What Did You Smoke Today

Friday - El Rey Demi Tasse (from Kelvin's Island)
Saturday - Rocky Patel Connecticut Toro
Sunday - La Gloria Wavell

A great weekend for me!

I hit the links again today and lit up one of the Pueblo Dominicanos from the cig of the month last month. This was a long cigar. Had a tight draw and was a little fuller flavor than those I have been smoking. It was an enjoyable experience. I can see myself buying more of these.

I've found with those Pueblos that a few months of age makes that draw loosen up a bit. Those are great sticks. I smoked a 5 Vegas classic churchill last night and had a Fonseca 5-50 today. Both were really good smokes. The Fonseca had a few burn issues, but nothing that I couldn't correct with a llittle touch-up. A good mild stick.

Saturday night I very much enjoyed a La Aurora Preferido Corojo #2. Wow!!!

Tonight I think it was a Alec Bradley Trilogy. Very nice as well!!

Yesterday I had 2 excellent smokes - my first H. Upmann Mag 46 - it was GREAT!!! Earthy and smooth - more flavor the more I smoked it. Then I had a La Corona Corona - another GREAT smoke!!!

That was all I could manage because we played 18 in 2 hours and 25 minutes!!!

2 hours and 25 minutes?! Sounds like a Par 54 course, or you guys are just that good (single handicap).

just about right for a putt putt course. did you get it thru the windmill this time lol

I hate playing when there's a tournament going on. Took us 5 1/2 hours to complete our round because of the dang tournament ahead of us. We even took a short lunch break after the front 9, and STILL caught up to the tournament players! :x

Actually our course has a slope of 128 (par is 70) - it's not that easy. My partner and I had no one in front of us and we don't mess around. Plus, I drive the cart - and it's fast!!!! Next year I hope to make the Chase.

Tomorrow will be a considerably slower round - uggghhhh - client golf. I haven't packed my cigars yet. What shall I bring????

Yesterday I put away:

1 x A cigar by el rey de los habanos that I already lost the band to
2 x cuban label robusto
2 x cameroon label robusto
1 x Graycliff Prof. Vintage 199 PG (amazing)

Today I managed to get a cigar in before the kids came home. It was an HdM Rothchild Double Maduro. Highly reccomended if you like the spice!! Goes great with a cup of Kona!

I had a Short Story with my morning coffee, followed by a Choix Supreme.

Now I'm about 2 inches into a Punch Gran Puro Santa Rita and so far so good. I would say it's medium bodied with a slight earthiness.

Belive it or not, its been a while since I lit up a cigar. Even when Alex came up, I didn't smoke. This time of year with bird hunting I like to smoke my pipe.

But, last night the wife and I wen to the local micro brew. They called me and said the Octoberfest was just tapped. I took a few cigars with me, and ended up smoking a Punch Punch from I believe the 98 box. Not sure, but it was my last one. Started out as the typical Cuban, a little tight, but a wonderful aroma. Half way it turned real earthy, and had a great finish. I ended up going home with a case of 24, and two growlers full of beer. I am heading up grouse hunting again, see you all when I get back!

Smoked the Punch Gran Puro from the CoM package last night. It had an excellent even burn, nice easy pull and huge amounts of smoke. About half way through I got a nice...roasted(?) taste. Like roasting nuts. about 2/3 into it I discovered a surprisingly strong sweet flavor. Definitely pleasant.

Before the round - a Choix Supreme - has been in the humidor for about 8 months so it was sweet and smooth!!!!!

Front 9 - Punch Rare Corojo Pita - I still love these babies - consistent taste from the beginning to the end.

Back 9 - A very young RASS from a cab I just picked up. It was a little rough at first with that nutty, grassy taste that I love out on the course - then it mellowed out very nicely at the end. The draw was a bit hard at first but loosened up perfectly about 1/3 of the way though.

I am going to miss these fall days on the course.
