What Did You Smoke Today

I had an Hoyo de Monterey with a dark sumatra rapper. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. It had a descent burn and a good draw. Great price! Have any of you guys tried the HDM dark sumatra?

8/6= Another Edge and a Short Story which I'll have to get a box of. I had one before but only got to relish about 1/16 of an inch before it cracked down a vein in the wrapper.

Glad to see you had better luck with the Short Story quagmire. It would've been a shame to have written them off.

Sat outside for about an hour listening to the owls hoot at each other in the woods around the house while I had a C18 robusto. Very nice smoke. Stayed pretty mild the whole stick. Early this morning I sat outside and listened to the hawks and had a hemingway short story with my coffee.

Last week I bought a short story at a shop across town for $7 (I was a little desperate for one since it had been a while). Friday I went to the local discount tobacco shop and found them for $4.40. I bought a few for morning smokes.

I just had another one of my quickly disappearing supply of Bolivars and I am about to light up an Ashton Cabinet No. 8. Too bad that I have to spoil the mood by working but what can I do?

Had some friends over and had good conversation, good whisky, and a Cusano Corojo - not a bad combination.

I certainly won't write the short storys off now Axe. They just seem so sensitive to lower humidity. I've noticed this with most Fuentes I've had for some reason. Maybe I'll set up my old desktop for higher humidity smokes and keep my fridgidor around 65% since primarily I smoke the Ecuadorian and Nicaraugran? blends.

Morning, short story. Mid morning, La Gloria Cubana Serie R #4 natural. Lunch, Vegas 5 Gold torpedo. Before dinner, Excalibur 1066. After dinner with Manhattans, R G petite corona.

So here it is, almost 1:30 am est Monday morning. I worked a 16 hour day today and I am up enjoying my first AF Hemingway signature. A gift from my brother. Great taste, and great aroma. It's a damn shame I'm almost done!

So know you understand how some of us in the brotherhood of the morning Short Story feel right before we lay one to rest

As for me, this evening I enjoyed a M2 while watching Sunday Night Baseball...and yes, I was happy with both

haha...you like those edges don't ya!
So do I.

friday nite...Padron 4000
Sat afternoon...AF chateau
Sat eve.. EDGE!!!!!

Last night I cooked dinner for my wife, made love then went outside with a glass of McCallan 18 and a Drew Estate Natural.

Great combination of the two flavors.

All in all....one of the best nights of the month!

Mmmm - Macallan - I'm jealous. I've been 'slumming' with Makers Mark and Knob Creek because bills took too much for me to be able to get a nice bottle of scotch - Macallan or Glen Morangie - my two favorite beverages

This is Weird!

Honduran Primero
Edge Torpedo seconds
Both smoked on the links and both smoked great to the nub.

Padron 4000
Hoya Dark Sumatra Epicure
Both smoked sitting on my arse and both had problems. Tunneling and too tight.

Kinda bummed me out. Three cigars on Sunday and all had problems but the CR Special Reserve I've been into lately helped to soothe me!

Had a Griffins 300 for lunch - mild but nice spicy taste to it. HIt some golf balls before the rains came and then sat back and lit her up on the patio of the golf course. Great draw - the smoke just hung there - enjoyed every minute of it.

I started with an AF Best Seller, had a diploma around lunch, and I am about to light up a Ramon Allones Specially Selected. Later I will probably have a Partagas Fabuloso.

I started the day with a Hemingway Short Story, then had an AF Exquisito, and finished with a Consuegra #17.

I have 2 edge's in my humidor. The corojo and the maduro. What should I expect from these cigars? Which one should I smoke first?

The corojo. Its not much milder in my opinion but it doesn't "linger" as long if you don't like it. If they're the missiles, that's anothers story and then definately the corojo.
