What Did You Smoke Today

Today I had a couple 5 Vegas Shorties, a 5 Vegas Gold, a Punch Gran Puro, and a Carlos Tarano Virtuoso.

Virtuosos are splendid...thanks for introducing me to those kuzi...they rank number 2 on my Maduro list...

im enjoying a genuine pre embargo cuban counterfeit 1958 i seen at the local shop...cost under 4 bucks and its not bad...used the guillotine for it and this thing draws so easy...burns a little uneven but so far so good...nice taste..not bad for the price

Tonight I'm smoking an 04 Vegas Robaina Familiar...lots of cream and leather flavors with a slight amount of spice. 4/6 smoke rings.

Today was great...being Friday, I packed a special Herf-a-dor...my first Gurkha Regent...which was very good, just the right strength for that first mid-morning smoke. I also had my first Maxx by Alec Bradley (which my new avatar is that very experience as I drive my semi down the road), which I would compare to the Punch Gran Puro...very similar in taste but the Maxx adds just a slight hint of bitter to the pallet, which keeps the mouth moist, the Gran Puro does not have this on the pallet...that i have noticed anyway. I also had my first Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend, which at first tasted like a 5 Vegas Shorty...it had that spicy Cameroon start to it...lovely cigar all in all, the spice subsides to a nice smooth very balanced taste, balanced enough that it jumped out at me that it didn't jump out at me...if that makes sense....and I ended the day with a 5 Vegas Shorty...small but satisfying. :D

acidity...i meant the Maxx has a slight addition of acidity to the pallet, not bitterness....that acidity made me salivate just enough to keep my mouth moist during the smoke...i actually thought it was very clever.

Today I had only 1 smoke....a Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Maduro.

Wonderful. Very balanced, no outstanding tastes on the tounge, with a taste of black licorice on the pallet and rye whiskey through the nose.

5V Shorty w/coffee this morning, later in the afternoon a Rocky Patel Signature w/a Starbucks, and just fished a Partagas Black Bravo with a Guinness. I love the Black and it's been awhile since I've had one. Creamy and spicy although not real complex, but an outstanding cigar for the money nonetheless.

Today I'm smoking an 06 Saint Luis Rey Serie A. This cigar is quickly becoming one of my favorite corona gordas. It has lots of flavors with cream, cedar, and coffee with a buttery finish. I'm going to have to put away some of these to rest for a few years to see how they do.

Had a Monte # 4 this morning with coffee. What a way to start the day. Was able to get in 14 holes of golf this PM with my 2 boys before it got too cold to play anymore. I had a Rocky OWR and a 5 Vegas Miami during the round. Thank God the smokes were good, cause my game sure wasn't. Nice afternoon!

Had a 5V Shorty before lunch and a Tatuaje Lancero at the lounge w/a Guinness then an Old Engine Oil Special Reserve (Scottish beer aged in single malt whiskey casks for 6 months). The Engine Oil was a bit sweeter than I would have liked for following up the Guinness. The Tatuaje, as always, was great. These are rising to the top of my faves list. Pepin is the king of all cigars for me right now.

I had only one today as well.....an Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend, delicous as always.

Gurkha Grand Age,

2 hours and 48 minutes of smoking, very earthy and leathery, never burned to hot, near the end the finish became very long and very spicy

Today I had a Padron from HiTide.....the loosest, easiest drawing, best "smoked itself" cigar yet, fantastic taste....is that a normal thing to have such an easy draw on the padrons?
