What Did You Smoke Today

I smoked a CAO MX2. I will definately be getting more of these. Loved every minute of it.

Been smoking a lot of Petersons lately. Great smoke for the prices they are going at now.

i smoked my first c.com cameroon label, wont be my last great smoke for the price

I bought a c.com sampler pack a couple months ago. I am now hooked on the Cameroon. For the price they are wonderful. Today had a CAO Cameroon label, and a La Flordita Pancho Maduro (given to me by a friend). It was an ok smoke. More full bodied than I like, but still for a freebie pretty good.

I ahve been slacking with my reports!! Thursday, I smoked a very nice Punch Punch lonsdale, and Friday it was a Rocky Patel Vintage second. Both cigars were on the mild side, I am thinking it is time for something a little stronger for next week.

Gordon, I think you're ready for a Don Pepin.

:D :D :D

Bolivar 1994 Belicoso Fino that I grabbed from the box pass.

Very nice cigar, makes me wonder what these were like to begin with. It's nice and smooth to smoke, one small draw produces a lot of smoke. The taste is good, a little woody to my palate, some very light spiciness on occasion. It's actually a lot more complex than I thought it would be. I figured 16 years of age would marry everything together but thats not the case. This is a perfect late morning/early afternoon smoke. Not too strong but not a flyweight cigar either.

Graycliff professional 1999. What a nice buttery smoke. I have 4 more I think I will just sit on for awhile. Very nice.

I'm currently smoking a Cohiba Red Dot churchill. I have to assume the Cuban version is much better, but man this thing is a let down. It does have a bit of Cameroon flavor, but other than that it's bland, mild and wimpy. A Fuente 8-5-8 Flor Fina or c.com Cameroon label is far far better IMHO. I can't say it's bad... no nasty taste. Just a shortage of taste.
Also, it's having wrapper issues. It split when I cut it with my Xikar, and it's got a bit of a tear. At least it's nothing I can't fix with my little bottle of "El Torcedor" cigar glue. It's the same stuff torcedores use to put the caps on a cigar, and has very little effect on flavor. I highly recommend keeping some around. It's a smokesaver.

I think I'll have to do a little penance after this and smoke something strong. I've got a some La Flor Dominicana double ligeros I picked up recently, so I think I'll smoke one of those once this is done with. I had a La Flor double ligero double corona in the oscuro wrapper early this week and thought it was fantastic. I'll just have to decide between that and the LFDDL maduro chisel I picked up at the same time. Usually I just smoke a Camacho in this situation, but I had a Diploma last night and I prefer to mix it up.

Ok, it's getting a little better now. Maybe it'd match for the 8-5-8 if they cost the same, but it's $15 and the Fuente's $5. Still, it's a lot better than a Macanudo. At least I'm not smoking cardboard and there's no skunky flavor.

For some reason I have never liked the Cohiba Red Dot series. I think a lot of that may have to do with the anticipation of the Cohiba name and the price tag as well. They aren't bad, they just aren't anything special.

Now the RP Olde World Maduro Robusto I just nubbed was special. Excellent smoke.

Zino Platinum Pudge ... which I lit up after mauling a CAO Criollo with my new and very lame scissors. The Zino is nice, simple, dark taste. The ash is a bit fluffy though, so bits of it keep flitting about.

I'm currently enjoying a PAN 64 Principe before getting ready for work this evening.
Last night I had a Graycliff Espresso PG

The PG was incredible and I'm glad I was sitting in a recliner...I did not want to move.
The Padron is burning evenly and is producing an incredible aroma. I prefer the maduros over the naturals but I figured I'd change it up a bit.

Had a Cusano '97 last night. First cigar in over a week. I hate the snow and cold.

Hmm, Don Pepin eh? Sounds pretty good to me, will be good to see how they are doing.

Managed to sneek out into the little blizzard we are having and smoke a great HdM Rothchild Double Maduro. These have about 4 months or so on them, and are coming on very nicely.

I smoked a 5 Vegas Limitada 2006 last night. Burned great and had a little spice to it. Great flavor and tons of smoke. I gave my buddy who was smoking with me a c.com purple label that had an enjoyable aroma to it. No complaints
