What Did You Smoke Today

Golfing on a Monday morning?

Bro, can we switch jobs?

It was something I NEEDED to do. I worked all day yesterday (which was advantageous since I missed the first half of the Giant game) - so I think it was acceptable.

I have to admit - I really like what I do for a living!

I managed to smoke a very nice Comacho Corojo tonight! What a great smoke, I higly recommend them to one and all!

i had a 2 cigar day. i had a Honduran Primero after breakfast with a cup of white tea. very light flavor. very light draw. very little smoke. very uneven burn but for a buck a stick what can you expect? the only taste i could get out of it was a hint of cedar.

this did get me in the mood for more honduran tobacco. after a hearty lunch i had a gurkha class regent. this was medium on the flavor, a bit hard on the draw, and tons of smoke. it was a bit of an uneven burn so im going to let the others that i have rest for a bit.
again i got some cedar out of it with a hint of spice every now and then. besides that it was just pure rich earth.

Smoked a Fuente Anejo today. I love these cigars. They have great construntion and have IMHO the best Maduro wrappers I've had to date. Can't get enough of um :D

A.F. hemingway Signature.

very light on the prelight smell.

started rich and earthy with creamy texture and no after taste. by the half way point chocolate and maybe caramel taste crept out but also picked up a black pepper after taste. It finnished with hints of coffee and hot spice on the lips.
I burnt my fingers on this one.
only one corrective light at a spot that got damaged in my humi.

i can see how this would be a great breakfast smoke.

burn time: 1h 40 min

I smoked a Castle Hall Churchill this morning - that was a good 2 hour smoke. Very smooth and great burn - I am 2 for 2 in churchills this week.

I stopped by my local shop at lunch and enjoyed at Ashton VSG Belicoso No. 1. I had smoked a Robusto over Christmas and hated it. I learned a lesson today. Always try a second because the Belicoso No. 1 was excellent. Great smoke. I also picked up a CAO Sopranos to smoke tomorrow with my Father on his birthday. Don't worry, he's trying his first Opus.

Qban Petit Corona's from Punch and Partagas on Monday & Tuesday. I am in Canada again :D

Smoking a Padilla Maduro Torpedo right now. Great cigar, very pleased. Nice cigar to finish the night with a glass of scotch.

RP Olde World Reserve Corojo Robusto. Excellent cigar! Perfect draw, (nearly) perfect burn, incredible flavor. I'm going to let my other one sit in the humidor for a couple of months and try it then. I'm sure it will only get better. Great cigar for the first cool night of fall - it's in the lower 70s, not bad for South Carolina at all.

I smoked a Saint Luis Rey Belicoso. Uh, wow this thing had a ton of flavor. When I first lit it it was hearty with tons of smoke. Burn was even and stayed lit but, didn't hold an ash for squat. By the time I got to the label the interesting flavor from the foot had become overwhelming. I ended up with an inch left in the ashtray. This way my first foray into "full" cigars. I think I'll stick to the "medium".

Yesterday was my day off but I spent it finalizing the details of my first post grad catering gig this coming Saturday. I did manage to smoke two good cigars though:

Hemingway Short Story
Fuente Forbidden X (Perfecxion X size)
The SS had a very tight draw for the first 1/4, but after rolling the cigar between my fingers the draw improved.
The Forbidden X was as good if not better than the last one I had several months ago. Burn was nearly flawless and the flavor went on for days.

Late this morning I had a Flor de Oliva 10th Anniversary toro which burned even, gave off a great aroma and lasted just over an hour.

Nording Torpedo by RP -> 54x4, pure pleasure...great flavor.

This was my third one within the last month, and @ $3.95 each from B&M these are a great value.

Camacho Coyolar Puro Perfecto No. 1 (Thanks Brenda!) Great cigar that made me a little light-headed toward the end. Excellent flavor. It might have been because I gave blood yesterday, but I think it was probably just the cigar. I'm pretty sure the Coyolar Titan would probably kill me.

punch magnum 5.2 x 54

i had some problems with the light and had to finish with a bick. my ritual was messed up.

i think this changed the taste. THe cigar was bitter, harsh and almost too spicy.

prelight smell was very nutty so i was expecting it to be a bit smoother.

i have more of these and i hope that the light was the problem and that i didnt waste my time and money on this cigar from a brand that i thought was supposed to be great.

I had a pretty good smoking day yesterday - I won't say where I was because I am getting a bad rap.

Started with a ERDM Demi-Tasse - GREAT 15 to 20 minute smoke!
then:

Punch PC (1999) - damn these are nice
ERDM Choix Supreme - hehe
AVO Maduro - with some more time in the humidor - it was much better than the last one

All in all I would have to give the day an A!

SHEESH KELVIN....

Are you planning on doing any work anymore????????????
