Been smoking new cigars so I better post.

7/23- 8-5-8 flor fina, Patel Edge maduro torpedo, Patel Edge maduro missle

7/24- None

7/25- Short Story which is a short story as the wrapper had a crack and it unraveled on me. A Patel Edge maduro torpedo.

7/26- CAO MX2

7/27- CAO MX2, CAO Brazilia Samba

7/28- CAO MX2

7/29- natural Diploma

7/30- Cohiba XV 652 and Padron natural Londres

I tried one of Deacon_Meyer's ABAM Gran Coronas today and it wasn't half bad. A bit slow at first but it picked up in flavor and intensity about midway through.

I also have a AF Best Seller this morning and after the ABAM I had a very nice Cohiba Siglo V.

Today I drove up to Palomar Observatory. I almost forgot what 70º feels like  Since they still haven't installed electrical outlets in the cedar trees, I brought along a thermos of Cubita dark roast and a La Punta. With the light breeze, coffee, fine smoke and aroma from the trees, I didn't want to leave.

Anyway...back to reality.

I'm now halfway through a VR Unicos and some Glenfiddich 15 year single malt. Ahhh, che bella!!

just had my first af cuban corona complemented by MR George Killian red Irish beer. The cigar was nice with a mild woody sweet spicy flavor. Will probably have it again.

7/29 - Padron 4000...always yummy
7/30 - my first Padron 4000 Maduro...good, but the natural is much better.

7/31 - rocky patel EDGE second - after an initial plug...it was a good smoke.

Started August with a Hemingway Short Story on the way to work this morning. Followed it with an AF Exquisito at lunch.

Stuck in the office clearing up some paperwork on Saturday - had a Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild - been sitting in the humidor for a month. What a great smoke - tremendous draw and tasty. Had it with a cup of coffee - what a great combo. Makes coming in to the office on the weekends worth it

I had a CAO Italia. The Ciao is a well rounded smoke, starts out full and ends smooth....a great smoke....I highly recommend one stocked in the humidor!

I have a Brazilia Churchill in the humidor - I figure a nice fall day for that one.

Had an Indian Tabac Classic Boxer. Not a bad smoke at all. Very nice construction, good draw, good amount of smoke.

that's funny - I just had the same thing - out on the porch with a nice pale ale - i liked the contrast between them

Since there's been so much talk about 'em, I had a C18 Robusto with my morning coffee.

Now I'm heading out to my sister's for a barbeque and tagging along will be a RASS and a BBF.

I'm about four hours from my first Mx2. Man that stick looks good. Ill let yall know how it goes.

Chris

I had the MX2 recently and really liked it. Probably one of my favorite maduro smokes. Enjoy the MX2, I know I did.

had a CS this evening after an 11 hour work day. going to post pics of the time spent as soon as i get my stuff working.

Today I had a CAO Bella Vanilla Corona. I think I'm smoking wrong. There was parts of this cigar that tasted good. Then their was other times where I didn't get any taste. When do you guys get the taste? On the Draw, on the way out? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeffrow, that's perfectly normal. You should taste it all the way through but mostly while in your mouth. There really is no wrong way to smoke a cigar (except backwards or with the cap on...) but the true way is to take a large draw and hold it in your mouth without inhaling. Then puff out your cheeks and very slowly blow the smoke out. You might get some funny looks but thats the way to get the most flavor.

Oh, you might want to try not to mention smoking flavored cigars here unless you want to catch a lot of crap from the old vets.

7/31= Patel Edge maduro torpedo

8/1= Same

8/3= Same

8/4= Same

8/5= Drew Estates Sauza Don Eladio

8/6= Another Edge and a Short Story which I'll have to get a box of. I had one before but only got to relish about 1/16 of an inch before it cracked down a vein in the wrapper.
