What Did You Smoke Today

I just realized that it has been quite awhile since I posted what I smoked.

This afternoon I had a QDO corona from 05. What a great cigar - the draw was perfect - the first half inch was a little rough. Earthy, but I think I forgot to blow out first and it was a little too harsh. After that it had a more earthy smooth coffee taste. The burn was excellent in the slight wind outside the office.

This continued until the last 1/3 which added a great cocoa taste and one of the smoothest finishes on the cigar. I was drinking a cup of Kona at the time which really complemented the smoke.

Great cigar - burnt my fingers at the end.

I had a Maria Mancini De Gaulle tonight. This has become my hands down everyday cigar.

Isn't anyone else smoking these days. I had a Don Diego Playboy tonight while I fought with comcast on the phone.

I just finished a Camacho Coyolar Puro Rothchild. Wow! Started off veryy spicy. A bit of an uneven burn, but the draw was excellent. Pretty powerful cigar. The cigar seemed to mellow out a bit from the spicy start and I really enjoyed it. Not for a beginner though.

Yesterday, I smoked a CAO America. I'm gonna have to pick up a few when they come out. First of all, they just look cool with the CT Shade pinstripe design. Second, the draw and burn were absolutely perfect. Great constructon. Third, while this is a powerful cigar (as would be expected having 100% ligero filler), it didn't mess me up even on a light lunch. It wasn't the most complex cigar, but it was very smooth and I did get hints of different flavors as I smoked. I suck at pinpointing flavors...I just know I liked what I tasted. I was also able to exhale through the nose with no problem.

All in all, very good stuff!

Smoking a CI Legends White label. Bought a box a few months ago and forgot about them. This is the first cigar I have smoked out of the box. Very nice smoke. Would definately smoke another.

a few days ago i had a fonseca habana seleccion
yesterday i had a punch gran puro.

the punch was wonderful. Its everything that i thought it would be.

the Fonseca was not as rich as i thought it would be. I guess for some reason i thought there would be more to it.

it wasnt bad though.

A couple of days ago, I smoked one of the new Dunhills that Torano is making. Not a bad cigar at all. It is rather mild, but it has some pretty good flavors. Unfortunately, none of them really jumped out at me. I could easily read my book and forget about the cigar. If they are reasonably priced, I could see myself buying a couple for morning smokes.

Last night, I had an Opus X in the Fuente Fuente size. Great as always. I paired it with some Sazerac Rye. Spicy cigar with a spicy drink. Gotta love it. Great way to end a long week.

Beautiful day today in WV. Pulled a TV out on my deck and I'm watching the yankees while I smoke. Just had a Gomez y Sanchez Herencia and now I'm lighting up a Ashton VSG sorcorer that's been in my humi for a long time.

The last few days I have been a little overboard, hey these are all considered b-day smokes anyways. Some of the victims?

Ashton ESG Churchill
Opus X Fuente Fuente (2)
100 Anos Bellicoso
Fuente Anejo Shark
OMB 1 Torpedo
Fuente God of Fire

I'd have to say, the Anejo was the best of the bunch, ESG a close second.

Yesterday I was in the mood or a RP, so I broke out an edge Maduro theat has been just sitting there staring at me for a minimum of 6 months. Great smoke. I think it was my lst one. May have to buy some more.

Today was a rare two-cigar day. I took the day off from work and decided to light up one of my favorite cigars, the incomparable RASS. As usual it was a great cigar rich in flavor but still leaving the palate clean. My second smoke was a Perdomo Lot 23 Toro. Although I don't smoke as many NC's as I used to, this is still a great cigar full of great Nicaraguan tobacco.

El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme

Great smoke with hints of Honey and Vannila throughout. Just enjoyed it from begining to end!!

A hero of mine, and one of many reasons I was Law Enforcememnt died 33 years ago today, Buford Pusser.

A Monte 2 tonight, maybe I'll watch Walking Tall as well.
