What Did You Smoke Today

Yesterday I had a rocky Patel OSG Toro. Full falvored and rich. Leather and tobaco. Burned pretty good. Not a bad cigar. I had to relight it so many times I can't give it an accurate review. Teh relights were of logistical nature; not issues with the cigar. Next time I hope to enjoy it all at once.

Last night I had a Montecristo #4 from 04. Still had that characteristic pepper and burned very well.

4/6 smoke rings.

Last night I had an Anejo #46 (an awesome smoke) and tonight I'm heading out on the patio to fire up a Hemingway Classic (thanks hotplantbill!!)

Still trying to decide what special cigar to smoke for the 4th tomorrow

This morning I had yet another Monte. Petit Edmundo. So much flavor in such a little cigar. It keeps getting better and better.

4/6 smoke rings. I can't wait to get some rest on these, but I've been smoking way too many to let them get there.

Last night I had an H. Upmann Corona from 2000. It started a bit green but turned out nice in the end with lots of earth and woody flavors.

3/6 smokerings.

Yesterday had a Padron 6000 mad and a El Rico Habano after dinner. IMO and very little experince the el rico is very "cubanesque"(sp?) in flavor. I was told that it was originally produced for cuban people living in Miami that coudnt get the real deal. Good smoke though

Smoked some frog morton outta one of Nordings today. Very nice!

Had a RASS with some Macallan, last night. Peppery, sweet goodness. It had been a while since I smoked a large ring cigar. It was a great night.

Had a CAO Criollo last night with a few Newcastle Brown's while hanging out by the pool last night. Really enjoyed this. Full of flavor, a little pepper, lots of smoke and a great burn. 40 minutes of pleasure!

the only thing that got smoked here was this tooth of mine. Got a root canal redone this afternoon. Hey now! Thats fun indeed! WoOt! Where's the Makers????

Right now I'm smoking a C18 maduro robusto (which I prefer to the toro). A nearly perfect smoke IMHO. Excellent construction, which is the standard for all Cusano's and a perfect burn. Its an aboslutely perfect day in the Chicagoland are, clear skies with temps in the high 70's, and I've picked the perfect cigar to match!

Had a CAO CX2 last nite with a Guinness. I've got to say this is my pick for the week. I prefer maduros and cameroon wrappers, and this is undoubtedly my favorite of many different cameroons I've tried, mainly because it has just a touch of sweetness like you get from a maduro. I've had the MX2 as well but IMHO, this is better and worth the extra few dollars.

i think i agree on all accounts.

Had a nice couple of days relaxing at the lake with the extended family and some fine cigars. Started off Friday before dinner with a very enjoyable Short Story. I was really happy with this cigar and it made me feel a lot better because the last one I smoked had a really tough draw and frustrated me quite a bit. I've smoked 3 of these in the last few weeks and 2 were top notch, so hopefully I just got a rare bad one.
Then after dinner I finished off the evening with a 100 Anos Belicoso and I really enjoyed the first half of the cigar. I really liked the flavors and was having a really great time. Unfortunately things changed around the half way mark. I'll start by saying a storm did start to roll in with some heavy winds but we were fairly protected. But from the half point on I had several relights and had a tough time keeping it burning evenly. I really had to work at keeping the cigar going and going good so I was puffing on it quite a bit. Ended up being more like work and took a lot of the enjoyment out of the second half of the cigar.
And earlier today I smoked a C.Com Corojo Torpedo and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was a nice easy smoke with good flavor. The draw was easy the whole way through and it stayed well lit even though I was smoking it on the golf course and setting it down quite a bit. I think the fact that it was the first time I enjoyed playing a few holes of golf with my 8 year old son definitely added to the enjoyment.

All in all it's been a good weekend so far. Hopefully I'll get in time for at least one more stick tomorrow. I recently got a box of 100 Anos Churchills off cigarbid so I'll definitely be giving them a few more tries. Right now the size of the Churchill seems a bit intimidating but I'm hoping with a bit more time in my Fridgidor I will enjoy it a lot more than the Belicoso size.

IT is a fine day in Sask. and to start off my month of vacation, I smoked a very fine Anejo, that started off excellent, and didn't change an inch till I smoked it to the nub!!

My afternoon smoke - while supervising the mowing of my neighbors lawn is going to be........

We will just have to see won't we!!

It was a La Aurora 1495 - a perfect way to spend an hour or so in the back yard!!

I had an MX2 in the backyard while cleaning the pool. It was excellent. My first MX2 of many to come, I'm sure.
