What Did You Smoke Today

Cloudy,

i had the saphirre a couple months ago, and felt the exact same way you did with the cameroon. Very bland and not very exciting. It has been mentioned here that the emerald's are the way to go. I cant wait for your feelings once you light one of those up.

You know, of all the Aurora cigars my favorite is the Cien Anos Bellicoso but for the money I consider the 1495 Corona one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. The Preferidos are wonderfuly constructed but lacking, so far at least. I am really looking forward to those Emerald's. Ecuadorian Sungrown...That sounds nice.

1495, great cigar. Really like them. Razor edge burn.

If you have not tried one yet I highly recomend them.

Alex, if you don't have these; get them. They will sell.

Last night I had a Diamond Crown Maximus - Double Corona that the missus bought me a while back. The review here at cigar.com is pretty much spot on. Great easy smoke.

Diamond Crown anything doesn't do it for me for some reason.

La Flor Dominica Double Ligero Chisel was tonights smoke. Fantastic cigar as always, just wish they were not so hard to find around town. These are easily one of those cigars I would recommend that anybody keep a few of in the humi.

i would love to have a few in my humi... why dont you send me some the rest of yours?

in all reality i have heard good things about this from everyone. I hear that is VERY strong, close to the diploma. I will have to buy some of these.

Wow Cloudy Im amazed....I've smoked a lot of the platinum preferidos, as well as the platinum robustos, and they have been very consistant...Great flavor, great burn, nice sweet cameroon. Ive never heard a bad review of them before.

Tonight I'm smoking a RASS. As always, smooth and creamy with a lot of rich tobacco flavors. This is an excellent cigar with consistent quality.

I had my second Diablo tonight. I'm a sucker for oddballs and underdogs. When I read about these and their rather brief and dubious life I had to give 'em a spin. I found a few online and got 'em in the mail yesterday. Very nice smoke. Mellow but chock fulla flavor.

I was given a Don Lino Africa today from a friend. It seemed a bit dry but was not in a position to get it back to the humidor so I tried it on the spot. Don't know much about it and it seemed to be wrapped fairly loose but smoked nice. I got a couple of comments that it smelled good from others around though.

I have never heard of this cigar before, any comments form the experts here.

aah... the don lino Africa. very nice cigar. i don't see them as much as i would like to.

i believe it's the first cigar to use Cameroon tobacco as a filler, not just the wrapper.

i smoked a new rocky Patel "old world reserve" very good cigar, i don't care what CA says about it. i had a Churchill, and enjoyed every minute of it. the finish on that cigar is awesome! try one if you can.

CAO Brazillia - It was a bit dry, but still smoked perfectly. And tasted wonderful. I'm finding I like the medium body, full flavor smokes best.

I had a padron 3000 maduro last night with a couple martinis. I am normally a scotch man, but for some reason was feeling a martini and it really was a nice combination with the cigar, which is one of my current favorites. That puppy smoked great, draw was perfect and not a single burn issue, and the flavor was very pleasant. It was a good night.

Great cigar weekend so far...

I smoked a Padron 1964 Anniversary Imperial Maduro yesterday with some nice coffee and a little bit of Rittenhouse Rye on the side. Man, I love those cigars. Gotta get independently wealthy or come up with a rice uncle to get a few boxes of those.

Today, I just had a ERDM Choix Supreme (!) with a weeeeeee dram of single malt on the side. Again, such a great cigar. My first and certainly not my last. I was lucky enough to get one bombed to me and I am so happy I did.

Can't smoke during the Super Bowl here, but maybe afterwards, I'll see what else I can dig up.

Have a great day all...
Aubrey

Went to the local B&M and watched some of the pre-game on the wide screen and enjoyed a Punch Rare Corojo with a couple of great guys their.
GO BEARS

Last night I had a padron 1926. The burn was good, but I was not too impressd with the flavour. I think I built up this ciagr too much in my mind. I liked the 64 maduro much better than this (natural). Feeling so unsatisfied; I had a Partagas Chico (habana) and that made me feel much better.
