What Did You Smoke Today

tonight i'm going to try a Don Tomas cameroon collection. I'll let y'all know how I like it. Its been great trying different cigars and seeing how they taste different.

A Five Vegas Series 'A' Artisan after dinner. Getting ready to put the torch to a RP Vintage 1990 Churchill (thanks Aubrey!) while I watch the hockey game.

Nothing yet, but I worked lunch service today so now I'm heading to the beach with a Monte #4 and a Padron 6000 in hand.

I just finished a very nice HdM Double Maduro Rothchild - an excellent smoke!

last night I had a nice corona from my local cigar maker. Hand rolled cigars are such a nice change of pace sometimes, and this was no exception.

This morning was a Ghurka Expedition. I finally found a Ghurka I didnt like. The thing just didnt have enough going on for me to be really interested. The last half started pulling a bitterness to it as well.

I'm going to make it up to myself with an LGC Serie R Maduro on the way home.

Smoking an RP Vintage 1992, Great cigar. I like the 1990 a little better, but I will definately be smoking more of these!!!

Smoked a Ghurka Napalese Warrior on the way into work today. Very enjoyable smoke.

It's Friday So I'm going to spoil myself with a Graycliff Esresso on the way home.

Way to spoil yourself fishstix!

Last nite before dinner was a 5 Vegas Gold Nugget and after dinner was a 5 Vegas Classic Panatela. I had to try the new arrivals. Right now I'm about to enjoy a cup of Brazilian coffee with another of the nuggets. Should be a great start to a great day.

Well I thought I would spoil myself but my taste seems to run differently. The Graycliff Espresso, while I knew it was "top shelf", wasnt up to what I really expect in a smoke. Dont get me wrong I liked it alot and I could tell it was a premium hand rolled beauty, but it lacked - - - "something"..... Up note was the smell of the offhand smoke was wonderful. Maybe a few more months will tell a different story on the remainders I have. I need to try that PGX? Someone reviewed it as buttery. Who knows....

Finally had an Ashton VSG Torpedo as my Saturday smoke. Wowed me like the Cohiba did but was slightly milder. If I could only find a box of these I'd be a happy camper. I'm keeping my eye open.

Anyone know when Ashton ships new "rounds" to the vendors?

Smoked a big bowl in my pipe this morning and had a really nice perdomo this afternoon.

I just finished a Comacho Croyolar that has been sitting in my humi for a little while now. What a great cigar!!

I felt exactly the same way about the Padron 1926 Anniversary. A top notch, smooth cigar for sure, but didn't impress me at all, especially when considering the cost.

Tatuaje Noella for a late afternoon smoke. Jose Seijas Robusto after dinner. I'd recommend both to anybody, these were two fantastic cigars.

Today was an awesome and much needed relaxing day for me after a hectic and busy Saturday. I build scale model aircraft, almost exclusively WWII era and spent 6 - 7 hours on the patio working on a 1/24 scale P-51 Mustang and smoking cigars. The morning started off with a 5 Vegas Gold Nugget and a cup of Brazilian coffee. Both were wonderful. Originally I planned to have a CCOM Purple Label before lunch and a Blue Label afterwards but the lady came home with lunch just as I was lighting up, so the Purple Label became an after lunch smoke and I skipped the Blue Label for the day. The Purple had an awesome floral aroma before lighting much like the Cusano 18. However, unlike the Cusano 18, it came over in the flavor as well. Creamy with hints of earthiness, it blew the Cusano 18 away, which I'm not particularly fond of (to me it is a bland cigar despite the bogus 91 rating from Cigar Aficionado). Before dinner it was a 5 Vegas Series A Robusto, another really good cigar. After a great spicy beef teriyaki dinner I enjoyed yet another 5 Vegas, this one being a Classic Panatela. Now I'm off for a shower and a bit of tv before going to bed. I've got to say this has been one of the best days I've had in quite some time. All of these cigars are inexpensive and each worth every penny.

Hope all fo you had as great of a Sunday as I did.

in a way i agree that the cusano 18 shouldnt get at 91. However, I dont think it is flavorless. It isnt a powershouse cigar; it isnt supposed to be. I found that the cusano 18 had a good earthieness and a slightly sweet cream taste to it with mild pepper on the finish.

the purple label is good but dont discount the cusano 18. Give it another shot. Its a very subtle cigar and the flavors get overpowered. my prefered beverage with the cusano 18 is water.

....just my opinion
