What Did You Smoke Today

I smoked the new blend of don thomas. I never liked these things but the reblend was actually really good. I liked it better then the new bolivar. This new don thomas could proove to be a good pickup.

Thats what I was expecting, something light. I don't really know if it was full bodied since I have only been smoking cigars for the past month maybe, but it did have a peppery taste towards the end.

Yesterday, i smoked a CAO Italia. Very nice, smooth, but with an excellent woody taste, kind of the way spanish cedar smells. There was a subtle spice in there too, couldnt decide exactly what it was though. The construction and appearance were both excellent.

On the plate for tonight: A Bolivar Belicosos Finos or a La Gloria Cubana Serie R. I cant decide! Never tried either... anyone have a preference? I might just have to smoke 'em both!

I haven't had the pleasure of trying the Bolivar, but I strongly suggest the Serie R. That stick is shaping up to be one of my favorites. The Maduro is even better!!

I am with CMW on the la gloria R

After smoking the newly reblended don thomas this morning in the natural wrapper this morning I felt I needed to give the newly blended maduro a spin and it did not dissapoint either. These were both fuller bodied realative to their old counterparts. I liked these better then most anything else made by general cigar.

Just smoked the Bolivar, not exactly everything i'd hoped it would be.
Nice flavor, very spicy, but a bit harsh as well. I tend toward the milder cigars (like the Ashton & CAO Italia) and it was a bit heavy for me.
Lookin' forward to the Serie R sometime soon ;)

Smoked a Partagas Short this afternoon at Fisherman's Wharf.
For the first inch the draw was tight. After that it was smooth sailing.
I've found that due to the enormous amount of foreign tourists that visit the Wharf,
I rarely get any stares from people in regards to my cigar smoke.
But then again, I haven't been here that long

Fuente Hemingway Signature...

I'm mean, really what can I say about the Hemingway line that hasn't already been said. The short story is what I smoke the most of them (mainly because it's a great smoke if I'm lacking an hour or so) but I like em all.

The signature tonight was no different. I had to bring the fiance to the mall, and by the time I got back I was craving a nice smoke and drink. Good draw to start off with, only got better as I smoked it. A slight bit on the mild side for me. Great appearance/construction, burnt evenly till the end. I smoked it down to my fingertips.

Tonight was one of those nights that I found myself puffing away, and all seemed right with the world :)

Axe, what surprised me was when I was in San Diego a couple months ago and everybody it seemed had cigars in their mouths. In a state with an indoor smoking ban, I just did not expect that. I was there in fact at the same time the rock and roll marathon was going on and didn't even get a second glance from the spandex track freaks.

I started out the night with a homebrewed IIPA, then had a couple Glenlivets, poured a third and had a cigar.com Cameroon label. Don't know for sure if it was the booze, but I really enjoyed this light, to medium bodied cigar. No doubt, a good stick for the price!!

Today i had a Rocky Patel 1990 which was fantastic, very light and smooth. I was drinking a guiness with it, which overpowered the taste of the cigar, then i switched to a hard cider, which was perfect. Delightful and smooth to the end. Then I had a CAO L'a anniversaire '98 which was a wonderful, medium-body stick. The taste was simple and a little woody... not anything really amazing, but still great. Maybe great just cuz its good to go back to the basics somtimes ;)
the CAO also got a little hot & harsh toward the end, not a stick i'd smoke all the way down to my fingers. Maybe thats just becuase it was the second cigar i'd had in one sitting though!

Had the pleasure of hanging out with Calibus today. I started off with one of my Añejo 46's which had to be relit twice due to the breeze. I then smoked a Cuban Cohiba Robusto, Oliva Master Blends Churchill and a Partagas Fabuloso all of which he supplied. I'm happy to say that each one was great.
Great weather, great company and great smokes...a pretty damn good day if you ask me :D

Punch Rothschild. My first smoke innearly two weeks since being at school. I needed that one bad. . .

Chris

on my drive home from the airport I started to smoke a Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 I snatched in Chicago, but it went out after an inch and then it started to rain, so I couldn't relight. :(

I smoked 5 cigars in Chicago yesterday, but that's a whole other thread. :)

Had a CAO Criollo Pato this evening while sitting on the patio listening to the owls in the woods behind the house. Fairly good smoke.

Blondie by Acid. For working in the yard, I think I'm addicted.

Also smoked some R&J I brought back from last week's fishing trip. Someone unwrapped it but did not cut or light it. Too bad for them.
