last night I had a 5 Vegas Gold...pretty good smoke, nice and mild. Tonight I'm having spaghetti for dinner, and afterwards I think I'll fire up a Diploma.
Well, I had a 5 Vegas Robusto (not the gold) last night. Probabley one of the better lower priced sticks I've had. A good medium to full bodied cigar.....I can see myself picking up a box these!
Had a Camacho Diploma this evening. It was the perfect complement to the fiery Gazpacho that I made today in the kitchen.
Yesterday I started out with a Diploma, but I found it to be a bit dried out and very harsh, so I put it down and lit up a Choix Supreme instead.
Today I started out with a Fuente Cuban Corona natural, but it had a too-tight draw and the wrapper started cracking pretty badly, so I set it down after about 2 inches. A little bit later I fired up a Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatra. Good Gawd that was a good smoke. There was so much oil on the stick that it practically shimmered, and it was one of the smoothest smokes I've ever had. I'll definitely be getting more of these.
I finished the evening off with a Fuente Cuban Corona maduro...this one was much better than the first one I tried to smoke. An enjoyable evening, overall. :thumbsup:

Very nice Tim. I remember when you were smoking the relatively cheaper cigars and wanted to try a cuban. Now you're putting down Diplomas and picking up Choix Supremes.

Razor-straight burn, lots of smoke, and it tasted great. Today was beautiful outside,
and I spent 1 hour 20 minutes enjoying this one seated outside the Maritime Museum
near the Wharf.
Then tonight I threw it into high gear and had a LFD Double Ligero Chisel.
Even with some age on it, this one still packs a mean punch 8)

Tonight i had a CAO L'Anniversaire Maduro... It was excellent, just like every other CAO i've ever tried. I'm still shopping for my first humidor, but if this keeps up im gonna need a humidor for everything else and one to fill with every box of CAOs i can get my hands on...
Smoked a Punch Gran Puro, huge ring gauge, about the length of a robusto, hanging out an upstairs bedroom window on a beautiful late summer day, talking to a neighbor about our mailbox vandalism incident which occurred some time between 2 and 5 a.m. Saturday. The cigar was very strong, rich, thick smoke, the taste of sugared blacktop all the way through. Great cigar, beautiful weather, despite the damper on a neighborhood that's otherwise a 99.9% great place to live.
Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Super Toro Gorilla (6 x58).
Advertised as rated an 89 (not sure by whom) on the box. Got it at a B & M near my house today.
Cigar was in good shape pre-smoke. Good feel, wrapper in solid condition, not at all dry. After cutting but prelight, I took a draw and it was extremely easy. Not suprisingly then, it lit quickly and was a relatively quick smoke (probably 55 minutes, and I was occupied at the time as well, so not drawing as regularly as normal).
A little on the mild side for my tastes, but a good smoke just the same. Nice earthy flavor to it, pleasant. Personally I'd rate it closer to an 85-86, and would buy the maduro next time (the store didn't have these, although I see them on CI, for example).
Also picked up another Punch Rare Corojo (yum), a short story, and a tin of CAO Brazilia (6 to a tin, saw these for the first time today, excellent

)I smoked a ton this past weekend. some opus, and lots of gurkha pre embargo. That dominican wrapper really is something else on that cigar. Capt and I loved them.
Just smoked an Anchient Warrior... it was my second. Excellent cigar. I messed up the cut a bit, so by the time it was done i had chewed the end to peices. My roomate asked if i had like a million cavities

Had a Gispert Maduro Robusto on the ride home today. Construction was very nice, draw was good, amount of smoke was good, burn was even, flavor was a little woody or a little leathery, a bit of spice to it. Fairly good medium smoke.
