What Did You Smoke Today

"Wyatt Earp Days" here this weekend. Gonna wander around town, help out where I can. I'm taking along a Monte Afrique Kilimanjaro, a PSP2, and a VR Unicos.

Bolivar Royal Corona, just love this cigar each and every time. Lots of flavor and depth with unprecedented consistency.

Four cigar day. 8)

Tatuaje Petit
C.com Cuban Torpedo
Tinder Box Vencedor Sumatran Torpedo
Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial Robusto

All great cigars. The TB Vencedor really surprised me.

Yesterday was a big cigar day for me:

RP Vintage 92 Robusto
5 Vegas 'A' Artisan
Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino 'Captiva'
CAO Brazilia 'Gol'
Gurkha Centurian XX

My first 5 cigar day!!!

I just finished a Choix Supreme while picking some herbs from my garden.
I figure since it's my friday I'll make something nice for family meal at the restaurant tonight.

I've heard too many compliments about those cigars to ignore. I'm going to have to put them on my "must buy" list.

Oh yea the CX2 is an awesome cigar IMHO. I'm a maduro fan but I think it's much better than the MX2 and definitely worth a try.

Last night I had a PSD4. Although it was sitting in the humidor for at least six months it was still very wet. The draw was also a little loose. I'll have to open the box in the humidor and let the RH settle a bit more before revisiting. The flavor was still good, but it's not what I have come to exepect out of this cigar.

After a good brunch at my gf's brother's today I had a Blue Label, and have just finished a V. Sinclair Series 55 maduro. To be honest, I didn't have much hope for this cigar as the Sun Grown was a bit much for me and the Cameroon wasn't my style (the only Cameroon I've found I've really like a lot is the Gurkha Boer). To my surprise it was a pretty good cigar. If you're not familiar with the 55, the hype is 5 different tobaccos from 5 different countries (although I have yet to find out what all 5 of either are). At 8 x 50, you'd better have a couple hours with nothing to do if you plan on smoking one of these. It was earthy and creamy with a light spiciness all the way through. Not very complex but was well worth the $2.50 it cost me in the sampler I got. It was a good after dinner cigar with a Guinness. IMHO opinion, the 55's need some aging before you smoke them. I'll be trying the Corojo sometime within the next few weeks as well, I hope it's as good as the Maduro was.

Smoked a bunch of stuff the past couple days, Padron 6000, LGC Serie R #6, Cuban Label Torpedo, Pepin Blue Invictos, Opus X Perf #5, ERDM Oscura Larga and a lllusione F9. Great weekend for sure.

That Illusione F9 was a gift from the local b+m owner in exchange for a Cuvee Grand I gifted him. Never heard of them before but I am ready to buy more now. Nice cigar, thought I tasted chestnut, charred wood and dark chocolate throughout the smoke. Not the best burn but thats probably because I just smoked it after a day in my humi. Five smoke rings out of six.

I'm heading to Palm Springs for the day...one of those siiting by the pool, sipping drinks and smoking a couple of cigars kind of day.

I'm bringing a Monte Nº2, a Casa Fuente robusto, and for the ride I have a RP Vintage perfecto.
Today's my Sunday so I'm going to relax.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!

Days off?!?!?!?! Since when?!?!?! Enjoy it, Axe, because you'll be spending most of the next 50-60 years in the kitchen. Smoke something good and really relax. People in your business don't often get to do that.

Felipe Gregorio Power 15th Anni Torpedo got lit up tonight. I really was looking forward to this cigar and about two inches in I just let it go out. All I could taste was hay, it didnt want to burn at all and I wasn't in the mood for trying to like a cigar. Lit up a LFD Chisel next, that seemed to do the trick.

last night I had a Pardon 2000 maduro. The draw and burn was perfect. It started a little harsh, but mellowed out about an inch or so in and then was a pleasure to the end.

A Rocky Patel Vintage 1990...

This is another cigar that at first I wasn't too thrilled about, but now really like them and I keep buying them to have on hand.
