonight my wife and I went to our local cigar bar where I had a Hemingway Signature along with a couple of Blue Moons. We had a great time and the cigar, as always, was great!

I had a Gurka Ancient Warrior (purple label, the ones made specifically for Cigars International) and it was awesome. The description claims that there is a sweet red wine flavor and I agree 100%. It was a great smoke.

Even though it was spicy it still paired up well with the Newcastle?

After all of that talk about the Greycliffs being buttery and such, I can only imagine the heaven of pairing it with a Guinness....

Graycliff, are to me a top five all time smoke. I like the red labels, and the blues...

Last night after some dirty Grey Goose Martini's I smoked the Carlos Torano Exodus Silver in the Torpedo form. I loved it.

My local B&M had a Torano tasing the other night, and I now have an even finer appreciation for this brand. I had previously loved the Casa Torano's, and now I am hooked on the entire line.

If you haven't tried, I suggest you do!

Yesterday I smoked a cigar.com Cuban label while mowing the lawn and a La Gloria Cubana Wavell last night after dinner. Both smokes were tremendous. At some point I'm going to have to pick up a box of those Cuban labels...what a nice spice.

This morning I sat out on the deck and had a Choix Supreme with a coffee while reading the paper. What a fantastic cigar!

Smoked a 5 Vegas classic corona. For under $3 a stick, this is a fantastic smoke at twice the money. Consistant every time, great contsturction and burn. Reminds me of the traditional medium bodied cigars that first got me into cigar smoking years ago. After a week of "trying" new cigars, its nice to have a humi full of these to "come back to".

we had great weather this weekend. I smoked a lot of Cuban labels. Man I just love that cigar. It is complex, good draw, great flavor, and always satisfying.

I finished a box of Cameroon labels up at grouse camp this weekend. Man, those things went fast!

What a day!

Started the day reading the paper and drinking coffee. Can't smoke in the morning, since my porch faces east and it gets pretty hot with the sun, but that was alright.

Then I watched the Saints win their second game in a row! On the road! Against a team that beat them 50-3 last year! After turning the ball over three times in the first quarter when they could have just given up! What a game!

I just got done smoking a Gurkha Nepalese Warrior followed by a Fuente 8-5-8 Cameroon. I definitely preferred the Gurkha. What a great Cameroon! But both smokes were fantastic.

Now, off to bed. Such a great day.

El Rico Habano. Great flavor, kicked my butt strength-wise, burn was terrible.

8am right now and I am enjoying a fresh cup of Nicaraguan Coffee from my latest visit and smoking a Cigar.com Cameroon Label. Excellent combination IMHO.

La Aurora 1495 robusto. Perfect Burn. Absolutely perfect burn. full bodied, kinda young on the frontbut very smooth and toasy on the finish. The taste was real interesting. I cannot fully describe it. Kinda Leathery, Kinda dark, pretty good.

This was one really good cigar. The constructions was flawless and the burn and draw were perfect. I smoked it until my fingers burned.

Played 9 this morning and had a 5 Vegas Gold Churchill that lasted the whole time and more - nice mellow smoke - great for a first cigar in the morning with coffee.
