What Did You Smoke Today

Cohiba XV must say it was better then I expected, but then again I didn't pay for it. Do gifted cigars always tast better?

ive been landscaping the front yard...

my friends and i smoked a RyJ reserva real

good stuff

Had a Cigar.com Blue Label Churchill around mid-morning.

Enjoying a Rocky Patel Olde World Maduro Robusto (my first) with a rum and tonic this evening. And the key word here is "enjoying." I was afraid I didn't let it rest long enough, but this is a very nice cigar.

I like those Blue Labels with some coffee in the morning. They're a good inexpensive smoke to start the day off with. I haven't tried the RP Olde World yet but I've got one that's been in my humi a few weeks that Craig gifted me in a PIF. He said it's one of his favorite cigars. I just may have to fire it up tomorrow.

Welcome to the boards.

Currently smoking a San Cristobal in the Guajiro size (lonsdale). Good lord, this is great! I think I may smoke another one tonight. I'll put a review up soon. If you see these, buy them.

Had the usualy 5V Gold w/coffee this morning, and just finished a Drew Estate Naturals - the Green Hero. What a dumb name. Anyhow, it wasn't bad, but nothing about it that would make me want to buy one. It was in the package of Naturals my older brother gave me. All in all, it was just an average, ordinary smoke. The Mixed Elements was actually pretty decent, and the Clean Robusto wasn't bad either, but about the only one I would buy so far is the White Rabbit. Maybe the Mixed Elements for something different, it paired up nicely with a glass of iced green tea. Looking forward to having a 5V Miami after dinner. Had the petite corona size last nite and it was a good smoke, but I still like the toro size better.

I love three day weekends!
Was stuck at a non-cigar-friendly cookout on Monday, so I had to make up for it today. Had an Arturo Fuente Curly Head (my first-ever candela) for breakfast. Other than the fact that it had a plug the size of an acorn in the last third, it wasn't bad at all.

This evening, before heading to work, I smoked a Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Consul. For a small cigar, that had some pretty big strength.

This has been a pretty good weekend for me also. Since Friday I've had:

2005 OpusX Forbidden Lancero
RyJ Corona (ISOM)
PSD4
Oliva Master Blends I Torpedo
Casa Fuente Robusto

and tonight (my birthday!) I'm enjoying an OpusX Perfecxion X soon to be followed by a Padron 40th Anniversary!!!

Happy birthday, Dennis!! Sounds like a great weekend of smokin' and a nice evening with a couple of great cigars. Hope you're pairing them with a few cocktails. I am jealous. Have a wonderful Birthday!

Rob

Happy Birthday Dennis, and what a great selection of smokes to celebrate it with.

Yesterday I had a La Vieja Havana after lunch. It was completely unremarkable and I'm glad it was given to me or I would have felt ripped off. Later in the day, a 5V Miami and a RASS that was gifted to me by Craig. Both were great cigars to end a great holiday with.

Thanks, guys. It really was a great cigar weekend. I can't remember the last time I got to smoke so many great cigars in such short time span. Can't wait for my next three-day weekend.

Smoking my first cigar in almost a week....Saint Luis Rey Serie A. This is the first one out of an 06 box, and it is smoking very smooth. It has subtle flavors of cedar and nutmeg with just a hint of pepper. This is a tremendous cigar that I could easily smoke again and again.

4/6 smoke rings on this one.

I smoked a San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe today. It was pretty good. Had more floral qualities than I'm used to from a cigar. Overall I liked it. Unfortunately it was my only one, but it made for quit a good day.

Last night was a rare 2 smoke night for me. Went to the local cigar lounge where I ran into Puff. I started with an 07' PSD4 very good smoke still needs some time though. Then I moved to an 06' RASS, great smoke can't wait to tast it with more age. but already very good.
Those to go along with football, a few Mcallen 18's a Boddingtons and an Extosse, and talking with Puff and his girlfriend made for a very relaxing evening!!

I've had two treats the last two nights. Wed I tried the Rocky Patel R4, what a great smoke at a low price!

Last night I tried the cigar.com camaroon...also an excellent smoke at a great price!

Keith Moon died 29 years ago today, and Warren Zevon died four years ago today. I'll be toasting these legendary musicians with a Diamond Crown Maximus Torpedo.

Can't beleive it's 4 years ago that Warren Zevon died. Wow! Well, I had a La Gloria Cubana Series R Maduro No 4. Thought it was great.
