What Did You Smoke Today

Had my 1st VSG Sundaty afternoon. While it was good, it falls in the sa,e category for me as Opus X. Not worth the cash. I'd rather have (6) 5 Vegas Series A. The light was good and the burn was excellent. Just not all that impressed.

IT has been a great morning in Saskabush. I smoked a very nice Punch Gran Corojo, and followed with - still smoking- a Ghurka Doble Maduro!

Sunday, started my day with coffee and a Matasa 30th perfecto on the patio, finished the evening having drinks on the patio with the Mrs. and a Romeo & Juletta Belisimo, a good day :)

Monday and today after work a fonsica serie f robusto.

LFD Factory Press II

Bought two of these over the new year, smoked the first one a while ago and it was a lot on the palate, almost too much. Some age has done wonders for this cigar. Now I gotta buy a five pack and let them sit, I'm guessing this would be phenomenal after a year or three of aging.

RP OSG last nite & an RP Sungrown tonite. The Sungrown is smoother but lacks some of the flavor of the OSG imo. Both are very nice smokes though.

Just finished up a Short Story after lunch. The only problem I've encountered since finding this site is that I end up burning my fingers and lips a lot more since the cigars have been so good.

This morning was a great morning for yard work and cigars. I smoked most of a Bucanero Full Sails, and a Padron 3000 that was gifted to me by our brother Eric. Thanks brother, that was a great cigar!!

Saint Luis Rey Serie G. Not a bad smoke, not a great smoke. Maybe it could have been aged a little more...

Monte Media Noche Torpedo.

Out of a fiver I got one bad this time. The cigar was plugged up by the head of the cigar. I had to massage it a bit to even get a half way decent draw. After all that it had some burn problems the first half of the smoke but once all that was dealt with I got to enjoy it to the nub. Very spicy and delicious. I dont think this ONE will deter me from getting some more.

I smoked another one of my Padilla Ltds this morning - what a great cigar. Next up, the Fonseca Cubano Limitado that has been calling me for quite a while now.

Smoked an Opus X Fuente Fuente outside after a long day of work. Sat outside with some iced tea and the crickets for company.

Damn that was great cigar, maybe the best Opus I have ever smoked.

I smoked a CASA FUENTE tonight WOW what a cigar. This cigar is everything a cigar should be. Flavor was a wow factor of 10+ with no bitterness of harshness at all burn was well perfect to say the least draw was also perfect not to tight and not to loose. I would have to say this is the first 6 ring I have smoked and that is only because 6 is the highest rating on that scale. This is ( WAS ) the first one I have ever even seen much less smoked.

I got to get me more of these!! Anybody who has not had one should..

After a long busy week followed by dinners and meetings after work and no cigar yesterday, I had a Series 55 when I got home from work today, then dug deep into the coolidor for a treat. Pulled out a Graycliff Vintage 1999 and man was it good. Smooth and flavorful with a good draw and great pre- and post-light aroma. The lady even liked the smell of this one. I smoked this sucker further down than any cigar to date. I even put the nub on a needle attached to a syringe and smoked it until my lips burned. And no, I'm not a drug addict! I work in a pharmacy so I brought the syringe home because I build models (mostly WWII Aircraft) and I can use the needle/syringe to put a perfect seam of glue in tight areas. I can't say it was a 6 ring like the one Travis just had, but it was a strong 5 ring smoke (only because we don't use half rings). I've got a couple more and think I'll be picking up some before they're all gone. It just made the stress from a long week melt away.

Smoked a big fat La Flor Factory Press while hanging with the mookson line.

Started the afternoon with a Padron 1964 Diplomatico Natural. Man, what a great cigar! Perfect draw and burn every time with tons of flavor.

After that, I smoked a Quintero Belicoso. I had seen the brand for a while on the shelves but never picked one up. I'm glad I finally did. Great medium bodied smoke. A little bit of trouble with the burn, but it had a nice spice to it (not pepper...more like baking spice). I could definitely see myself smoking more of these.

I finished the night with a Partagas that was amazing as always.
